World of Warcraft Fix

A few months ago, I purchased a World of Warcraft game from Big Lots for $5. I was curious to see what all the hoopla was about. After installing the software, I opened an account with my own personalized character. She was a magician with powers I would earn throughout my quests. The subscription was $14.95, which isn't extravagant, but wasn't within my budget that already included Netflix. Fortunately, there was a trial period that would allow me to get my feet wet.

I'm not a gamer, but I enjoyed WoW. It was interesting to test my powers, and figure out how to loot items for trading/selling. And of course, it was funny to watch other players interact, especially those joined together in a closely knit guild. I actually was asked to join a guild upon entry into WoW, but never encountered fellow guild mates for questing. That's cool. I'm okay with figuring things out by myself. There was another magician who I joined forces with for about an hour. I'm pretty sure he was around 15 years old, but I appreciated him showing me how to better play the game.

In the end, I had to cancel my subscription. But, that doesn't mean I don't miss WoW. Hopefully, I'll acquire gainful employment in the near future that allows me to afford Netflix and WoW for fun. Hope to see you there!

The Library

I use our local library, literally up the street on the corner, regularly. It has saved me money on getting books and DVD's for our media pleasure. Since I'm relocating home to Memphis, I decided to check out their library system. I'm not pleased.

Borrowing DVD's and CD's actually cost money, between $.50-$2.00. So not cool. We get these for free at Buffalo. DVD rental is only 3 days versus 7 days here. Apparently, we're entering a new world, new adventure, that will have challenges. We should be encouraging everyone to use their local library to save money and support city organizations. To me, this discourages people, influencing them to instead spend their money/time at stand alone media stores or online getting entertainment. What can we do to make this better?

Meatloaf Cupcakes with Mashed Potato Icing

My son, being my son, requested meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potato icing. Me being me, I accepted this challenge. Tonight, I'm attempting to make this dish. My plans is to:

1)Cook brown and serve rolls, and use them as the shell of the cupcake *DONE*

2)Cook meat balls in muffin tins so that I know they're compact enough to fit inside the rolls *OVEN*

3)Make my usual mashed potatoes skin on *IN PROGRESS*

4)Dig out a hole in the rolls large enough for the meatloaf balls, and place them inside. Cover with mashed potatoes. Accompany with gravy. *LATER*

I don't know if this will work. But, I'll keep you posted if interested. This is a nice break from poultry, which we've been consuming like World War Z up in this piece. 1lb Ground turkey at $1.69 and 10lb of chicken for $6.90 can't be ignored when pork and beef costs so much. Being Mrs. Old McDonald never sounded so good.
