I'm trying to submit my currently written and posted fics to the collection but for some reason AO3 isn't letting me. When it try, AO3 just says it can't find the collection. I'm not sure if there's something wrong on my end but my only options are to post new directly to the collection or import. I'll be able to make it work for upcoming fics but I wasn't sure if other people were having this problem too?
Hi there! I will look into it and get back to you ☺️
The AO3-Collection IS OPEN
Is there an Ao3 collection?
Yes! I will open it tonight!

Jack approached Sam late one night, when the Bunker was quiet and everyone else had gone to bed. “Can we talk?”
“Sure.” Sam set his book down. “What’s up?”
Jack bit his lip and lifted his eyes, unshed tears glistening in the below light. “I-I’m sorry. About Mary. A-And everything else.”
“I know you are,” Sam said softly. “I forgive you.”
“I know. And that’s the problem.” Jack wiped his cheeks and looked away. “You shouldn’t. I killed Mary without a second thought and I couldn’t fix it. I ran away and then I acted like it was nothing when you confronted me about it. And-And I never apologized. I don’t deserve forgiveness.”
“Hey….” Sam approached him and gently hugged him. “Hey, it’s okay. I know…. Well, okay, maybe I don’t know exactly how you feel right now but I know what it’s like to hate yourself for things that feel unforgivable. And I know it’s going to be a long time before you feel like you can have forgiveness. But I forgive you and I know Dean does too. Just…give it time. It’ll feel better.”
Jack shook his head. “No…”
“It will,” Sam insisted. “And I’m here to help with that. If you ever need anything, someone to talk to or anything like that, I’m here. Okay?”
Jack chewed his bottom lip. “Anything?”
“Of course.”
“….Would you punish me?”

Title: Angels Are Bad at Diagnosis
Created for @jackklinebingo
Squares filled: Jack & Castiel
Warnings: Blood, Sickness
Additional tags: Canon divergence, Lying, Faking Wellness, Worried Castiel
A/N: This was also written for Whumptober 2021 and posted here for @whumptober-archive. Prompt filled: Day 8- “Definitely just a cold.”
Castiel frowned when he saw that Jack’s bedroom door was closed. He knew it wasn’t uncommon for doors to be closed in the bunker, especially with all the new guests running around. But usually Jack never closed his door unless he was sleeping and it wasn’t his usual sleeping time. Also, they were meant to be leaving on a hunt soon. Normally, Jack was already packed up and bouncing on his heels near the Bunker door while he waited for Castiel to catch up.
“Jack?” he called, knocking on the door. “It’s almost time to go. Are you ready?” There was some shuffling and the door opened to reveal Jack. He smiled weakly and straightened his suspiciously damp-looking shirt.
“Hey…. Is it time to go already? I’m not packed yet….”
Castiel peeked past him and saw that Jack didn’t even have his duffle bag out yet. “We can leave whenever you’re ready but Madison and her partner are ready to go and I thought it’d be nice if we left together since we’re going in similar directions.”
“Oh, okay. Well, just give me a few minutes.” Jack started closing the door again and he put out a hand to stop him.
“Jack, are you feeling well?”
“Hm? I’m fine. Just…training a lot. With Bobby. I’m fine.”
Castiel didn’t need angelic powers to know he was lying. Jack rarely lied. He hated breaking rules or doing anything that would be considered “wrong” or “bad” or “sinful”. It was part of his desire to separate himself from his unfortunate heritage. “Bobby has been out of town with Mary for two weeks now.”
Jack’s gaze dropped to the floor. “Yeah, I know, but he left me exercises and things to do while he was gone.”
“Then I’ll need to speak to him about your training. He might be pushing you outside of your abilities….”
“No!” Jack shook his head and gently pushed him back. “I’m good. I’m just…working extra hard. Give me a few minutes and I’ll be ready to- to-” A coughing fit interrupted his explanation.
Castiel reached a hand out to steady him as the coughs wracked his body. “Jack, are you sure you’re alright? If you’re not feeling well, I can just pass this hunt along and we can stay he-”
“No!” Jack wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and slowly stood to his full height. “I’m good, honest. It’s probably just a cold or something.”
“Having a cold counts as being sick. You should stay here until you’re feeling at your best. Hunting is hard enough as it is; you don’t need to worry about sickness on top of that. Not to mention the small but still real possibility that this is something more serious than a cold and hunting would just make your condition worse.”
“It’s nothing,” Jack insisted, holding the cupped hand he’d been coughing into close to his chest. “Just a cold. I’ll just get packed real quick and then we can go.”
“Jack-” Castiel paused when the door slammed in his face. He knocked again but there was no response. He considered leaving it alone and just waiting for Jack to meet him later. After all, Jack was human now and he was still adjusting. It made sense that every now and then he experienced an “off day” that caused him to act slightly out of character. But…there was something bugging him. Jack was his son and he knew him very well; this was way more “off” than would be expected on an “off day”.
So, he did what any reasonable parent would do (according to daytime television anyway) and entered Jack’s room without permission. In hindsight, he probably shouldn’t have done that when Jack was still in there, but then he probably wouldn’t have seen the extent of Jack’s “cold”. Castiel knew of every disease that plagued humanity over the centuries and he knew that there was not a cold or cold-like disease that caused its victims to cough up blood.
“Jack….”
Jack yelped and whirled around, a few stray drops of blood landing on his shirt instead of in the sink. “Cas…I- I can expl-”
“Sit down, Jack.” He pushed his son back onto the mattress and tucked him in. “You’re going to rest now. While you do that, I’m going to alert Sam and Dean of your condition. Hopefully, they’ll have a solution.”
“Okay,” Jack mumbled. He rolled over on his side as another coughing fit wracked his body.
“I’ll get you some water,” Castiel said. “Just rest. We’ll figure this out.”
Jack made a noncommittal sound as Castiel left. Hopefully, this could be sorted out soon. Sam and Dean would know what to do; that much he was sure of.

