Do a NEW discreet political action in response to this post. (Phone call, email, protest, letter, petition, canvas, etc.) US Americans: this should be in response to the Trump Administration or any right wing fascist crap happening at the National, state, or local level. NEW Non-Americans: the rise of fascism is everywhere, so I am opening this up to you all, too. Tell about your action against right wing and fascist crap happening in your country.

DM me on any of my fandom socials OR send me an ask on tumblr (can be anon) telling me what your action was, when you did it, and what your request is. You choose whether you want to be named or tagged in my post with your fulfilled request!

Request requirements: I am not fulfilling NSFW requests (if you aren’t sure whether what you want qualifies, we can chat); I will do OCs!; I may negotiate based on my personal skill, haha, and whether I know the fandom/characters. (My girlfriend after I texted the clip of Cass and Raps racing horses in that one Season 2 episode: “Oh they got CHEMISTRY chemistry, I see”)

Late third entry for the @spopfandomevents Thank You She-ra event for Season 3! I’m obsessed with Catra, what can I say? She is fun and she is tragic and at the end of Season 3, after we see her almost ALMOST make a healthy choice, we see her dig herself into a hole so deep I remember thinking “how the heck are they gonna pull off this redemption??” I am so impressed with how this show handles cycles of abuse and so impressed with how it handles Catra’s entire arc. Also, Catra has so many good fits 🔥

I’ve been thinking it would be fun to make some art based on some of my burlesque acts/performances, and here’s my first one! I like how it came out 😍

I haven’t posted much this year because of the chaos, but here to report that there may be sunshine yet! Today has been a day for me—day off, taking myself out to coffee, haircut (with shampoo!), mani-pedi (I chose yellow and orange to bring some sunshine), and a nice dinner to come with my two lovely partners and a metamour 🥰.

At 32, I started doing burlesque (!!! My art may begin to take a burlesque-y turn when I do start posting again 😅) and performed 3 times, learned to rhinestone (ha), met one of my lovely partners 😍, printed my first stickers! (I know I promised more, but chaos, remember??), went to many protests and many job interviews 😂, got to meet a close friend’s new baby and spend lots of Fridays with her 😭, met my new nephew!, toured some farms I buy from at my local farmers market!, took many walks with coworkers, read books and listened to audiobooks, tried new podcasts, colored coloring pages with my friends, bought a fancy pencil sharpener at an art store??, went to a carnival in someone’s backyard, saw all three lord of the rings extended editions in theaters, went to the ren faire twice, became comfortable getting manicures by myself after a friend accompanied me before my first burlesque show 😅, bought running shoes (and ran very little, but I still have time), bought fancy lingerie my spouse helped pick out, visited my old graduate school campus to learn about red wolves, went to several library wildlife talks, celebrated 5 years of marriage with a vacation in Boone (where we ate absolutely excellent food), met up with a bunch of fanfiction friends in Tennessee and had an amazing time!, did karaoke in public twice, went to many book club meetings, started anxiety medication (ha), accepted that I very likely have adhd 😅, and so much more. My mental health has not been at its best this year; I blame environmental factors 😂 but, even in the fire, I’ve got a whole lot to celebrate. I have so many people to love in my life and experiences to embrace! Here’s to another year—and hoping we can make the world a little better and find joy even in the face of evil.

Late second entry for the @spopfandomevents Thank You She-ra event for Season 2! I absolutely adore how this show managed to weave a coming out story into a world where queerness is the norm; it’s a lovely metaphor and so clearly illustrates the importance of parents allowing their children to tell them who they are—I’m so glad we had it for the time that we did 😭. I hope this show finds a new home; for now I will say: Thank you, She-ra. This show has brought me to tears more times than I can count.

It's simple! Each season will be its own prompt, and everyone who wishes to participate can create their own piece to express their love for the show. In the five weeks before the show is removed from Netflix, we will post our pieces onto social media under the hashtag #ThankYouSheRa. No formal sign ups; just hop aboard and create!

Absolutely any medium is allowed for this event: writing, digital/traditional art, AMVs, edits, songs—you name it! Make an episode poster, write or draw a "What If" scenario, make that dramatic edit that's been sitting in your head forever! These are just a few ideas you can run with!

I understand the short time period might be a bit overwhelming, so if you cannot make anything in that timeframe or you simply don't consider yourself on the creative side, post a message expressing your connection to the show. Talk about your favorite episode, scene, character(s), or simply what the show means to you. You can even thank ND Stevenson and the crew directly for creating the show! They very much deserve it.
