Say What? Did I read that correctly?
The absolute cause of 2016 being the most violent year for Ottawa in recent history will remain unknown but it can be assured that the rising crime rate and rising crime severity index forebodes more of the same.
BC Green Party holds balance of power in new minority Liberal government
The Green Party won enough seats to hold the balance of power after Tuesday's election, but risks ruin by backing the New Democratic Party, say political scientists from the University of British Columbia...
Government had plenty of time to prepare for and prevent the flooding of Ottawa and Gatineau, yet, no matter the level, it has done little to help the victims of the flood.
In mid-April the Ottawa River was rising and by early May it was still rising at an unprecedented rate. By May 4th, areas were already flooding and it was abundantly clear Ottawa was in for a hefty load of rain
Ottawa woman denied right to file police report
Ending violence against women is one of the top three priorities of Ottawa Police Chief, Charles Bordeleau. It's too bad some of those on the front lines, "didn't get the memo".
Green Party of Ontario leader Mike Schreiner will be on "Town Hall Live with Michael A. Charbon" on Monday, April 24 at 7 pm. Schreiner will discuss the important issues facing Ontarians today...
The Chair of the Ottawa Police Services Board sent a formal request to Ottawa Life Magazine Publisher and Managing Editor Dan Donovan and Carleton University Criminology Professor Darryl Davies seeking a correction to a story related to the violent killing of Abdirahman Abdi by Constable Daniel Montsion. What follows is OPSB Chair Eli El-Chantiry's email and our response.

I've been holding my tongue (for the most part), until enough time past where I felt I could honestly weigh-in on the Mika Zibanejad for Derrick Brassard trade. Well, the regular season is almost over now and I've seen enough to know that it was a bad trade that has left a large, gapping hole in the middle of the Ottawa Senators line-up.
Thinking of my father, a true Canadian Irishman, on this special St. Patrick’s Day...
Closing schools result of failed Liberal Education plan and unsustainable promise to Catholics...
The Green Party of Ontario does not believe it's necessary to close public schools in local communities when other fiscal alternatives exist, like ending duplication by merging the Catholic and Public School Boards in Ontario. $1.5 Billion annual savings is sufficient to keep local community schools open, bring back specialty teachers for gym, music and art, and invest in more classroom resources.
Liberals sacrificing local schools to keep unsustainable promise to one religious group...
Green Party of Ontario leader Mike Schreiner is restating the party’s call for a moratorium on school closures until the government fixes the funding formula. The GPO also supports investing more money in classrooms and community schools by ending duplication in the public and separate school boards.

Ottawa Police Services Board Chair linked to known criminal on Facebook
Do as I say and not as I do seems to be the message from Ottawa Police Services Board chair, Eli El-Chantiry...
