Cutting wood

I have been so friggin bored over break. Yesterday, I woke up and decided to chop some firewood. I went to my garage, got an axe, and split some firewood (will post pic tomorrow). I found it easier to split the wood when i was using the whole handle instead of only using a little bit. In other words, the farther away my hands were from the blade, the easier and more strength i had in splitting the wood. IS THAT MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE?!?!?!?!

The first time in 372 years that the winter solstice coincides with a lunar eclipse!  It all starts around 1 AM tuesday (12/21) morning.  Somebody take a picture and blog it!
