What they told us: Bellamy Blake in season 5 is much more rationale. He’s learned to use his head and not make rash decisions.
What we got: Bellamy Blake following a random kid into the forest to save his wife from the big bad guys with no back up and armed with nothing more than a coffee mug and his dramatics.

30 Days of Poetry: Day 8
I hate the way because whenever I end up with it. you never wash your it smells so much like you. sweatshirt. and I want to bury myself in your scent.
I detest the way because you could be so much you slouch over ever taller and prouder so slightly. if you stood a little straighter.
I don’t like the way your face is so nice your hair falls with the smatter of freckles on your nose and hides your face. it seems like a shame to hide it away
I hate the quiet tilt of your voice and the way you say my name.
I love, the way your eyes sparkle the way your lashes curl. the ink that stains your hand, the way you stare at me the way you smile. the false hope you place in me.
For everything I hate, there are two things I absolutely adore.
30 Days of Poetry: Day 7
In a few years, you will disappear from my life. It’s impossible to see what I will be without your company.
Your hair, your eyes, your reluctant touch and the way our knees bump under the table.
I’m moving on, I’m charging forward Still, I find myself turning around to see if you’re behind to catch me when I fall and you won’t be.
and you won’t be.
30 Days of Poetry: Day 6
One day, I was at school and I broke my shoe. The strap of the sandal snapped, and I didn’t know what to do.
Most young kids, would call their parents and have them bring another pair of shoes.
Not me, I never thought, to call my parents. Instead, I got some glue, and fixed my shoe.
I have parents that love me, I’m sure they do. But I cannot rely on them, I have been made independent, by my own pseudo-abandonment.
slap some glue, on your shoe, catch the bus home. I know what to do.
tomorrow is a new day, a new battleground, another broken shoe to face.
30 Days of Poetry: Day 6
I walked through a storm. I stepped out into the wind, that beat against the brown of my skin and raged through the chill.
I walked through a storm. I stepped over the rubble, in my high heeled shoe, and wiped the rain, off my flawlessly made face.
I walked through a storm, I stood up tall and when you begged me to return, I did not.
I walked through the eye. I did not give pause, when I heard your torrid cry. I kept moving on.
I walked through the storm, I faced the wind, the leaves, the rain, the rubble, and trees, The destruction around me.
I came out the other side to face the sun. Hoping you would follow me, knowing you would not.
30 Days of Poetry: day 5
October Rain
Late October rain chills the soul in a new way, it makes the world cold.
This is not the kind of rain, that you dance, in sweet romance or prance in summer.
This is not soft, nor slow and sweet, This is not a wistful mist, that settles over me.
Late October rain, is unbearably angry. It is lashing down upon the cold ground.
Late October rain, spreads its fury. This kind of rain, is filled with rage and pain that’s been building slowly.
Late October rain, is a lot like me. creeping up slowly, and deadly.
You will not see the clouds approaching. You will not feel, me stifling.
You will barely notice, my change in demeanor. You will barely register when the first drops fall.
Then all of a sudden, there’ll be a crash and down upon the earth, will rain my wrath.
Careful where you step, don’t anger me. for you will never see, what’s brewing inside me.
30 Days of Poetry: Day 4
I met an old friend today at a crossroads we were. she told me of her adventures, I told her of my growth.
Once we were like sisters, Now, she has formed a life of her own, tying her strings to people, I vaguely know.
It is quite alright though, these separate lives we lead, are a sign we are growing wise. She continued down her own path, as will I, on my own.
She is made from dreams, of tall towers and cities. She is crafted from Paris, and hand delivered to me.
My dreams were quite contented, I ran amock and free. I, too, tied my strings. I got to see what I wanted to be.
She gave me temporary happiness, showed me a distant world. She freed me from my cage and took me for a twirl.
Now I must find my own way, tie my own strings. I’ll find her at a crossroads again someday, I, too, am someone else’s dream.
Jupiter
We are old gods, the stuff of legends and archeology. We ruled the world and ruined our world.
We stood atop a mountain, and commanded an ancient people. Like Antony and Cleopatra, like Selene and Juba, like Caesar and Julia.
The world was a toy, that we played with, as childlike joy escaped our laughter. Ignorant to the castle we built out of ice.
Arrogance like the Gods, confident our love would survive. In a cracked and crumbling world. The ice was melting, and we thought it was rain.
Mighty Titans, we were, Gaia and Jupiter from different worlds, but tied together with thin strings. A distant tale.
I am the earth, and you loved me like I hung the moon. The moon was not mine to keep. You did not see the flowers I grew, instead.
You were from stars, wanting to return How dare I keep you down. Your breath was a nebula, against my petal-soft skin.
Our fall was spectacular, as the sky fell upon, the heads of mere mortals. We were thunder and clouds, caring not for the destruction we caused.
You have gone home now, to your lovely house among the stars. You left me behind, to fix what’s left of this earth, and make sure the sun rises in the morning. but you’re waiting.
You are not at rest in the ground, you are above my head, and I have learned a terrible lesson in pretending to be a god, and toying with a real one.
Our kingdom is no longer, it crumbled with you. it is in a storybook somewhere. and I have returned to my life, but that does not mean,
I did not live the greatest love story of all time.
30 Days of Poetry: Day 3
I am not so starved for affection or attention, that I will sell my soul for one chaste kiss.
I am not so weak and needing for attention, that I will give you the emotional dependency that you so viciously seek.
Do not search for my holes and insecurities for I do not bare them so easily. Do not demand from me more than you seek.
I am not quick to forgive, I do not easily forget. Burn me, and I’ll sear you, In my head, replace your memory.
I do little out of spite, I am not interested in revenge but that does not mean, I will not bite.
I can be kind, I can be cruel, One thing you will never see me as is weak.
