Okay I did some digging for a potential plot for season 2 of Blue Eye Samurai and I think I have an idea on what they have in store for us:
1) We know S2 will take place during the late 1650s to 1660.
2) We know Mizu and Fowler are taking a boat to London.
3) After some digging, I found out that not only does the Golden Age of piracy Start a few years before the season 1 finale (1650) but one of the most famous and ruthless pirates in all of history was around during this time: François LâOlonnais.
Conclusion: S2 will likely involve Mizu finding out Skeffington or Routely are in the Caribbean and they work out a deal with LâOlonnais to find/kill Skeffington and Routely thus bringing Mizuâs quest for vengeance to a close.
Side Note: This is just a main plot summary not the full season so thereâs probably gonna be stuff I missed
FINALLY NETFLIX MAKES AN ANIMATED PROJECT THAT DOESNâT SUCK!!!!

I have really high hopes that Netflix goes through with a second season cause this and Scott pilgrim restored my faith in them.

Hey guys, I know I haven't been posting for a while. I've been busy with other stuff. So I have good news and bad news:
Good News:
I'm going to try to keep up a weekly post update at minimum due to my long absence from my blog
Bad News:
Due to writing it for so long, I've decided to take a break from my TLOU 3 Fanwrite. As much as I like the project I wanna branch out to other creative mediums for future endeavors. In other words I got burnt out. But If I feel up to it I'll continue posting more TLOU content.

Chapter 30: Three Years LaterâŠ
Three years have passed since Deaconâs attack on the FO Stadium in Denver. Jackson is thriving and starting to expand its safe zones. Ellie and Dina help run a coffee business called âBean Around the Worldâ, Lev leads a scavenging and hunting group to help gather supplies, and Abby helps out with clearing infected zones and the occasional vet job once in a while. As for Deacon, he helps Tommy with his gun depot business he set up a couple years prior and also helps Maria with managing political issues in Jackson.
But today was different, today (due to a TON of bribery done on Deaconâs part) Deacon managed to set up a massive festival in honor of Jacksonâs 41st anniversary. As well as mourn the lost friends and family along the way.
Much to Deaconâs surprise, Maria had told him that the Council had wanted to have the event at the old ski lodge near the outer territories of Jackson. Deacon didnât like the idea, due to the open area and lack of easy getaway routes, but figured that with a decent sized patrol and guard that it would be fine.
âYO D!! Abby needs your help clearing out the ski lodge for the festivities tonight!â Lev yells from the lobby of Tommyâs gun store. Deacon puts down the rifle he was cleaning and heads down to talk. Deacon noticed that Lev had grown like a bean pod- tall and skinny to be precise- but was fairly well fit due to both his scavenging job, and Abbyâs workout regiment (which in all honesty was just splitting and cutting trees for timber but Deacon didnât think it was smart to judge).Â
âSorry about that, Iâve just been busy. How bad is it at the lodge?â Deacon asks. Lev crosses his arms and shakes his head âNot great, thereâs a good sized herd of Infected near the lodge, and to top it off; weâre supposed to be getting a horde migration sometime soonâ Lev says with a sigh.
Deacon scratched his head, he and Abby had talked about how to deal with the giant, fungal-infested, man eating elephant in their backyard. âAbby and Maria are at the Council House talking it over, trying to see if itâs worth the work we gotta put in to clear it outâ Lev adds, arms still crossed.
âIâll head over there, maybe ask some of the new recruits if they can help clear out the infected already there. Iâll talk it over with Abby and Mariaâ Deacon says as he pats Lev on the shoulder and heads out to the Council House.
God I hope this goes well
Chapter 31: Politics And Such & Such
The Council House was fairly large, due to it being an old Bank building before the Outbreak. Deacon never liked it though. The weird smell, the tacky decor, even the Council was dull. But, as Thatch always used to tell D, âCanât clean a barn if you canât handle the smell of shitâ. Deacon stops for a second on his way inside, still torn up about his fatherâs death when they came back from Denver.
Supposedly, Thatch had a stroke due to the high caliber medications he was taking and his body couldnât handle the side-effects. But even though heâs gone, Thatch can swear he hears his voice whispering in his ear, guiding and teaching him from beyond the grave. Either that, or heâs finally lost it and should go see a therapist.
Regardless, he had a job to do, and going down memory lane wasnât gonna help fix society.Â
Meanwhile, Ellie sits on the front porch of her and Dinaâs house in Jackson. It was a nice little spot in the more forested area of the town, but still close enough to walk to the town square. She liked it, a balance between people and nature. Suddenly, JJ sneaks up and covers her face while she plays her old guitar âHAHA NOW YOUâRE BLINDâ he says triumphantly, like a little supervillain. âOh nooooooo, tina haaaaaaands, my weaknessâ Ellie says, both weakly and sarcastically as she pretends to faint from the childâs tiny grasp before scooping him up.Â
âHey! No Fair!â JJ says as he struggles against his stepmom
âAllâs fair in love and war little man, besides, you suck at stealthâ Ellie says pridefully
âNuh-uh!â JJ retorts with a harumph
Ellie laughs as she puts down the little 4 year old as she looks back to her painting she was working on. The piece, although unfinished, was by far the best she had done since painting JJâs room a year ago. She grabs the canvas and sets it in her studio as she and JJ walk to the cafe to see Dina. As they walk, JJ decides to break the silence.
âHey Ellie, how many Infected have you killed?âÂ
âToo many to count little manâ
âWhat about people?â
âA little less than that, but still a lotâ

Chapter 28: A Forgotten Fury
Samson sat in his room, looking at the portrait of his father as he took a heaping gulp of vodka down his throat. âDad⊠Wherever the fuck you are⊠Could you give me a sign?â he whispers to himself, hoping the painting would spring to life and give him his much needed wisdom, but nothing happens.
Suddenly, Pito enters his room, panting repeatedly like a rabid dog. âSamson⊠Shiva and Gunji were attacked⊠the slaves escaped⊠they-â he says panting before Sam turns around âWhereâs Shiva?â he says, a bit of worry in his voice. Pito shakes his head before getting pushed out of the way by Samson.
No no no no no no Sam mutters in his head as he rushes to the infirmary. He kicks in the door and almost falls at the sight of his comrades.
Gunji had two stab wounds in his stomach, and another on his left cheek.
Then he looked at his beloved Shiva and felt his stomach drop to his feet. âSheâs alive but she has sustained major physical trauma and wonât recover for a long timeâ a medic says as she looks at the War Queen in pity.
Samson sits next to his wife, caressing her bandaged head before softly crying into his handâŠ
Back in Jackson, Ellie struggles to play her guitar with her prosthetic fingers she got from Dina. She was making progress, sort of. She looks out from Dinaâs porch and sees Abby walk up onto the porch âFor a chick with two missing fingers, youâre not half badâ she says as she holds up a bottle of booze and sits down. âDid any of the wolves play any instruments? Or were you all too strict and rugged for such pompous pleasantriesâ Ellie asks jokingly as she takes a swig of the brew, and wincing at the taste of it. Abby laughs and grabs the bottle from her âNow that you mention it, a friend of mine used to. Mannyâ she says, looking at the bottle. âWhatever happened to him anyhow? I never ran into himâ Ellie says as she puts the guitar down. Abby looks out into the dark streets of Jackson and lets out a sigh âHe got his head blown off trying to help me get Tommyâ she says as she lifts up her glass. âGodspeed you son of a bitchâ Abby toasts before taking a swig and leaning back in the chair.
