That can always be a challenge. You should bribe her with something. Tell her if she gets through the car ride you’ll buy her a new toy.

Your mom lives in Southvale? I had no idea. I’m sure she could. Is she good with kids?

She moved back recently. She always liked you. She is good with kids and she wants to be more involved in Kenzie’s life.

Because you’re here now, she may never ask. Um, I was going to try to. It depends on if I can find someone I trust to take care of Kenzie.

I hope not. We should go. Could my mom watch her?

I understand. I think we should only tell her if she ever asks though. Maybe by that point, we won’t have to tell her about everything. Just that we were on board at the same time but you’re here now and that’s a good start.

That makes sense. When she’s old enough and has questions I’ll be honest about it. Maybe what matters right now is that I’m there for her. I can do that. Oh Is, I wanted to ask you something. Are you going to Violet and Adrian’s wedding?

It’s nice to see this different side of you. I like that we can be a team now instead of being against each other. I don’t think she’s ever going to find out. She’s still young enough not to really think about it. And if she does, we can come up with something. She doesn’t need to know.

Yeah I know what you mean. This is going to be better for her. [He looks away] We could but I don’t want to lie to her either. I’ll just have to be honest and be constant from now on.

All of us Southvale people on vacation together? Is that safe?

Now that Reed’s gone it’s safe. When is the last time we all got together and did something cool?

Yeah I am. Bella’s going with a nanny and I’m ready to see what kind of crazy stuff happens.

That’s good. I was thinking that we should all try to get there early and make a vacation out of it. What do you think?

You give me more than enough credit, I promise. She does and between the both of us, I think she’s going to have a good life. It’ll be nice to have someone else to help out when she can be a bit of a handful. -she shakes her head and frowns- Don’t. You’re here now.

I know she will have a good life because we’re going to make sure of it. You will have help. We’re a team now. [He looks at her] what if she figures out I wasn’t always there from the beginning?

You give me too much credit. I think having Kenzie and seeing her; you changed for her. Are you kidding? She’s been asking about you since the first time she saw you.

I don't give you enough credit. Kenzie definitely made me want to commit to it one hundred percent. Our kid deserves a good life with her family. [He smiles] I guess you're right. I'm just always going to... feel guilty for not always around when she was born.
