"Probably a good idea," he laughed, though he took a sig of his own beer anyway. The seriousness of Jager’s words surprised him. Connor knew that Alaska dated the younger boy and that their break-up was fairly recent, but didn’t know that he still had feelings for her. It was clear by what he said and how he said it. Nodding, he replied, "I will. She’s my best friend first and I would never hurt her. I promise."

He sighed and looked away for a bit, trying to get his words lighter. He took in a deep breath. "If you will though, I would be that asshole that would go to you and beat you up." he chuckled.

"Okay then, I think I might've to pass on this one." Jager stays silent for a moment and then his face turns a bit serious. "So, I've heard you and Alaska are like a thing, yeah?" he presses his lips together and then he looks at Connor's eyes. "Take--take care of her, man. She's precious." he rubs the side of his face. "And try not to hurt her so much, she deserves happiness--really."  he then smiles in the end.