âI better get inside, Dina says Iâm on baby duty tonightâ Ellie says as she gets up. Abby lets out a chuckle âFrom gutting Seraphites to changing diapers, oh how modernity changes usâ she says jokingly. Ellie lets out a soft laugh before heading inside, âWait a minute Ellieâ Abby says before she shuts the door
âYeah, what is it?â Ellie asks
Chapter 29: Making Peace for the Better
Abby freezes up for a minute before clearing her throat. âWhy did you spare me back in Santa Barbara? I was right there, you couldâve gotten your vengeance⊠but you backed outâ she says, scratching the back of her head nervously. Ellie lets out a sigh before walking back out and shutting the door âBefore I spared you, I saw Joel. The night before he diedâ she begins as she and Abby sit down. âHe wasnât angry or mad, just⊠happy. Iâll admit Joel has done some stupid shit but killing your dad was probably the stupidest thing he ever did. I guess he kinda knew it was his time.â Ellie says as she looks out at the night sky.
Abby stares at the stars âDo you think those FO fuckers will come back? After everything we did?â she says worryingly. Ellie sits in silence before getting up âTheyâll have to get through us to get to our peopleâ she says as she looks at Abby and holds out her hand.
Abby is a little confused, but Ellie elaborates âNeither of us were right for what we did, but we can try to make up for it. Try to be better for those we care aboutâ she says âSo howâs about it Anderson? Are we even?â.
Abby lets out a snicker before shaking Ellieâs hand, âSweet dreams Williams, tell Dina I said hiâ.
Ellie laughs a little before giving Abby a thumbs up and shutting the door. Abby walks off into the night and heads home where Deacon and Lev are staying. Both were watching an old comedy movie from before the Outbreak, something about laser sword rings and a floating RV. The other two offer her to join them but Abby refuses, instead heading upstairs to get some much needed rest.
Deacon shrugs off Abby's refusal to join them in movie night and lets Deacon shrugs off Abby's refusal to join them in movie night and lets out a sigh. "What's up with you? You seem... oddly relaxed given everything that happened back in Colorado. Are you sure you're okay?" Lev asks as he eats a handful of popcorn. Deacon looks at him for a moment before letting out a snicker "It's nothing, just figured Abby would wanna hang out with us is all. Oh well, her loss I guess" he says, dismissing Lev's concern. Lev gives him a look of uncertainty before giving it a rest "If you need anyone to talk to about it, me and Abby are more than happy to hear you out D" He says as he gets up to leave. Deacon looks up at him "You too huh? Guess Sci-Fi Comedies are an acquired taste these days" he says as he turns off the tv and goes to bed "Goodnight Lev". Lev looks back at his friend and gives him a smile "Goodnight D, See you tomorrow".
Deacon looks at him for a moment before letting out a snicker "It's nothing, just figured Abby would wanna hang out with us is all. Oh well, her loss I guess" he says, dismissing Lev's concern.

Lev looks back at his friend and gives him a smile "Goodnight D, See you tomarrow".

Chapter 24: âŠLook For the Light
Lev wakes up after being knocked out during the ambush at the bus. He looks around the room heâs in to get a better layout of the situation. The room was dimly lit, but tidy. It had a heavy smell of cigarette smoke and candle wax. Eventually a door behind her swings open, and the voice of his captor is revealed.
âHello little one⊠Enjoying yourself?â Gunji says as he sits down in the seat across from him. Lev tries to get out of the chair but canât move his hands. He then looks down and sees theyâre bound to the chair heâs sitting in.
âMy friends are gonna find me. And when they do, Iâll gut you like the bloated pig you areâ Lev snaps. Gunji lets out a deep chuckle and gets up from his seat. His steps echoing throughout the room like thunder âIâd like to see you try. BOYS!â the warlord says as his guards enter the room âTake him to the arena, lets see what the little brat can doâ he says maliciously as the two goons grab Lev and take him away.Â
âLET ME GO!!! IâLL GUT YOU!!! YOUâRE ALL GOING TO BURN!!! YOUâRE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!â Lev yells, kicking and screaming to get the guards off of him before they knock him out again.
Meanwhile, Deacon and the others are sneaking around the sewers to reach the stadium without raising suspicion. âAlright, we should be just outside the stadium. Abby, Ellie, Butch and Mitch will be in charge of rescuing Lev. While Me, Dina and Specks plant the explosives. Any objections?â Deacon says as they reach a sewer grate. âAs long as weâre out of this sewerâ Abby says in disgust. The groups climbs up the ladder and split up. Deaconâs group heads towards the lower levels and Abbyâs group heads towards the upper floors and roof to find Lev.
Inside the stadium, Lev wakes up in a cell, handcuffed to a metal pole in the back of the room. He can hear the other prisoners, groaning lifelessly. âWelcome to the Barracks kidâ a frail looking woman says next to Lev. âBarracks? What are you-â Lev tries to say before the woman cuts him off âQuiet, guards are comingâ she says as the thundering steps of combat boots echo through the halls. âAlright shitbags, Lord Gunji wants to have one last big show before we pack up and head to Hoovertown so try to make tonight's show a little⊠enthusingâ a guard says as he laughs before a series of gunshots echo through the stadium.
âWhat the- Hey what the hellâs going on out there?â the guard asks over a walkie talkie. The voice on the other hand whimpers in pain before a familiar voice echoes through which puts a smile on Levâs face âHey there assholes, Iâm backâ Deacon says on the other end.
Chapter 25: Intruders
Deacon drops the walkie on the ground before cushing it under his boot. âAlright guys, letâs go raid that armoryâ he says to Dina and Specks, who both give him a nod as they run through the stadium corridors while alarms blare through the speakers.
âATTENTION FORGOTTEN BRETHREN!!! IT APPEARS THAT OUR TRAITOROUS FALSE BROTHER- DEACON THOMAS- HAS THREATENED OUR HAPPY HOME! SO DO LORD GUNJI AN HONORABLE SERVICE AND KILL THIS RAT FACED BASTARD!!!â DD yells through the PA system.
Deaconâs group eventually find the armory and grab a few duffle bags from carrying the bombs to carry their- as Deacon would say- ânewly foundâ weapons. âIsnât this a little wrong Deacon, I mean, wonât they need these to protect themselves against the infected or other groups they might come acrossâ Specks asks as he puts a few handguns in his bag. Deacon opens his mouth to answer the question before Dina speaks up âMaybe they shouldâve thought of that before kidnapping Levâ she says flatly, giving Deacon a âhow did I do boss?â type of look.
But before Deacon can get a word out he stops and hears an ear piercing screech of metal on metal âOh shit, itâs worse than I thought, they're gonna make him compete in the tournamentâ he says worryingly. âTournament? What tournament Deacon?â Specks asks before he receives his cruel answer.
âLADIES AND GENTLE TURDS WE HAVE DECIDED TO PERSUADE OUR LITTLE INTRUDERS BY HAVING THEIR LITTLE FRIEND COMPETE IN OUR AGE OLD TRADITION: THE FUNGAL FIRE PIT!! NOW WITH CLICKERS!!â DD says, almost advertising the ungodly pit of fire and fungus in the center of the stadium.
Abby and her team look down and see Lev, along with a few other prisoners, run out of the pit. âLEV!â Abby yells before getting shot at. âAbby! We need to wait for Deaconâs signal before we head down there!â Mitch says before getting a bullet through his skull, causing Butch to charge at the goons in a blood rage. Abby and Ellie meanwhile head down to save Lev from Gunji and DD before he gets turned into an infected chum pile.
Deaconâs group meanwhile, reaches the Gas Room for the arena. âFinally, let's hurry up and get these bombs planted before-â Deacon says before a shadow darts out of the room and elbow shoves him into a pipe on the right side of the room.
âHello Deacon, miss me?â the voice says before revealing themself Â
Chapter 26: Shiva and Gunji
âShiva, long time no see, howâs your asshole for a husband doing?â Deacon says as he tries to get up, wincing in pain. Shiva laughs before Dina grabs a pipe and smacks her in the face and stomach âSHOVE THIS BITCHâ she yells as Shiva hits the floor before grabbing the pipe and kicking Dina in the ribs. Specks looks around before darting into the maze of pipes and valves âAww heâs scared, shame, the scrawny ones scream the loudestâ Shiva says as she picks up Dina by her shirt collar.
