Hello!
My name is Ashlea, I’m a 29 year old chronically ill gamer and metalhead from, Australia, navigating this life with *FND (Functional Neurological Disorder), PTSD, BPD, Depression, Anxiety, Endometriosis, and Scoliosis.
I developed PTSD and FND after escaping domestic violence years ago. I use a cane to walk and I’m a couple years into my recovery journey, still working out how to live with a malfunctioning meatsuit while making the most of the hand I have been dealt.
This blog is basically a distraction/escape from the reality of how shit it is to live with chronic illnesses and is essentially just thirst traps, selfies and shitposting. Occasionally I might post the odd health-related thing but that’s mostly for my main socials.
I post more about me, my personal life and my recovery process on My Instagram if you’re interested in a little more -
Lighter facts about me:

**FND is a neurological disorder that impacts the nervous system, hindering the way that messages are sent and received throughout the body, resulting in a number of horrific symptoms such as seizures, tingles and weakness in limbs, issues with walking and balance, appetite suppression, insomnia and much, much more. Mine was triggered by physical and emotional trauma and distress, but other known trigger include sustaining a TBI (traumatic brain injury), undergoing brain surgery, excessive and prolonged stress levels. There have also been reports of cases of FND developing in patients without any of the above being applicable.
