The Seine
I looked in the River Seine and lost my appetite. I saw your eyes. The blackness reminded me of you And the way you look at me Sad. Emtpy. Infinite...
A very short man.
A very short man can hang himself from a coat hanger using only a piece of thread... Un hombre muy pequeño se puede colgar de un palo de colgar abrigos usando solamente un hilo...
Va va Mama (or The Killer Gentleman)
He was like “Va va voom”! Breaking clocks and time slots with his fingers. A true charmer. She couldn’t contain her mouth. “Well hello there stranger. I like your hat” He smiled like a Unicorn. “Ma’am… You oughta not speak to strangers in such a way. Not while you eat that ice cream cone. It’s a dangerous thing, that is” Ugh! Such a gentleman. “Ha ha! My oh my. Isn’t the weather nice? Isn’t it just a wonderful morning?” He tapped his hat. She saw the flower inside his pocket. “Who is that for?” “A lady.” “YOUR lady?” “I ain’t got no woman. It’s for my dead mother” She felt suddenly so empty. So so very sad at the thought of Va Va Voom having a dead mother. She smiled. “I hope she was a nice one; your momma.” “Yes ma’am. She was like sunshine, like butterflies, like a freaking rainbow mamma was. A freaking puppy sack!” “I bet she was quite the woman.” She batted her eyelashes. He smiled. “Yeh. It was such a shame I had to kill her…” Va Va BANG!
Mermaid Feet.
He looked at me from head to toe, “Your feet look fucking gorgeous in those shoes. If mermaids had feet, that’s what they would look like.” I stopped my steps and smiled. “If mermaids had feet they would cease to be mermaids…” He stared at me, “Good point” - he said, and resumed eating the rest of his cereal…
This is Hell
This is hell.
Where the tv zombies and the coffee aliens dance to a soundless tune
while the machines moan the numbers, over and over and over again.
“This is what you’re worth,” they say. “This is what your life is worth.”
And children push each other in beautiful cruel games.
“Didn’t your mamma teach you to be nice?” The elders ask, but
This is a loss concept to monkeys.
There Is no such thing as civility with no brains.
There is that sound though, zzzzzzz is the static noise that births you.
And drowns the world.
As it all happens…
Your toddler falls from a two inch stair, and you scream like a bitch
He suffers from a grave injury called: weakness.
“My precious child” the baby mamma screams, and then makes goo goo noises. (Is that what love is supposed to look like?!)
And the father comes through the door, the poor bastard
Not knowing that gem isn’t his.
“Who did you fuck?” He can’t ask. But she knows who she fucked
That little neighbor boy with the gift.
He knows what to do, he doesn’t work long hours like her husband.
And he has a crave for older women.
His house is a house of pigs,
“Welcome to the house of pigs, motherfuckers! (he says)
Scratch your lovers in the back, until they orgasm
Drown on the alcohol and the suburban noise,
Feed your lustful deprivations in ragged clothes and drink it all before
Papa sees you. Because it’ll be all gone.”
He is THE tv zombie, THE coffee alien,
“When did you get so depressing, Tommy?” his mother asks
But there’s not time for bullshit.
Only time for rum and cracked eggs in the morning.
He works with those machines.
(The ones that own your soul, you know very well).
“PRICE CHECK!” he has to scream sometimes.
Not knowing he is a daddy.
It doesn’t matter anyway…
He has moths and cockroaches and rats that love him,
Who whisper sweet nothings in his ear
As he OD’s inside the bathtub full of honey.
It is so sweet in a way, so sad in a way.
So, he drifts and he leaves and he disappears,
whispering the echoes of his dead fiancé’s words:
This is hell, sweetheart
This is hell, darling…
THIS
IS
HELL.
Judgment Day of the Dog
He was a sailor with a poet’s soul
Whiskey and weed were his lovers.
He wore hats at night, and regret in the morning
“I am invincible” he said
“I can build dreams and catch them;
The world, all the worlds are my oyster”
But he was wrong.
He built a house.
*Picture the house here…*
The house was in the middle of his living room.
He dressed up in a dog’s suit, and
Like a dog he entered and never came out.
He lay there
Ate there
Died there, with his tongue out.
“That poor sailor” they said.
The flesh eating monster took him by mistake
A very hot day of the year
He was 13.
(And that is a long life…
For a dog).
The Alcoholic Giraffe
Once upon a time there was a giraffe who was very, very,
happy.
-The end-
My Charlie Boy.
Charlie boy, where are you going?
It’s a dark place by her side
Your mom is crying waiting for an answer
Your daddy waits in the fire by the bed
Sister prays to the virgin in the sky
Brother sleeps with a knife under his bed
Lover sighs into a window by the door
Holding the gun you bought, last summer
To end it all…
Charlie boy, where are you going?
It’s a dark place by her side…