âNow, back to our previous discussion, heâs doing quite well. In fact, I enjoyed beating his face in with that crowbar before your shitty uncle got in the way, shame what happened to him. Saved his brother for sure, but in the end he couldnât save himselfâ Shiva says tauntingly.Â
Deacon gets up and cracks his neck âOh ho ho ho, youâre so fucking dead bitchâ he says as he bull rushes her with a wrench. Shiva drops Dina and tries to swing but Dina hits her in the liver with her knee and runs to the pipes after Specks while Deacon continues fighting with Shiva.
Back in the Fungal Fire Pit, Ellie and Abby bust through the gate entrance and help Lev and the other prisoners. They push the infected back before a deep, guttural horn sound echoes through the stadium. âMY TURN BITCHESâ Gunji says as he jumps down into the pit, his club and mini riot shield in hand. Abby charges at him before getting hit in the stomach by the club, but Ellie side-steps next to Gunji and stabs him in the stomach, the fat warlord groaning in pain before laughing a deep, sinister laugh.
âNice blade bitch, but itâll take more than that to stop meâ Gunji says with a laugh before Lev jumps onto his back and starts punching him in the face, screaming as loud as he can before taking a knife and stabbing Gunji in the cheek. âAH YOU LITTLE SHIT, MY FUCKING CHEEKâ he says as he throws Lev off his back before pulling the blade out of his cheek, blood gushing out of his mouth as he screams in pain.
He glares daggers at Lev and Ellie before Abby runs up behind him and impales him through the stomach with a spear. âYou shouldâve gone for the head you fat fuckâ she says before yanking the spear out of Gunjiâs stomach as he falls to the ground, blood leaking out onto the arena floor.
Lev runs up and hugs Abby, who tosses the spear and returns the hug âHey, you okay Lev, did they hurt you?â Abby asks worryingly. Lev laughs a little, âNo, no, Iâm okayâ Lev responds before Ellie steps in âHey, sorry to interrupt the reunion but we gotta go before this place gets turned to rubbleâ she says. Abby and Lev nod in agreement as the three of them head out to find Deaconâs group and leave.
Chapter 27: A Warriorâs Rage
Shiva and Deacon continue to fight, running and dodging each other through the maze of gas pipes and dead ends. But eventually Shiva pins Deacon against the wall and takes a pipe to his leg, causing him to scream in anguish. âOh Sammyâs gonna enjoy tearing you apart boy, just like he did to that whore you loved so much, I forgot her name⊠Molly, Angelina, Irene?â Shiva taunts before Deacon screams and sinks his teeth into her ear and tears it clean off, spitting it in a barrel of gasoline. âHer name⊠was Mileena⊠you bitchâ he pants, spitting out blood before taking his wrench and clubbing Shiva in the skull.
But he keeps going. Over, and over, and over again. Before Dina grabs his hand and stops him âDeacon stopâ she says. Deacon snaps out of it long enough to see the damage he had caused. Shivaâs face was unrecognizable, it was nothing more than a mound of beaten flesh and broken bone coated in human blood, which had covered Deacon from head to stomach.
âGuys! We found Lev, lets get the fuck outta- woahâ Abby says as she barges through the door. Ellie looks over her shoulder and freezes up, before hurling her lunch at the sight of Shiva's lifeless body.
The group eventually leave and give the prisoners from the arena an old prison bus that the FOâs used for supply runs to thank them for helping clear out the base before the stadium erupts with fiery explosions which echo through the city of Denver like thunder.
The drive to Jackson was quiet. No one talked, the only noises being the sound of the shower, the radio, and the road itself. As well as the occasional infection that might've run into the road.
Deacon meanwhile, lies in his room, unable to sleep from what he had done.Â
Did I go too far?
Did I cross a line?
No. I did what I had to.
But did I go too far?
Whatâll happen now?
What about the others?
Questions riddled his mind before he drifted into unconsciousness.

Chapter 21: Gunjiâs Stadium Spectacle
Gunji looked to his soldiers, chanting and cheering as he entered the arena. âLADIES AND GENTLE TURDS! IT IS MY GREAT HONOR TO WELCOME OUR WARLORD SAINT TO OUR GLORIOUS ARENA TO JOIN US IN TONIGHT'S ENTERTAINMENT!!â The announcer roared as the crowd erupts in joy. Gunji knew that the announcer had spunk, but this was a whole different animal. Guess the people donât call you âThe Decibel Dominatorâ for nothing.
âIN THIS CORNER WEIGHING IN AT 250 POUNDS OF PURE FORGOTTEN MUSCLE⊠OUR WAR QUEEN: SHIVA!!!â DD roars as Shiva exits her spot in the arena pumping her fist in the air to rile up the crowd.
âAND IN THIS CORNER, WEIGHING IN AT 300 POUNDS OF FUNGAL PLATING! OUR INFECTED CHAMPION: BIBSY THE BLOATER!!!!â DD adds, fueling the crowd further before ringing the bell and starting the match.
DD walks up from the announcer booth and joins Gunji in the festivities. âHow is the search for Deacon and his father coming along my lord?â he asks the warlord who drinks some mead and grumbles to himself. âThatch the Bastard shook us off near the Rockies and hasnât been seen since.â Gunji says as he sets his drink next to his newest bride.
âRumor has it, they may have headed South towards Texas to cross into Mexico. Not that theyâd last long there anyhowâ DD says as he fiddles his thumbs. Gunji laughs before grabbing his wifeâs waist and caressing her hair. âMmmm, as much as I love killing traitorous bastards like Deacon and his asshole father. A pretty lady like Ismelda here is the next best thingâ he says before letting the girl go.
âYah know boss, I also heard that Deaconâs riding with a new lady friend, sheâd be a nice addition to your⊠collectionâ DD says with a snicker, an evil smirk growing across his painted face. âDD, you will always be my favorite soldier, how about you and some of my boys head to the Northern Border of the city. Do a little recon and all. Help take the edge offâ Gunji says as he pats DDâs shoulder and smiles.
DD and the warlord laugh as Shiva roars in the arena below and the referee sounds off the finisher bell, signaling the end of the match.
âWell, I gotta get back to my booth, but Iâll fit it into my schedule tomorrow bossâ DD says as he gets up to leave.âOf course DD, see you thenâ Gunji says before lighting up a cigar and blowing out a cloud of gray smoke, which fills the room and causes his guards to cough.
Chapter 22: Bomb Ala Ambush
As Deacon and Ellies group cross into the Colorado wilderness, Specks enters the âliving roomâ of the bus with a box of explosives. âFinally, it only took about 4 hours but Iâve got the bulk of our demolition supplies made and readyâ he sputters as he sets the crate on the end table with a grunt.
Abby and Ellie look at the box, the bombs looked legit but they couldnât guarantee that theyâd work. âSo youâre our demolition expert? No offense Specks but youâre not really⊠uhâŠâ Abby says, trying not to offend the small nerdy kid before Ellie interrupts. âIgnore her, the bombs are fine Specks, why donât you take a breather and have something to eat before we reach Denverâ she says as sets the box of explosives underneath the table. Specks gives them both a nod and heads to the back of the bus where the beds were located.
âListen here Abby, I donât know how your people did things before you split off from them. But where Iâm from, we donât judge people based on appearances. We judge them by their actions.â Ellie says as she follows Specks to the back of the bus and lays down with Dina in their bunk.
Abby lets out a sigh before joining Deacon at the front of the bus. Deacon, who took the liberty of shaving the rats' nest he called a beard down to a more dignified stubble, was listening to a cassette playlist labeled D & Tâs Road Trip Tunes. âAnything good?â Abby asks as she sits down next to Deacon. Deacon looks at Abby and chuckles âNothing I havenât heard before, Lev seems to like some of the less screamo music. Maybe Iâll find some blank CDâs I can-â Deacon says before an arrow flies through the air and hits his shoulder, causing him to scream in pain âGOD DAMMIT SONOFABITCH!!â he curses out as the bus swerves to a stop and the road is surrounded by smoke. âShit! Itâs an ambush! Everyone get down!â Abby yells as gunfire erupts from the nearby forest before it suddenly stops.
