I originally created and posted this gifset almost eight years ago at this point to highlight the debut match of Scott Hall as Razor Ramon in the WWF. I figured I’d repost the GIFs today to talk about Razor given everything that’s been going on. 

Razor Ramon and Scott Hall, the character will forever be one of the coolest motherfuckers to walk this earth. An innovator, an enigma, and above all else, an icon of the industry. The swagger, the chains, the accent, the charisma, the talent, the theme music, the presentation...everything about Razor was cool as all hell and when he walked in the door, he looked like a star. He was a star.

Scott Hall, the person was an extremely witty and creative guy. There are plenty of stories about Scott’s creativity, such as him being the one to suggest that Sting’s gimmick be similar to Brandon Lee’s The Crow. Scott had a vicious battle against addiction and personal demons and thanks to DDP, Scott fought like hell to beat those demons until the end.

Bad times don’t last, but bad guys do. Thank you for everything, chico. 💛 🖤
