UPDATE!

Great news! I am getting new clients! I am so grateful and so excited. To anyone out there trying to start their own business or do eyelash extensions, patience is key. Great things take time and it’s a beautiful thing to see something flourish even if it is happening slowly.

You have to be persistent. Keep doing eyelashes even if you have to do some peoples eyelashes for free, this will help you have content for your social media, more practice and potential referrals. Also another advice I would give is to have separate social media for your eyelash business.

LADIES this is the proper way to remove eyelash extensions. As you can see only the extensions have been removed not her natural lashes.

A few years ago I had a client who picked ALL her eyelash extensions off🤭 THAT IS A BIG NO NO! She barely had any lashes left for me to apply extensions to. With that being said, ladies PLEASE don’t pick off your eyelash extensions you can suffer from damaging your natural lashes. We don’t want that. Truth Moment

Honestly, I am struggling to get my clientele up. I quit my job assuming that I was going to be able to do lashes full time, but really that was naive of me. I look back and I want to ask myself: “What were you thinking!?” Now I have no job and no consistent clientele.

I don’t know what it takes to get my clientele up. Trust me I’ve done everything. I have created flyers, passed out flyers, made business cards, paid for ads on google, Facebook and Instagram. On top of that I post on Instagram using multiple hashtags EVERYDAY! And you know what I get?? All I get are likes! How can I change those likes into real customers in my lash chair?

There is some good that has come out of this. I’ve also got new followers, followers from different parts of the world. Now, as a beauty page, I’m realizing that followers ARE NOT important. Not when they’re from the Netherlands and you’re an eyelash technician in the states. What I need are customers/clients.

Maybe I need to be patient. I did just start working in the shop 2 weeks ago. My first week I had 2 clients and I really thought the clientele would start rolling in like the domino effect. Especially since my two clients said everyone LOVED they’re lashes. They even said that they were passing out my flyers and business cards. **sigh**

I just wanted to be truthful with whoever is reading this. Great things take time. Don’t go and jump the gun so quickly. I didn’t want to glamorize this page and cover the true struggle I am facing. My hope is to be real and update you as much as possible.

True Satisfaction

There’s nothing more satisfying than the look on my clients face once I finish doing their lashes. That moment when I give them the mirror to look at the work I’ve done makes me so happy to see them happy.

The greatest feeling I’ve ever known! I LOVE what I do😍😍

You know that feeling when you completed a task or project that you love so much… Well, let’s say doing eyelash extensions gives me that feeling! Her natural lashes are straight. I decided to use the B curl lashes (as opposed to L curl or J curl) And they came out perfect! (.15 diameter 13mm/12mm mix & 10 mm on the inner and outer corners)

She wanted a natural but noticeable look and I’m so glad I nailed it!

Marketing is Key!

I have been doing eyelash extensions for 8+ years now. When I first started, my brand colors were purple (because purple was my favorite color at the time). I soon learned that theme and colors are a big part of branding and marketing.

This year I decided to re-brand with new colors and a new name to attract my target audience. I even got these new business cards that I am so excited about! I designed and edited the business cards myself and went to Staples for printing. I even do all the photography.☺️

She’s Certified!

I’M OFFICIALLY A CERTIFIED LASH TECHNICIAN!!!! (The price just went WAYY up lol)

I have been doing lashes for 8+ years, never thought to get certified. Glad I did! When I first started doing eyelashes I was only a teenager. You’ll never believe my starting price LOL it was wait for it… $25! Wow where can you get a price like that now. Over the years I would increase my price by increments, But it feels so good to be a certified lash technician!