Deacon winces in pain as he pulls the arrow out of his arm âShit, Gunji mustâve sent scouts out his way to find my dad. Stay low and stay quietâ Deacon whispers as he grabs his rifle underneath his seat and leans against one of the booths.Â
âLADIES AND GENTLE TURDS!! HUNTING SEASON IS OFFICIALLY OPEN AND LORD GUNJI NEEDS SOME NEW SLAVES!!! FIRST CATCH GETS A FREE SET OF WHEELS!!!â a strange voice echoes through the smoke.
âAh shit its DDâ Deacon says under his breath, hitting his head against the booth.
âUhh who?â Lev says from the bunks before a bunch of voices echo around the bus.
Chapter 23: When you're lost in the darknessâŠ
Deacon wraps his shoulder and tosses a molotov out an open window of the bus before unloading a whole magazine of ammo into the smoke before ducking back down to avoid being shot. âSpecks how quickly can you get us some pipe bombsâ Abby says as she crawls over to the nerdy chemist, whoâs cowering in the bunk room. âUh-uh a few minutes, why?â he asks. Abby gives him a smirk âThey wanna smoke us out, let's blow em outâ she says as she cocks her shotgun and shoots a goon who tried to climb in through the back door.
âAlright, just get me to the kitchen part of the bus, and youâll get yourself a set of bombsâ Specks says as he takes a breath. Meanwhile; Ellie, Dina, and Deacon are taking out FOâs left and right. Trying to clear out the bus so they can escape.
Deacon looks out to the right of the bus and sees an old house with a FO goon with a machine gun turret mounted at a window. âEllie! On your right! Turret on the second floor window!â he yells as Ellie shoots the bastard before he can gun down the bus. âHow many more are there?!?â Dina asks loudly as she hands Deacon his rifle back after reloading it. âDDâs gotta be close! Fucker has a real hard on for adrenaline rushes and that type of shit!â Deacon yells before hearing Lev yell from the back.
âLEV!!!â Abby yells before ducking back to avoid getting shot âYOU FUCKERS!!! IâLL FUCKING KILL YOUâ she roars before unloading a whole rifle magazine into the smoke but it was too lateâŠ
Lev was gone.
âTHANKS FOR THE SACRIFICE SUCKAS!!!!â DD yells through a megaphone before he and his goons drive off towards the stadium.
As the smoke clears Abby collapses onto the ground and starts to cry. She let Lev down, and now she was gone. âLev⊠Iâm sorryâŠâ she says before Deacon comes up from behind her and places a hand on her shoulder.
Abby looks up. She expected Deacon to give her a pep talk or some kind of speech, but he was dead silent. In fact, the only thing on Deacon's face was a look of pure rage.
âAbby. Donât cry. Donât give these fuckers the satisfaction of your tears. Because I promise youâŠâ Deacon says as he looks down at her.
âThat if a single hair on that boyâs head is harmed I will wreak havoc upon those bastardsâ he says as he helps her up.

Chapter 18: Making Deals With Rats
Sam sits in his room, looking out at the vast empty Nevada desert that spreads across the horizon. He notices a group of scavengers enter the compound with a truck load of supplies with them. âHmmm, not bad, not bad at allâ he says to himself as he walks down the group. Their leader, a man nicknamed Packrat by the other FOâs. He was large, fat, and reeked of booze and womenâs fragrance. âAh Sammy! My young friend, how are you doing on this fine dayâ Packrat says as he pulls out a massive bottle of alcohol âHow about a drink? Best booze this side of the desertâ he says, handing the bottle to Sam.
âBusiness first Packrat, then pleasantriesâ Sam says flatly. He and Packrat head to the throne room. Which in reality was an old cafeteria that the FOâs had converged into a throne room for Samâs father in the darker days of the outbreak. âNow, what brings you to Hoover? And remember Gunji, Iâm not someone who likes to waste timeâ Sam says sharply as he sits atop his throne. Gunji stutters for a moment before collecting himself âKing Samson, weâve come to offer our services to help catch the traitorous acolytes called Thatch and Deaconâ the fat leader says as his men wheel in a cart filled with crates. Gunji waves his hand and the goons open the boxes, revealing a variety of rifles, shotguns, and crossbows. âYou supply us with transport, and weâll not only take care of your fallen comrades, but split the weapon haul 50/50â he says as he dismisses the goons.
Sam couldnât deny the haul, and Gunjiâs scavengers were very impressive trackers, but he let out a sigh. â60/40, 60 for us, 40 for you. After all, weâre giving you transport and a location, we gotta balance the haul somehow. Plus food, gas, and etc.â he says with a grin, hoping to sweeten the fat scavengerâs favor. Gunji gives him a glare before Sam lets out another sigh âIâll throw in some hookerâs if you get them both back aliveâ Sam says. Luckily, Sam knew that Gunji was a huge pervert and almost chuckled as the fat bastardâs flat face lit up with greed and lust âYou got yourself a deal your Majestyâ he says as he gives Sam a light bow as he walks out to greet his troops.
Back in Jackson, Deacon sits with Maria, Abby, Ellie, Dina, and Lev as he gives them photos of some of the FOâs allies. âFirst off we got Gunji Yamakaji, leader of the Yamakaji Clan which occupies Reno and Carson City, a tank of a man who wields a big ass studded bat and drives in a modified plow truck. Heâs got a huge tattoo on his arm and has a pair of earlobe earringsâ he says as he tosses a picture of Gunji onto the table. âNext we got Kiara, an expert hunter and tracker who leads a cult of survivors who live near Southern Californiaâ he says tossing a photo of Kiara on the table next to Gunjiâs. âNext is Pito, a relatively small fella whoâs the head of Samâs scouting and info gathering regiment. Not a fighter, but an expert at stealth and trapsâ he says as he tosses the photo. âAfter him we got Shiva, Samsonâs wife and Queen of the Forgotten Ones. A tall and muscular woman who could fight a Bloater in a boxing match and winâ he says as he tosses her picture atop the pile âand lastly, the leader of this whole groupâŠ.â
Chapter 19: Samson, King of the Forgotten Ones
âKing Samson, leader of the Forgotten Ones and the most dangerous one of them all. He was trained in hand to hand combat by FEDRA officers when he and I went to an academy at the Toledo QZ during the early years of the outbreakâ he says holding up the photo âHeâs got all the skills of the other four heads of their alliance put together and then some. Heâs strong, fast, clever, and terrifyingly deadlyâ Deacon says as he tosses the photo. âWe could probably take âem on here right?â Lev says as he looks over some of the photos. âNot a chance. Gunji or Shivaâs troops alone could wipe out Jackson in a day or two. We need a smarter approachâ Deacon explains as he sits down.
The group look at each other before Ellie speaks up âWell, whereâs their main base? Theyâve gotta have some kinda HQ where they all stay at. If we take that out, maybe thatâll level the playing fieldâ She says, crossing her arms. Deacon shakes his head âHoovertown is too secure, and they have multiple outposts all throughout the American Southwest. From Southern California to Texas, they control all trade and power in those states. Storming Hoovertown would practically be a death sentenceâ. Abby looks down and examines the maps âWhat if we just take down the settlements? Steal their supplies, raid their camps, and run back to Jackson before they suspect anything?â Abby asks Deacon.Â
Deacon scratches his chin âThat would work. Killing two birds with one stone. We get our supplies and cripple Samsonâs troopsâ he says as he gets up and labels several cities across the American Southwest States. âAlright. Gunji is likely stationed here, in the Empower Field at Mile High stadium in Denver '' he says as he circles the capital city. âHeâll be our first target. Steal the supplies, blow up the stadium, and if we have to⊠kill Gunjiâ he says as he backs away from the table.
