I was so sad to hear about Anthony Heads passing, he played roles that meant so much to us queer, softhearted little nerds. Hearing about his support of the trans community has been so warming to read about. We will always remember your pink DS on the set of Merlin, Rest in peace sir 💔

Anthony Head: Buffy and Ted Lasso actor dies at 72

The 72-year-old British actor also had roles in shows including Merlin and Little Britain.

British actor Anthony Head, best known for his roles in TV shows including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ted Lasso, Merlin and Little Britain, has died at the age of 72. Head found international fame as Rupert Giles in hit supernatural teen show Buffy in the late 1990s. He went on to have a recurring role in sketch show Little Britain, play king Uther Pendragon in the BBC's Merlin, and appear as former football club owner Rupert Mannion in Ted Lasso. "He passed away peacefully of complications due to pneumonia, surrounded by his family," his daughters Emily and Daisy said. His daughters' statement said "it is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our extraordinary father". They added: "It has been, and forever will be, an honour and a privilege to be his daughters, and to have witnessed firsthand the impact both he and his work have had on so many." They also said they knew "how dearly he will be missed by friends, colleagues and fans of the show he was in", adding that he "loved his job very much" and "always considered himself incredibly lucky". His family acknowledged that "his legacy will live on" and said they considered themselves "lucky" to have watched him doing what he loved throughout his career. Head's other credits included The Iron Lady, Persuasion, The Inbetweeners and Manchild.

RIP anthony head, you will be missed.

I’ve been i’ve been trying to figure out how to draw Merlin these past few days trying to figure out my own style for him, and I can never quite get the eyes right no matter what expression I was doing. Then I realized as I looked closer to photos from the show and fully understanding who the character was that no matter what emotion Merlin was feeling, there seems to be always a look of defeat or a look of the weight of the world and I kind of. I’m trying to figure out how to add that to the sketches.

Not a question, but a humble request from someone who came from your art found through the whole world of art reference to draw Merthur, I would love to see a rendering of dragon!merlin with Arthur in your artstyle! I always yearned the dragon lord merlin so so much (also your art is very delicious 🫶🫶)

How do you people draw scales??

someone sent me an anon ask about rocky meeting eva and i tried to post it not once but twice and tumblr ate it both times so now im just regular posting it here

i think ryland would grow to understand stratt’s choice with time, and even thank her logic of it because it led to his meeting of rocky, but i dont think he’d ever really forgive her for what she did to him

(Ryland had to prep rocky before they touched down to meet Stratt so he wouldnt charge her at first sight)
