Tarryn & Brandons wedding is one I will never forget. So many amazing elements. They both work in the mortuary industry so the till death theme was very fitting. They had their ceremony at midnight and it was performed by the grim reaper. Their getaway car was a hearse. They performed the beetleguise table performance at their head table with their bridal party. They wore skeleton masks. And they were the most adoringly in love couple. It’s always such a great feeling to see something come to life that you imagined in your head. When I first saw that house in Joshua Tree, this greenhouse room is what hooked me. The rest of the house topped it all off but I knew I wanted to shoot in this room. I had a vision of a night shoot with steam and fog, and that was really my only vision for the whole weekend. When we arrived, Berlynn showed us all of the outfits she brought and this one was perfect. It had a bridal element to it and was going to work perfectly. We got drunk and all helped do her makeup (well Jesse watched and ate popcorn) but we all pitched in and made it happen. Alta kneeled on the ground to spray the fog which didn’t really work out. But we had fun, laughed, got cactus stuck on ourselves, and made some magic. I’ll always remember this night when I see these photos and how fun it can be to create something different. You should have seen the way this veil looked after we were done shooting. Thankfully I was able to wash it and will use it again for shoots in the future. Destiny was such a trooper getting in the water. Who wants to go get married at the Hot Springs? Summer is not the time though, and not just because of the heat. Big horseflys that dive bomb, yikes. Yesterday was so much fun. Thank you to @our_joyful_adventures for being such amazing models. Tristen even did her hair and makeup herself and totally nailed it. Greengale is a fairly new location in Las Vegas and I have been wanting to shoot there to show it off to all my followers and couples. Super excited to share this shoot today. Tammy with @wildnomadflowerco contacted me back in 2019 about photographing her new flower truck business. She was getting the vw bus re done and fancified. Then covid hit and we have been waiting over a year. I was thrilled when she messaged me that the truck was done and she was ready to start. @littlepartygirlco made the cutest balloons to adorn the truck for it’s debut. This adorably cool flower truck is going to be available for all kinds of fun things. Time of day is an important thing to consider when choosing the time for photos. I shoot in front of the El Cortez often, unless it is cloudy, it only has even lighting the last 30-60 minutes of sun. Typically the top half of the building will be in direct sun and the bottom in shade.