Ellie looks at Maria who shakes her head âI canât give you any of Jacksonâs citizens for this endeavor. But I can talk to Tommy and his people to make sure you have whatever you might need for this job. And Deacon, Abby, and LevâŠâ Maria says, looking at the trio. âDonât make me bury anyone else unless there's no other choice. Jacksonâs people have seen enough funerals.â she says, glaring daggers at Abby and possibly Lev, who both give her a nod.
âAlright, In light of Mariaâs request, itâll just be me, Abby, Lev, Ellie, and anyone else who wants to volunteerâ Deacon says as he crosses his arms âAny questions or objections?â. Dina sticks up her hand âHow do we know they canât find Jackson?â she says, hoping her suspicion is just suspicion. Deacon walks over and puts his hand on her shoulder âDina, you have my word, as long as Jacksonâs people are behind these walls, Samson and his people wouldnât dare attack us firstâ he says reassuringly. Dina gives him a nod before Maria dismisses everyone.
Chapter 20: Nightmares And Breakfast
 Hey cowboyâŠ
You gotta wake upâŠ
And finish what you startedâŠ
Fulfill your promiseâŠ
No Tears⊠No FuneralsâŠ
Deacon wakes up in his bed, covered in sweat. His head ringing from a headache âDamn nightmaresâ he grumbles under his breath as he gets dressed. As he walks down he sees Abby and Lev eating breakfast, both are fully ready to head out. âMorning guys, whatcha both eating?â he asks as he makes some coffee and grabs a thermos. Lev looks up, his cheeks so full he looks like a chipmunk, âHomemade Pop-Tartsâ he says, his mouth still full of food before he swallows his breakfast.Â
âNice, Ellie and Dina all set?â Deacon asks Abby as he twists the lid of the thermos on. Abby chuckles as she puts some food in her bag âYeah, Tommy told me heâll be babysitting JJ while weâre out. Surprised Dina is actually coming withâ she said solemnly. Deacon tilts his head in confusion before Lev speaks up âWe kinda beat the shit out of her and Ellie a while ago⊠We hope theyâre not mad or anythingâ he says as he gets up and puts away his dishes.
Deacon looks down and nods âI understand. If anything happens just lemme know alright. BOTH of youâ he says looking at Abby.
âOh shut up you dorkâ she says with a laugh.
The three eventually get ready and head to the stables. Ellie, Dina, and a few other Jackson citizens are waiting for them. âIs this everyone?â Deacon asks Ellie as they enter the stables. âEveryone we can spareâ Ellie says as the newcomers walk up behind her âThis is Mitch, Specks, and Butchâ she says, introducing the newest members of their apocalyptic crusade. Mitch was a slim guy, about Ellie's age, who had a pair of revolvers at his hips and a rifle on his back. Specks was the shortest of the group, wearing a pair of welding goggles on his forehead. He looked like he was about Levâs age, or a bit older, and he reeked of engine oil and soldering iron. Butch meanwhile was the opposite of Specks. He was tall, muscular, and had a pair of hatchets at his hips. Deacon shakes all their hands and moves on to the bus where Dina is waiting for them. They all board and head to Colorado, ready to tear the EFMH Stadium to pieces.

Chapter 16: Legless Thatch
Deacon sits outside the infirmary, tapping his foot rapidly in impatience, as he waits for the medics to finish checking on his dad. Abby sits down next to him, holding a glass of water âHeâll be fine, worst case scenario he might lose a leg from that arrow woundâ she says, trying to cheer him up. Deacon only grunts as he gets up before Jane, Jacksonâs resident Doctor, comes in. âMr. Deacon, a word pleaseâ she says, a look of solemnness on her face. âHow is he doc? Will he live?â Deacon asks. Jane only nods before handing him his fatherâs X-rays. âMost of the wounds can be healed with time, except the one on his left calf. In order to ensure his survival, weâll need to amputate his legâ she says.
Abby gets up and takes a look at the X-rays herself âJust the lower half of it right?â she asks, pointing to the hole in Thatchâs leg. Jane nods âHeâs still unconscious, but weâll need a few things from the supply den so he wonât be in pain during the surgeryâ she says as she writes something down on a notepad âMorphine would be ideal, but Fentanyl works toâ she says, handing the list to Abby.
âGot it, morphine and/or Fentanyl, Iâll be right back.â Abby says as she walks out. Deacon walks up to his father, who's sitting in an old wooden bed while hooked up to a bunch of machinery, âHey shitass, how do I look?â Thatch says faintly. Deacon chuckles before sitting down next to him âYou look like you got shat out by a Bloater and re-eaten by a dogâ he says with a smirk. âAbbyâs gonna go out and get some medsâ he adds, as he grabs an old book off the shelf. âDumbasses Guide To Surviving the Apocalypse. Ironic huh?â he says holding up the book to his dad. Thatch laughs weakly before coughing from overexerting himself âYeahâŠ. Ran into Sam by the wayâ he says as he clears his throat.
Deacon's look of happiness is instantly changed to a look of concern, and slightly anger. âDid he follow you?â he asks, putting down the book and getting up. âNot a chance, at best theyâre probably still squatting at the Hoover Dam in Nevadaâ Thatch says with a scoff. Deacon gives him a stare before looking his father dead in the eyes âThere are families here dad, elderly folk, theyâve got nothing to do with what we didâ Deacon says as he starts to walk out.
âDeacon waitâ Thatch says, stopping the young man in his tracks as he holds the door knob in his hand. Deacon turns around to face his father, who gives him a look of either hope or advice âIf you gotta do what I hope youâre gonna do⊠donât fuck upâ he says. Deacon gives him a nod as he opens the door and walks out âstay in bed, or Iâll cuff you to the radiatorâ he says, getting a good laugh out of Thatch, which is again followed by more coughing.
Deacon exits the infirmary and looks out towards Jackson, thinking about all the people he might bring into this feud between him and his father, as well as Sam and his army âAlright D, time to get to workâ he says as he heads to the armory.
Chapter 17: Revenge is a Foolâs Game
Deacon walks into the armory and is surprised to see Tommy cleaning some of the old guns. âYou must be Tommyâ he says as he shuts the door behind him. Tommy looks up and chuckles âYeah, donât do much shooting anymore after that Abby chick blasted this hole in my headâ Tommy says as he points to the milky white eye as he continues cleaning the rifle in his lap âSo what can I do for you?â. Deacon pulls out an old US states map and sets it on the table âIâm gonna need a rifle, a shotgun, some pistols, and whatever throwable explosives you got. Ammo too of courseâ he says as he sits down in front of Tommy. The old man looks down at the map and sees a small area in Nevada circled in red âNow now, hang on kid. Iâm not supplying some revenge quest. This place has seen enough of that shitâ Tommy says. Deacon lets out a sigh âThey kidnapped my father, beat the shit out of him, and torched my home. Theyâre asking for an asskicking Tommyâ he says, prying the older man.Â
Tommy shakes his head and sets the rifle on a chair to his right âTake it from someone whoâs been down that road kid, itâs not one you gotta trek. Me and Ellie did the same thing with Abby and her people and it almost got us both killedâ Tommy says, almost in a whisper. Deacon scoffs but Tommy just lets out a sigh âListen, Maria and her people donât need any outside problems on our doorstep. Not that I donât understand where youâre coming from, believe me Iâd be all for it. But your father is still alive, it aint worth wasting your life on a revenge mission that doesnât need to be dealtâ he says as he gets up.Â
Deacon looks down for a minute, and lets out a sigh. âThe people who went after Thatch⊠We rode with them. Their leader Sam and I were like brothers, especially after my dad brought him in after he lost his parents to the infected. But one day, the three of us were running through some old buildings and my dad fell through a collapsed floor. His leg was broken and we couldnât carry him, but rather than help us hide my dad or find a safe area⊠he turned tail and ranâ he says.
