1. The day:

Specific (song writing today)-five wands reversed

Basically, working on music today will be successful but I'll hate the process the whole time. Sounds about right.

2. Bicycle riding:

General-knight of swords

Specific (the bike I'm getting from my parents)- the devil reversed

So determined (if a little brash) from the knight. And the devil reversed is freedom, detachment, awareness. So either what the bike itself represents for me, or maybe the realization that this bikes not the way to go and I'll need to adjust the plan. We shall see.

Initial interpretations

Tomorrow: good emotions, complete, joyous? Good because I'll be finishing up a big project at work. Also community and friendship, so hey. Maybe a good day to go do something in the evening.

Rest of the week: wheel is what, things happen? Good becomes bad, bad becomes good, gotta have them both. Looks like upright means change generally and maybe good, and reversed means the worse change, or lack of order, or resistance to change. I think for me it'll probably be something in the chaos realm? My brains been kinda fucky lately so could be it. I'm normally pretty good at embracing change if I have enough time to think it over, so maybe a reminder to work for that inner calm.

Rest of the month: my guide notes for eight of cups don't make sense. The book says upright is abandonment and loss of interest for up and drifting and hopelessness for reversed, but my gut says upright is a pause and a rest period amidst a long journey (not necessarily a good rest, but a rest all the same) which would make reversed a lack of rest (or a rest that you don't have the courage to end). I'm not sure how drifting is a reversal of loss of interest, so I'm opting to go with my gut. Which conveniently matches August when working for a school. Breaks over, get cracking. Alternatively, I do default to listlessness if I'm not careful, so maybe the books right and August will get sloppy.

Rest of the year: ooooooh the loversssss jacket gets a man when???? Unity as well, so perhaps I should be looking out not just for a partner but also for some confirmation that decisions I'm making are the right ones. Perhaps the answer to August's listlessness? Jacket gets listfull when???

Three for tomorrow:

Thoughts:

Two fives! Fives are often rougher when upright and softer when reversed. Having one upright and one reversed feels like they kinda balance a fairly unbalanced number maybe? Definitely the overall day and the positives are tied closely for tomorrow--maybe through completion and struggle, acceptance and forgiveness will be reached.

Then we get miss wands herself. The challenges of tomorrow will require creativity to approach. There's an element of letting go with the queen of wands (my art for her has floral and feline iconography); not passive so much as patient. Set the solutions in motion and allow them to be solved. Also need to tie this to the five of wands for overall day, since wands is action and they is both wands. Positives are focused on the inherent imbalance of a five, challenges on the activity of wands. It's a complicated day, lots of layers, can't wait.

Got a busy tomorrow, so a slightly different for me three card spread

-cruel, emotional, ambitious

Thoughts:

A victory for the whole day makes me think that the two events categories are describing the events themselves, not the outcome. My little guide for queen of swords gave lots of descriptions that aren't synonyms, so those unplanned events will be absolutely unpredictable apparently. Cause emotions and ambitions aren't necessarily negative. Another word is distant, which kinda feels like the exact opposite of emotional...? Queeny can't make up her mind. Swords am I right

Thoughts:

Wow must have turned my deck upside down ha.

Now, in my deck five swords has some of my favorite art, so even though upright he's all like "ooh betrayal sounds fun and sexy" I actually really kinda like him. He's plotting and up to something sure but like so am I most of the time so it's chill. Reversed? Not so chill. Kinda directionless in a way maybe? Or maybe resolution in the sense of "great we done did the betrayal" which... I'm not sure about. Love five swords though.

In any case, two reversed major cards for the other two, wowee. Reversed lovers doesn't take much interpretation I don't think--that'll be the challenges of tomorrow. Easy enough.

Reversed wheel as opportunities is interesting--is the opportunity the chaos itself or is it an opportunity to bring about chaos? The wheel is pretty amoral anyway, so its not a concerning chaos either way--just a factual chaos. Ain't nothin to be done.

An added thought a bit later: hey it's all reversed? That's significant? Gonna be maybe a weird backwards day but wheel says to make the most of it! Stab some backs!

Also also, buddy, yeah valentines is not something you think about but...lovers reversed??? For the couples holiday? Honestly I'm more offended my singleness is framed as a challenge!

1) professional life: king of wands

-influence! Maturity! Wands is action

-intuition but also indecision, duality of choice

3) personal/social life: the sun

-joy, optimism, wooop whoop sunny yay

Thoughts:

Love me a king of wands for professional; I feel like all of my work related cards have been very positive and very "you're a confident motherfucker and you should be" which feels great. Sun, likewise, excellent. Love my friends, love people. Lean into seeing people next weekend maybe.

Two of swords ain't terrible. The hahaha knife's edge of swords in general is especially there with the two--intuition is a great way to do art, but it needs to be externalized to prevent stagnation. It only counts as going with your gut if you actually go.

Not at all how the day turned out? It was a productive day of art and creativity? Anytime I get a 'bad' reading I always say "oh clearly this is a warning to be avoided" but 'good' readings are always "oh excellent it'll be a good day"

.......not a great batch for the first one on the blog. Maybe the wands from the day will be internal, going toward some sort of decision or plan for the night? Also boooo two of cups reversed ain't very sex positive cmon cards get with it. Though I guess the optimist could read it as an issue to be fixed by the FKEs?
