Wanted to see what was behind those helmets, the identity of a Yuke from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles... I sort of understand Yuri and Chelinka's reaction when they said they seen Alhanalem's face, but were unable to describe it... But this does open a few new doors, mainly, their heads aren't always the same, and sometimes are shaped to fit with their helmet.
I have made a connecting with the Yukes of Final Fantasy Crustal Chronicles, and with the Black Mages of Final Fantasy 9 as well, because both are almost the same in a way, The Black Mages are souls created into weapons, while Yukes are Souls with otherworldly forms, and in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Ring of fate, you are given the Black Mage Set, and in the poster, we see the Yuke wearing it first as well.
And lastly, the Lich from both Crystal Chronicles and Ring of Fate series, it always strikes me as odd that the Lich has a weird forming helmet or face back in Crystal Chronicles (also have the guide book), and the Lich from Ring of Fate (won't spoil it) has a bird like head, probably to resemble a vulture or a crow to symbolize death, but what if that's not the case?...
As we see from Crystal Bearer, the Lich doesn't follow that same appearance, in fact, it's not that much different from the skeletons from the game as well, why is that?
But they do match up with the skeleton enemies from Crystal Chronicles, even with the big jawline, and structural appearance almost matches up as well, and that's when it dawned on me... The Lich we see the Crystal Chronicles and The Ring of Fate as Yuke's,
Everything a Yuke does is in the name of it's research, finding the greater meaning in things, from it's job, to it's lifestyle, it also stands to reason it's physical body is part of this as well, and of course maintaining their bodies as well, the Lich seems to have abandon this case, and become something more, or wanted to transcend death itself for greater knowledge, who's to say...
The Yuke's we see in Crystal Chronicles are more armor-like, or voidborn as I call them, with no way for food to sustain their physical bodies, they have abandon them in order survive, or mostly.
And in the DLC for Crystal Chronicles on the switch, they have taken their physical appearances once again, more or less anyways. I know I know, I'm getting off topic... My point to all of this, Yuke's do take on a bird like appearances, even their heads aren't always the same, but they do have that genuine appearances, it details, maybe like they owl, it symbolizes knowledge and wisdom, regardless, we may not see a Yuke's true face, we at least have an idea never the less...