Tommy looks at him in both awe and sympathy âShit, thats fucked upâ he says as he takes a swig of coffee. Deacon shakes his head âThen the fucker tried to accuse my dad and I of hording supplies one winter, after that, me and dad said fuck it and leftâ Deacon says as he sets his hands in his lap.
Tommy lets out a sigh âI canât give you any weapons, but I can have the scouts keep an eye out for any clean survivors that mightâve ran with the group. In case their scouts or spies or whateverâ Tommy says. Deacon nods his head âI can live with that, on one conditionâŠâ he says ominously. âName your priceâ Tommy says sarcastically.
âFirst sign of trouble, you let loose at the fuckersâ Deacon says sharply.

Chapter 13: Rip and Tear, Until It Is DoneâŠ
Thatch runs through the thick forest, dodging incoming arrows and gunfire as he darts through the trees. âAlmost there, just gotta get across the state border and Iâll be in Wyoming within a few hoursâ he says, almost laughing with joy before crossing into an open highway before hearing that terrible soundâŠ
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!!
The sound echoes through the quiet highway like thunder, getting louder and louder as it speeds up in tempoâŠ
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!!
âNo⊠nononononono NO!â he screams before an arrow flies through the air, piercing his calf as he screams in pain.âAH SHIT HOLY FUCK!!!â he screams as breaks the arrow and pulls it out, using some old rags to bandage the wound.
But it's too late.
His pursuers surround him. Some on foot, most in cars or off road vehicles like four wheelers and bikes. And the ringleader stands in front of him, like a king beneath his slave, atop a semi truck with a throne on the roof. It was covered in pipes and barbed wire, like something in an old biker flick. âWell, well, well, if it isnât old Thatch Murphy. You thought you could escape after you ripped us all off all those winters ago⊠but now, after 3 years of searching and sacrifice, we got you by the ballsâ the ringleader says as they climb down the semi.
The ringleader was tall, about 6 feet by Thatchâs judgment, and fairly built. They had dark skinned arms and held an ax made from an old baseball bat and an old street sign. They also were wearing a black leather jacket, white tank top, and gray jeans. âWhat are you gonna do? Kill me? HA! Seems like more of a mercy than making me a slave or whatever gets you fuckers off, by the way howâre those Rattler dicks that died out last month? Heard they died nice and-â Thatch snaps before a soldier hits him in the face with a club knocking him to the pavement.
âPin him to the carâ The leader says. The soldiers obey their boss and pin Thatch to the car, Thatch meanwhile lashes out and spits blood at the bastards the whole time they do so.
âGO ON DO IT! WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IN YOU FUCKERS!!?! WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IN!?!?!â Thatch yells before they cover his mouth. The leader then takes off his mask revealing himself, âI believe whatever doesnât kill you, only makes you⊠Crazierâ he says with a wide smile across his scarred face, his teeth yellow and his eyes sunken.
Chapter 14: Separate Ways
Deacon, Abby and Lev exit the truck and walk up to the tower. Much to no one's surprise, it WAS massive. âAbout 20 floors, you sure youâll be alright Abby?â Deacon says as Abby grabs the duffle bag and a gas can âYeah, me and Lev have been through WAY worse than thisâ Abby says as she and Lev walk up to the door.Â
Deacon holds up a hand and grabs his banjo, this time playing the riff to âStairway To Heavenâ. Surprisingly, no infected came out or made any noise. âI donât like that, Maria says the place was full of Infectedâ Lev says as Deacon throws the banjo over his shoulder. âProbably all went deaf, letâs try something else real quickâ he says as he grabs his pistol and shoots a nearby squirrel. He then grabs it, skins it and flings it around a little.Â
Much to Lev and Abbyâs disgust, the smell attracts the Infected and the trio kill them off and move deeper insideâŠ
After a few hours of âextermination workâ the building is cleared and the three sit down in an old lobby âWorst. Job . Ever.â Lev says as he tosses his gun onto the table. âTry killing 5 Infected all fused together into one giant blob, now THATâS a nightmareâ Abby says, gloating about her past victories from her days in Seattle. âYou mean a Rat King? Iâve only seen one, supposedly theyâre only in ground zero areas of the virus. Hospitals, churches, schools, etc.â Deacon explains as he sits down before looking over Abbyâs shoulder âHey look, a recording boothâ he says as the two look behind the couch and see the room.Â
âFinders keepers D, Iâm beat for the time beingâ Abby says, kicking up her boots âAmen sisterâ Lev says, mimicking Abbyâs behavior. âWhatever, If I find anything good itâs mine, no bitching at allâ Deacon says as he gets up and walks over to the studio.
Deacon enters the studio and finds what he expected to find: Some records, old radio equipment, and musical instruments. Except theirs one that really catches his eye, an old BC Rich Mockingbird guitar. He grabs the instrument and plugs it into an amp and begins to play.
Someday love will find you
True love won't desert you
You know I still love you
Though we touched and went our separate ways
âNice singing' Dâ Abby says, Deacon jumps and sees her and Lev standing in the doorway with huge smirks on their faces. Deacon laughs, puts the guitar in its case, and throws the case over his shoulder. âLets lock up and head back, weâll get a cleanup crew set up tomorrowâ he says as the three board up and barricade the lower floors of the tower before leaving for Jackson.
Chapter 15: Cuff Love
Thatch wakes up in an old apartment, he gets up before realizing he's cuffed to the radiator. âAh shitâ he says before the leader of his pursuers opens the door with a huge smirk on his face, his yellow teeth showing through just under his gums. âMorning fuckface! Martha made some Venison Gumbo that is to DIE for, try some!â the man says as he sets the tray down and slides it to Thatch.Â
âWhere am I? Hell?â Thatch says as he spit at the bastard who cuffed him. The man cackles with laughter as he sits down on a nearby stool âNo, not that thereâs much of a differenceâ he says as he turns to Thatch. âOh right, we never formally met, Hi! My name is Sam, Iâm the leader of this group. We call ourselves the Forgotten Onesâ he says as he takes a swig from a canteen in his jacket.
âSo why did you try to go to Wyoming of all places? Got some good loot? A settlement?â he asks as he puts the canteen back in his jacket. Thatch curls his finger, signaling Sam to come closer before spitting in his face and biting a piece of his ear off. The leader screams in agony as he covers his ear, his hand slowly filling with blood. âWell then, the hard way it isâŠâ he says before whistling to his subordinates. Three enter the room, one with a bat, another with a crowbar, and another with a hammer. âHeâs all yours guys, but try to not kill him⊠we still need some more slavesâ Sam says as he walks out of the room. âNo problem boss, weâll be nice and gentle with this assholeâ the woman holding the crowbar says as Sam shuts the door.
Back in Jackson, Deacon and Ellie are going over plans for fortifying the tower before a scream is heard all throughout Jackson. Ellie and Deacon race out and see the commotion and are shocked by what they see. They see Thatch shuffle on horseback before he falls over onto the street, his body covered in burns, bruises, and cuts. âHoly shit, DAD!!â Deacon says as he runs to his father, who only utters a few words:
âThe Forgotten⊠are coming⊠leave⊠or be exterminatedâŠ.â he mutters before Maria and Tommy send a few citizens to bring Thatch to the infirmary.Â
âWhat happened to him?â Ellie asks as she catches up to Deacon. Deacon clenches his fists and grits his teeth âFucking bastard, I knew I shouldâve gutted him when I had the chanceâ he says before storming off in the opposite direction.
Abby comes in with Lev, who were both at the stables and walks up to Ellie âWhatâs up with D?â Abby asks Ellie. Ellie gives her a shrug âI donât know, some old guy came in covered in cuts and burns, he mustâve known himâ she says before Lev freezes in shock âThatchâ he says as Abby goes after Deacon.

 Chapter 11: Meeting the Rent(s)
Deacon stirs in his sleep, dreaming of something that happened a long time agoâŠ
It was Outbreak Day, he was watching cartoons at his momâs before his Dad and Uncle barged in the house and told him and his mother that Michigan was gonna be bombed to get rid of a massive virus sweeping the planet.
