And I’m looking forward to your honest review of it, Miss!
prudensmagistra:
Very true, Jaime, very true indeed. How are you, hun? Any new concoctions to share?
I’m doing well, sir! I think I may have come up with something completely original!!! If you’d like to drop by the Culinary Arts classroom at any point I’d gladly share some with you! I think you’ll find it rather enjoyable!
youngpupmich:
Oooh, peanut butter cookies after a full moon sound super good right now!
Oh! That’s right! The full moon was Friday! I completely forgot. One batch of peanut butter cookies are on their way to your dorm room right now, Michael!
cadencexmclean:
For sure. I would love to be a taste tester.
Yay!!! Drop by the Culinary Arts classroom anytime between 3-5 tomorrow afternoon and I’ll have some fresh and waiting!
cadencexmclean:
Chocolate and peanut butter is always a delicious mix.
Does that mean that you’ll be a taste tester?
Calling all food lovers!!! I’ve concocted a new dessert that I would absolutely love for people to try!!!!!
It’s a chocolate cake with a peanut butter lava center topped with whipped cream and a cocoa powder dusting!
youngpupmich:
Can someone come bring me food… Or something… I’m so tired…
I have a fresh batch of peanut butter cookies, if you’d like?
prudensmagistra:
I guess I’m late to this party, I believe. Professor Alexander Regenbogen. I teach Fae History, and I’m also a Fairy. I’m more than willing to answer any questions if any of you little doves have any.
Better to be late than never show up, Professor Regenbogen!
queeneriica:
I grew up in a village just outside of Moscow. It was… cold. I always hungry. Even when I grew older, I was always… hungry. Thus, I have learned to never take such luxuries for granted. I gained so much being turned. Knowledge, wealth, power– all of these things given to me at the price of… a bite. That is why I say that one must never become sluggish. They take their material things for granted and they become lazy. Ignorant. One should, if they can, learn to balance the two sides. Everything is in modera… moderation? да.
Perhaps there was a less violent way to end this war. But what is done is done. We should not dwell on the past longer than we need to. I suspect many Incubi will step in as diplomats in Unblessed cities. Several helped to negotiate peace in the first place, I have no doubt that they will be utilised to their full potential in the coming months.
Hет. What I was fighting for soothed my soul. I was fighting for justice– for freedom. I was fighting with tooth and nails– Oh, нет. That is not right, is it? Fighting with nails and tooth? … English phrases will never be simple.
I was fighting for the safety of our people. I take pride in that. If we had not banded together as we did, we would have been hunted to extinction. We were a dying race– but now we thrive. And for that, I am happy.
Moscow...? Oh! That’s the large city in Russia, yes? I only visited there once for a very brief period of time. It was lovely, even in the cold. Ah yes, of course. I don’t think everyone takes their material things for granted, I’ve met many people who appreciate every thing they are given but I can see why you feel that way. Yes, moderation! Moderation is a wonderful thing.
Yet another fact we agree on, Miss Erica. I think the Incubi could do well to help the Human cities. We all need to learn to live in peace.
Oh! Yes, that makes much more sense than what I had initially thought! I think you might mean fighting tooth and nail? Some of the idioms of the English language can be difficult to master.
No race should ever be hunted to extinction. I am glad that you all survived, Miss Erica.
youngpupmich:
Oh! What new recipe are you working on Professor Kehoe?
I guess that’s true. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t find it hard to forget. It’ a new toy–no puns intended.
It’s a secret! But it involves a few of my favorite things so fingers crossed it come out well!!! Once it’s done I’ll let you have a taste!
Well hopefully others will start to remember more often. I know the Headmaster and Headmistress have high hopes that this will be good for socializing!
youngpupmich:
Damn, it’s quiet on here, everyone fall off the face of the earth at the same time?
I can’t speak for everyone but I know I’m working on a new recipe! So that, plus teaching, tends to take up a bit of my time.
And this technology is still new too!!! People might forget it’s a thing~
queeneriica:
I… suppose. I used to spend my time in Europe and the Orient– ah. Asia. It was… enlightening. To an extent. But one cannot live in the lap of luxury for too long. You grow sluggish. So I fought instead. And doing that, I saw many other things. Some good, some horrifying. But that is life, yes?
I still haven’t seen as much as many other Fae have. There is always more to learn. Always more to know.
We fought for our survival. We should never be ashamed of what we had to do in order to secure that. I served my nation. I served our Queen and King. And for that, I was given many medals. But a decoration means nothing; what I was fighting for soothes my soul and heals the hurt. That is what was important. That is what is important.
That’s a very interesting point of view. I suppose that may be life for some. I cannot say I fought more than to protect my home and my family. I think there were... better ways to handle the conflict, but! that’s neither here nor there because the war is over now.
I agree with that sentiment 100% Miss Erica.
Perhaps I need to take a class on the history of this war.... Fighting soothed your soul?
youngpupmich:
I’m excited for you! I might actually go back next vacation too, so visit old pack members, if they’re still there.
Awesome! I’ll try to eat lunch before then too so I’m not eating all the dough before it’s made. I look forward to making cookies with you!
Oh? Did you have a large pack there?
We will make sure to set aside some dough for us to munch on. I look forward to it too!!
youngpupmich:
Yeah! It’s quite breathtaking for those who haven’t been there before. I suggest getting high in the mountains to see the overview of it, and definitely suggest doing it in the summer. Winters are pretty harsh up there.
Would around noon-1pm work? I may not know much about cooking, but I know it takes time, and if we’re making a big batch, we can use it before dinner.
I have added those notes into my travel book so I remember! It sounds so lovely and I simply cannot wait until our next vacation so that I can go see it for myself!
That works perfectly!! I get done teaching my morning class at 11:25 so that leaves me time to eat a quick bit of lunch before we make the cookies!
awickedprofessor:
I am very glad to hear of it, Miss Kehoe. It is a pleasant moment that we can all bask in, and cultivate hope for the future.
Ah, of course. I have not… fraternised with Fairies all too much. Though one would think it highly probably given how close Witches tend to be to them, I spent my earlier years in the Human world, thus was not as close to Fae culture. I am still learning as my students are.
I think the closeness between our factions is truly a case to case scenario, Professor. I personally have little experience with Witches and from the sounds of it you’ve little with Fairies. I count that to be a blessing, though, for it allows us a fresh start from the connections our factions have shared in the past, no?
queeneriica:
When you see the things I have seen, it takes a lot to call something beautiful.
Well– yes. I cannot lie and say that I have not done those things. There are few among us who have not. I suppose I should be glad for the new generation that will not have to face those things, yes?
I can only imagine. It sounds as though you are well-traveled, Miss.
That is also a truth, of course. Even those of us that were not on the front lines of the battle have at least some experience with that. Yes, I would say this new generation is quite lucky that way! I envy them.
catrinroberts:
She looks like this.
Definitely a vibrant fairy!
.... Whoa. Talk about a short dress! I mean, it’s very pretty but it’s certainly not what I would consider a standard outfit for a Fairy. I mean, some clubbing outfits but not... everyday wear. Did she wear that every day?
Oh most definitely! Her wings are a little more translucent than I expected but still very pretty overall. And I love her hair!