—- Being God isn’t easy. Sometimes, every now and again, Jack needs help. He asks some of the angels (mostly Castiel) for guidance on matters of heaven. He asks Amara for help in regards to matters of earth. Sometimes he calls upon Death in terms of bending some of the rules of the universe.
But there is one person he has to call upon more often than he would like. Sometimes, souls end up in the wrong place. Horrible people who supposedly pledged their life to God end up in heaven while good people who found their faith in humanity rather than myths ended up in Hell. Jack took it upon himself to correct these wrongs. But that meant going to Hell. It meant working with the Queen. Not even God could tread in Hell without making a deal.
It wasn’t always the same deal. If he wanted to bring a soul to Hell, he just had to sit down for tea or listen to her rambling about a new spell she was trying. Tedious and boring but nothing he couldn’t handle. No, the real problem lied with what she wanted when he was trying to take a soul to Heaven. Then, Rowena’s price was a bit steeper. He hated it, really. But even God had to make sacrifices, especially when he was breaking the rules. And if he wanted to keep breaking these rules, he had to comply with a different set of rules.

Jack knew he wasn’t supposed to be on Earth. He’d promised Sam and Dean he’d be more hands off than his predecessor. But Heaven was boring and Purgatory was scary and all he could do in Hell was have tea with Rowena. He’d considered making alternate universes like Chuck did but he figured that would be a violation of the “Not Being Like Chuck” rule. Not that being on Earth wasn’t too, but people-watching seemed the less harmless option.
Still. Just to be safe, he was far away from Sam and Dean, in a big city they would likely avoid at all costs, and wearing a big hoodie and sunglasses as a disguise. Austin, Texas really was a beautiful city, especially because Chuck had very little to do with it all. There were a lot of people for Jack to admire, from street performers to regular businesspeople to parents to wild teenagers. The city was full of life and Jack was soaking in every last bit of it (not literally this time thankfully).
After a few hours of wandering around, he felt like having some good old fashioned food and drink. By chance, he’d come up to a small bar. It was early in the day yet so there weren’t too many people around. He felt safe enough to take down his hood and glasses before walking inside.

Hi! I didn't see anything about this in the rules but I might've missed something: What are the rules in regards to combining square fill prompts?
Oh, sorry, I will update the rules!