He didnât know what to do, and before he could do anything he wakes up in his bed, covered in sweat and panting. âFucking nightmaresâ he mutters under his breath as he gets up to check the clock in his room. â7:00 am huh? Early enough I guessâ he says as he gets up and gets dressed.
As he makes his way downstairs, he notices Abby and Lev sitting with an older woman while eating breakfast. âHi miss, something I can help you with?â he asks as he fixes his shirt. âMy name is Maria, Iâm one of the leaders of this place, and I could ask you all the same questionâ she says sharply as Deacon sits down. âWe came here to live here, nothing else to it Mariaâ he says as he takes a sip from a hot cup of coffee. âWell considering the last time Abby was here she smashed my brother in lawâs head in with a billy club, you can understand my concernâ she says, giving Abby a glare before Lev steps up. âPast issues aside, we came here for another reason as wellâ he says, motioning Deacon to speak up.Â
âOh yeah, we heard from your friend Ellie that you guys were in need of more âhigher endâ supplies and figured we could help outâ Deacon says, hoping sheâll take the bait. Maria gives the trio each a look before shrugging it off âWell, we have been struggling with communications lately, weâve had our eye on a radio tower up in the mountains for a few years now. Only problem is: itâs full of Infectedâ. Deacon scratches his beard âWe can clear it out for you, in exchange we get free housing and food for as long as the tower is operationalâ he says flatly.Â
Maria gives him a smirk âQuite a tall order, but not even Joel or Tommy were willing to clear out the tower so I suppose if thatâs all you want⊠Itâs a dealâ she says as she reaches out for a handshake.
âGlad doing' business with you Maria, weâll just need some directions to get there and some decent firearms. Weâll handle the restâ he says as he shakes her hand. âAnd while weâre on the subjectâŠâ Deacon begins as he pulls out an old leather bound journal from his bag âIâd like to offer you a copy of my fatherâs prepper guide. Itâs got everything you might need in something like todayâs world. And some extra stuff. Electrical work guides, blueprints, agricultural how-toâs, everything and anything youâd need for an âend of the world scenarioâ. Free of chargeâ he says, advertising the book as if it was a religious text.
Maria takes the book and smiles âLetâs get you your gear, and welcome to Jacksonâ.
Chapter 12: Video Killed My Radio StarÂ
Lev was impressed by how large Jackson was, especially considering how isolated it was. âI havenât been anywhere like this since I left the Seraphites back in Seattleâ he says as he looks around the compound streets before bumping into an older man in a denim jacket âWatch it you little- Hey! You're that Seraphite kid who shot me in the leg!â Tommy explains as Lev backs up. Before Tommy tries anything though, Ellie comes out from behind him and grabs his arm âEasy Tommy, he didnât mean to bump into you, heâs just not used to Jackson yet. Donât forget I was the same way once upon a timeâ she says with a grin. Tommy gives her a look before letting out a sigh âWell, weâve taken in worse folk I suppose, just keep an eye on that Abby bitch. She still owes me for fucking up my eyeâ he mutters under his breath.
Ellie looks back at Lev âDonât worry about Tommy, he can be a bit of an ass. Just try not to get on his bad side, okay?â she says. Lev gives her a nod before Deacon calls out for him. He hurries off to the gate and meets up with Abby and Deacon near a truckâHop in the backseat, Iâm drivingâ Deacon says as he tosses a duffel full of stuff over the side of the truck and walks around to get in. âGot itâ Lev says as he climbs in the backseat.
The trio pull up to the east gate before Dina runs up next to them, Deacon rolls down the window as she hands him a road map âRed path is the quickest route to the Tower, be safe, and if anything happens-â she says before Deacon cuts her off âTurn tail and head home, got it, thanks Dina!â he says as the gates open and they drive off.
While driving Lev pulls out a box of magazines behind Deaconâs seat âHuh, whatâs a Playboyâ he asks as Deacon looks over his shoulder âWhere did you- oh shit this is Tommyâs truck, figures. And donât read that Lev!â he says before grabbing the magazine and tossing it on the dashboard. âAbby see if they got anything on cassetteâ he says as Abby shuffles around before pulling out an old Joan Jett cassette from the glovebox âJoan J, never took Tommy for a rock and roll kinda guyâ Abby says as she slides the cassette in and turns up the radio.
Lev looks out the window and sees their destination, a massive radio and TV tower on top of a mountain âYou gonna be okay Abby, what with your fear of heights and all-â he says before Deacon looks at Abby in shock âNO FUCKING WAY!!â he exclaims with a cackle of laughter âYOU! AFRAID OF HEIGHTS!?!â he says as Abby crosses her arms and faces him. âWell alright asshat, whatâs your greatest fear? Rejection or some sad shit?â she says mockingly. Deacon stops laughing and lets out a sigh âPorcelain dolls, like the ones old people have walls of, fucking things are way scarier than any infected Iâve ever seenâ he says as he turns up a trail.
Lev lets out a sigh âMineâs the oceanâ he says as Deacon turns down the radio. âDonât blame you there, plenty of stuff there that creep me the fuck out tooâ he says as they continue to the tower.

Chapter 9: What Goes âBumpâ in the Night
Ellie wakes up in a panic as she looks around her and Dinaâs room. Itâs okay Ellie, just another damn nightmare she thought to herself. She gets up to make something to drink before Dina grabs her hand âDonât worry hun, just getting something to calm my nerves, promiseâ Ellie says as she kisses Dinaâs fingers and walks out the door.
Ellie fucking nightmares, ever since she was little. The idea of her mind twisting some of the fucked up shit sheâd seen over the years into terrifying monsters or vivid and dark memories that would spiral her into a panic, never sat right with her. She walks downstairs and grabs Joelâs old mug and starts to make some tea, before hearing a knock at her door.
She knew it was one of two things: One, it was some drunk ass from The Tipsy Bison thinking that their house was the local inn; Or it was something else entirely. Regardless, Ellie opens the door and almost cups her hand over her mouth in shock as she sees her late night guest.
âSup sugar tits? Miss me?â Abby says as she smirks ear to ear before letting out a brief chuckle. Ellie grabs her knife before a strange man comes from behind Abby and disarms her. âSorry Mrsâ Williams, donât wanna wake up the kid and your old ladyâ he says as Abby and Lev walk in. Ellieâs fear overtakes her rage before realizing what this could be, an invasion of Jackson. It all made sense now; the need to find more Fireflies, her and the others being so close to Jackson before they killed Joel, and Ellie was sitting on the floor, in a robe, defenseless. âYou lay one finger on either of them and Iâll-â she says quietly before Abby puts up her hand, interrupting her threat âFirst off: Iâm not THAT deranged bitch, Secondly; I came here to talkâ she says as she looks to her strange accomplice âDeacon, let her goâ. The man gives her a look of concern but obliges nonetheless. âSorry about the roughhousing miss, youâre the one who pulled the knife out thoughâ he says sheepishly as Ellie grabs her switchblade.
The four of them sit in the living room, Abby and Deacon on the couch opposite of Ellie, and Lev on a sofa to her right. Ellie takes a drink of tea before giving Abby a stare âHowâd you dickwads get in anyway? Nobody outside gets inside without clearance or permissionâ she says before Deacon holds up her answer: A giant plastic bag of weed as big as JJ. âHey, not everyone can just forget the apocalypse miss, and besides me and Tommy go backâ Deacon explains as he sets the bag on the coffee table as Dina rushes down with JJ in her arms. âWell, howdy missâ Deacon says as he tips his hat to Dina, who stares directly at Abby and Lev âWhat the fuck are you doing in my houseâ she says flatly as she slowly steps down the staircase. âWeed and action movies? I got the weed part and figured you would provide the restâ Deacon says sarcastically with a loud laugh, prompting JJ to whine a little. âBut in all seriousness, we didnât come here to fight, quite the opposite actuallyâ Abby says as Deacon clears his throat.
