This was the Muppet Treasure Island/Black Sails/OFMD crossover crackfic I was writing with @jamesbarlow, except we never finished it. (Partially because script form is neither of our fortes.) So I'm going to share a bunch of excerpts of what we had because I still think it's really funny:

one of the subplots is that, true to canon, Stede read the crew Gulliver's Travels ten years early. (If we ever wrote the part where he met Jack Rackham, this would drive Jack Rackham crazy because he doesn't know why he doesn't have access to it.)

Flint and Madi are being told they're going to see Long John Silver, which they're both pretending they have no feelings whatsoever about, and then they're faced not with their guy but with Tim Curry:

Thomas has no idea what's going on EXCEPT he definitely met Stede Bonnet before:

our explanation for Tim Curry Silver is that he really did sail with Flint, lost his leg on the Maria Alayne, and fucked off to do something else. Then when the stories about Long John Silver started going around he figured he'd make the most of them.

meanwhile the trouble twins are reuniting to try and stop Madi and Flint from digging up the treasure:

reading through this I kind of want to finish it now because I do still think it's very funny. I'd probably have to rewatch MTI and OFMD though.
