Hi jade! Hope you're well!! Anything weird/fun going down recently?

GG: hmmm honestly i haven't been doing much lately! 

GG: the clouds have been clear and christmas ended recently so i've been thinking i should take my decorations down

GG: other than that, it's the same old same old haha!

GG: recently i've just been... waiting around for something fun to happen. like a change in the weather or a cool new hybrid out of my plants!

GG: but i've got my friends and bec! i don't need my life to be totally adventurous to be fun, you know?

GG: dave got me this a while ago! he says it makes me 100 times cooler because it's ironic and funny but i think he's the coolest!!

GG: i sent him and all my other friends some gifts this year, they all already got theirs!! mail takes forever to run from here so i always ship stuff really early

GG: i know they’ll love what i got them!!! i’ve already seen their reactions in the clouds

GG: not that you guys would really know about that!! i’ll explain later ><

GG: for now i just want to enjoy some time off!! that was my last prediction of the year, so now i get to relax with bec and my grandpa! though.. he’s not really one for the holidays!! he’s always so straight-faced, even during this time of year :/

GG: but maybe this time i’ll finally get him in the holiday spirit!! :D

GG: anyways i hope you all have a very merry christmas, and a happy new year!!!

GG: i think i'm just gonna keep taking care of bec and my plants and also try getting the hang of all of this, but what are you up to?

have you ever tried rose hips? and, does anything you grow have any interesting weird edible parts?

GG: i never tried them myself, but my granddad and i used to grow them together! he always said they were tart so i guess i got nervous when it came to eating them raw

GG: they're nice and sweet in jams tho!! i make a certain kind of rose hip jam thing and it's honestly kinda difficult :(( there's like these hairs u have to avoid and it's tough getting around them, but the end result is almost always worth it!

GG: and most things i grow are edible!

GG: like radishes can have suuuuuper tasty leaves, but since they're weird and hairy people don't try them often. they're good when they're cooked though! you can also eat the tips of vines, squash shoots, carrot tops... a bunch of things!

GG: i love my friends!!! they’re very special to me

GG: i hope that one day i can visit them!!

GG: but for now it’s just me and bec on this island, and that’s enough for me :)

GG: i love all of my plants but recently i've been growing bleeding hearts! they have a super sad name but they're these really gorgeous flowers!

GG: im excited to grow them but they're poisonous to dogs so i have to be super careful