The two look at them confused before Abby finishes âWe came here to make peaceâ
Chapter 10: Peace Among Worlds
âPeace? Are you fucking serious?â Dina says before Ellie cuts her off âHun, I know itâs hard to believe but in all actuality, we started the whole mess in the first placeâ. Dina gives Ellie a look of both surprise and concern. âJoel killed Abbyâs father, Tommy and I killed her friends, and they went through hell to get here, as much as I wanna stick her with my knife, we shouldnât fight the cleanâ Ellie says with a heavy sigh. Dina takes a deep breath before looking at Lev âHey kid, I get one punch to your shoulder, then weâre squareâ she says as she sets JJ on a highchair next to Ellie. âFair enoughâ Lev says as he looks at Abby âWhat about that Tommy guy? We still gotta see him right?â he asks. Ellie shakes her head âIf you thought I was hard to convince, Tommy would be impossible. I mean, Abby did blast a chunk of his face off and you did shoot him in the leg with that bow of yoursâ Ellie explains.Â
Abby lets out a sigh and gets up âYeah best to give him a few days of us being here, maybe you can talk him down a little Ellie?â she says as she throws on a jacket. Ellie takes a sip of coffee and sighs âIâll try, he left for New York a few weeks ago, but he might pop in soon for the Outbreak Festivalâ. Lev tilts her head in confusion before Dina explains âItâs an annual festival we have at the end of the summer to celebrate our survival of the apocalypse, it helps people forget the world ended and all thatâ. Lev nods her head in understanding as the trio leave.
As they walk out, Deacon gives Ellie a brief stare before shutting the door. âSomething up D? You look weirded outâ Lev asks as they walk onto the street. Deacon sparks up a joint and takes a puff âThat Ellie girl, you said she was immune right?â he asks. Abby stops in her tracks âYeah, why?â she asks. Deacon lets out a deep exhale before giving off a chuckle âNothing, just was wondering who did her ink, not a lot of tattoo artists these daysâ he says with a laugh.
Abby gives him a smirk as they move on, Lev catching up before they pass by an old house.
âIs that his house Abby?â Deacon asks as Abby puts her hand to the mailbox
Abby lets out a sigh before backing off âI was so blinded by hate and vengeance, maybe if I just let it go-â she says before Deacon cuts her off. âListen Abbs, if some schmuck ever kills my dad, Iâd do far worse. Just be glad those two forgive youâ he says, putting his hand on her shoulder. âThanks D. Let's get to the Inn, Iâm beatâ Abby says as the trio head into town.
Back in Port Hueneme, Thatch runs out of the burning wreckage of The Mileena. âHoly shit, holy shit, holy fucking shitâ he says as he runs to the old employee garage that he and D had stashed a bunch of supplies and an old pickup truck.
âGotta find Deacon, before these assholes doâ he says as he peels out into the night. The Mileena still burning behind him.

Chapter 7: Clicker Lickinâ Good
After a few weeks of driving in the bus; Abby, Deacon, and Lev all stop in Las Vegas after a long stretch of driving for shits and giggles. âSo this place was a big city like Seattle?â Lev asks as Deacon opens the bus doors after they stop near an old 711 gas station. âYep, âSin Cityâ they used to call it before Outbreak Day happened, I was only a few years old when that whole shit show happenedâ Deacon says as he steps out of the bus and locks it.
The trio wander the open streets, although Vegas wasnât nearly as overgrown as Seattle, Abby still had a bad feeling about the once thriving metropolis. âYou sure no one lives here Deacon, last thing I wanna go through is another Rattler incidentâ Abby says as she looks around, checking as many buildings as possible. âFor the millionth time Abby: No one goes to Vegas unless their desperate or dead, and in the apocalypse, the last thing on peopleâs mind is where to cash their checks for the year or spend their cashâ he says as he grabs an old magazine and flips through it âHuh, Survival Guides For Suburbians . Ironicâ he says flatly as he tosses the magazine into a bush.
They eventually stop at the ruined remains of Hellâs Kitchen and stock up on food âYa know, my mom taped all 11 seasons of the TV show of this place before outbreak day, I can see if we got any in the van to watchâ Deacon says as they board up the door to the once glorious restaurant âBut firstâŠâ he says before pulling out an old 6 string banjo. He tunes the strings before playing the opening riff to âHere Comes the Sunâ by the Beatles. Much to the group's surprise, no Infected show up âWhat was that for?â Lev asks as Deacon throws the banjo over his shoulder âFirst off, Infected hate sound; Second of all, I like the Beatles; Third of all, Iâm learning how to playâ he explains
He walks over to the kitchen and puts on a chef's hat and clears his throat âWhere is the lamb sauce?â he says in a terrible British accent. Abby chuckles a little before Deacon clears his throat again âJesus christ, itâs raw ITâS FUCKING RAWâ he yells as he throws a plate as Abby continues to try not to laugh. âI donât get it?â Lev asks confusingly as Deacon tosses the hat and walks over to them âItâs Gordon Ramsey Lev, a famous chef from the Old Worldâ he says as he heads into the pantryÂ
âWell, at least they didnât take any spicesâ Deacon says as he loads up a backpack full of different spices from around the world and walks out âLetâs head back, there should be something around here we can use for meatâ he says as he exits the pantry.
The group exit the restaurant and return to the bus, still unaware of the dangers that await themâŠ
Chapter 8: Curbstomp Pickup
As the group reaches the 711 where the bus was parked, Lev stops and looks behind her âHang on, do you hear that?â she says as the two others turn around and see the source of Abbyâs concern:
A group of vehicles roar through the empty streets of Las Vegas, the engines echoing like a demonic roar âGET IN THE BUS NOW!!!â Deacon yells as Lev and Abby bolt it towards the bus and get inside. Deacon throws the bag of spices through an open window and hops in âAbby! Bolt the door shut! Lev grab the duffel bag and get me some ammo!â Deacon says as he gets up off the ground as the three scramble to get the bus started.
Lev grabs the duffle, as well as a handful of empty bottles, rubbing alcohol, and old white rags. âABBY!! MOLOTOV INGREDIENTS!â He says as he tosses the ammo to Deacon and the throwable components to Abby as Deacon kicks the bus into gear and peels out of the gas station before shooting a few rounds at an open pump and blowing the whole station to smithereens.Â
âABBY! TRY TO TAKE OUT THE SMALLER VEHICLES!!â Deacon says as he swerves around abandoned cars and roadblocks to avoid the pursuing horde of cars behind them. Abby gives him a nod and grabs her shotgun. She climbs through the emergency exit on the roof and uses the railings to maintain her balance as she tries to shoot their pursuers. Before looking ahead to see a massive blockade of cars and trucks blocking the path out of Vegas âDEACON WE GOT A ROADBLOCK AHEAD!!!â She yells down, still trying to avoid getting shot at.
Deacon looks ahead and quickly pulls a lever, which activates a military grade debris plow he and Thatch installed to push past similar blockades âHOLD ONTO YOUR ASSES WEâRE COMIN IN HOT!!!!!â he yells as they crash through the wall of old metal and paint and head right out of Vegas.
âHOLY SHIT! We made it! YEAH!!â Lev yells as they get back on the interstate highway en route to Utah âFUCK YOU ASSHOLESâ he says as he gives their pursuers the finger, which makes the other two laugh.
Abby climbs down from the roof and sets her Double Barrel on the table next to the exit ladder âNever ever visiting Vegas againâ she says, almost out of breath. âNo worries, weâll take Interstate 15 until we hit Provo, then weâll take I-80 until we reach Wyoming. After that, weâll be in spitting distance of Jacksonâ Deacon says with a laugh.
âAlright, if you need me, Iâm gonna take a nap, later you guysâ Abby says as she shuffles off to the room in the back of the bus and falls onto the bed as she drifts into unconsciousness âwhat a fucking dayâ she mumbles to herself.
