Rachel is SUCH a girl's girl and I swear if I see ppl hating on her again- like she backed off THE moment she knew annabeth liked Percy, she didn't even have to do that since annabeth wasn't even Percy's girlfriend yet, so she isn't even obligated to back away. Since annabeth has no "claim" over Percy. But she did it anyway because she wanted annabeth to be happy, Shes genuinely so chill and never retaliated when Annabeth went all volcano on her. Also never insulted annabeth back.

One thing I like is how Rick made sure that Percy was NEVER mean to Rachel, or degraded her in any way. There's this thing I've noticed where writers make their characters criticize the female rival in the love triangle to uplift the main love interest. Rachel IS a cool person, and Rick made sure to acknowledge that, by making Percy admit that shes pretty and cool, Tyson calling her beautiful, etc. instead of making her behave badly so she simply exists to make annabeth look "cooler". Which is something, he unfortunately did with Piper and Drew. Making Drew a stereotypical mean girl to uplift Piper and make her look better.

I have this unpopular opinion (that shouldn't even be unpopular if you ask me) that goes back to the days of my first reading of the PJO series, of which I've always been really proud of, and that I am even more proud of now that I re-read it after 12 years.

I've always liked Rachel. I've always thought she deserved a better treatment. I've always thought Annabeth was being totally unfair to both her AND Percy with regards to their friendship and mean to Rachel for absolutely no valid reason. And no, I don't care how young Annabeth was at that time, she was the very same age I was when I developed this opinion in the first place.

I had to say this, and I don't care if you're not ready/don't want to hear/accept this.

its very fun to draw Percy just casually wearing swim trunks for no reason, like he just wears them as normal shorts. but at the same time it's kind of hilarious because he. can just simply chose to not get his clothes wet. so there is absolutely zero reason for him to have to wear swim trunks. the implication is that he just does it for the aesthetics.

And Holt is NOT cool. Holt keeps up what he perceives as a cool guy persona but is simply NOT a cool guy. He has anger issues, no social queues, basically no friends, and canonically most people find him annoying.
