Outfit of the Day: Denim, purple and neon
This is another one of the shots I did with Studio KOVO’s Kate van Onselen in Durban a while ago. I love how well the purple and the neon yellow go together! The nude shoes and dark lippie rounded off the outfit really well. The skirt is from Cotton On and the denim shirt, neon yellow bralet, and neon jewellery are all from Mr Price.

Red Carpet Report: Met Ball 2013 - Punk: Chaos to Couture
WOW!!! I loved the red carpet for the 2013 Met Ball last night. The theme, Punk: Chaos to Couture, allowed for all the celebs to embrace their inner punk and dress more daringly than ever before! This has been one of my fave red carpets to have a look at. I couldn't even put all of my fave looks as there were too many! Have a look at a long list of stunning fashion below:
Diane Kruger is wearing a Chanel Haute Couture dress and Jacob & Co. jewellery.
Anne Hathaway wore a vintage Valentino dress from 1992.
Rita Ora looked lovely in a custom Thakoon dress with a Thakoon necklace, Cartier jewellery, and Nicholas Kirkwood shoes.
Cara Delevingne wore a custom Burberry dress.
Sienna Miller wore a Burberry crêpe open-back plunging dress with crystal and stud embellishment, studded cropped biker jacket, clutch bag and shoes.
Katy Perry went with her latest go-to designer, Dolce & Gabanna.
Blake Lively wore a Gucci Première pale green silk georgette strapless gown with silver and matte black feather motif embroideries. The skirt features layers of black organza that cascade into a dramatic train.

Julianne Hough donned a Topshop dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, a Calvin Klein clutch, and Jacob & Co. jewelry.
Taylor Swift rocked a J Mendel dress and clutch, Givenchy shoes, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels to the big star-studded evening.
Stacy Keibler looked glam in a Rachel Roy dress with Jacob & Co.jewels.

Outfit: Monochrome
Monochrome is one of my favourite trends right now. And it's so easy to achieve! Just pick items from your wardrobe in black and white - done! I really like using a black and white print to make the ensemble look more interesting, I advise on stripes, polka dots, hounds tooth, herringbone, or animal prints (think zebra).

Outfit of the Day: Lace, denim and neon
This is another one of the shots I did with Studio KOVO's Kate van Onselen in Durban a while ago. We called this look "Pretty Playful" which I think is very fitting. I took a Mr Price white lace dress and added a denim cut off shirt and lacey socks from Primark so make it look trendy and whimsical, I then added 2 items of neon yellow Mr Price jewellery to make the outfit pop. I love neon yellow and denim together!

The post-’90s resurgence of high-waisted denim has been going on for a while now. While skinny styles are the easiest to find, a looser fit with a more extreme high waist–aka the mom jean–definitely still has its appeal. However, they’re usually either vintage or just called “high waisted jeans.”
Enter Topshop, who always seems to know exactly what we want when it comes to trendy clothing. And apparently, what we want is mom jeans–literally.
Browsing the Manhattan location this past weekend, I spotted the perfect pair of super-high waisted jeans that actually looked comfortable and not skin-tight. Intrigued, I got closer, looked at the tag and lol’d upon seeing the word MOM in all caps.
Yep, for $65, you can channel your mom (just in time for Mother’s Day!) with Topshop’s “Moto Bleach Acid Mom Jeans.” They also come in a washed out black.
I’m not making fun though–I tried them on and loved everything about them–the ultra high waist, the pale blue color, the cropped length, and the overall Saved by the Bell-ness. And now I own them and am honestly having a hard time not wearing them every single day. Who knew I’d love bein’ a mom so much?
Elle Fanning loves it, too. “Even now, I won’t wear the skinny-jeans style, because most people wear those—they have to be baggier, boyfriend-looking, or sort of like a mom jean,” she told New York. “I’m real funny that way.”
We’re funny that way too, Elle. For spring, I’ll wear these momz with ballet flats or black pumps to dress them up. For fall, I plan to channel Keri Russel’s character Elizabeth (an actual mom in the ’80s) in The Americans and pair them with preppy white sneakers and a fair isle sweater.

Outfit post: Camo with love
Since camo is all the rage at the moment, I had some fun with styling different outfits around these amazing military-inspired pants I got from Cotton On. I looked everywhere for an affordable and well-fitting pair of camo pants and Cotton On was spot on, they were only R400! I decided to go a bit sporty in this look, adding a sweatshirt and sneakers and pulling my hair into a pony. I will be showcasing more looks with these camo pants in a few weeks and on Style Scoop - keep an eye out!

Fab find: Styling App - Netrobe
This could just be the most amazing thing I've ever heard exists! I am so looking forward to using this the next time I do a styling job :)
Netrobe (free app) helps you plan and organise your closet. If you have heaps of clothing but struggle to find outfits from the labyrinth that is your closet, Netrobe is the perfect app to ‘virtually’ sort out your clothing. People can take pictures of all clothing items they have and digitally organize their attire into categories, such as dresses, pants, accessories etc. as well as evening wear, beachwear and so forth. This app also features a style-board that lets you style outfits from different items in your directory. Netrobe helps you plan outfits on the go and save them as well as keeps track of your ‘worn history’. This is a nifty app for people on the move and who travel often.
Are you keen to try it out??
Outfit post: Touch of Leopard
This outfit is perfect for a day that still holds on to the last strands of Summer, unlike today.

Outfit post: Houndstooth and Neon
Here's my first outfit post, more to come ;)
My friend Rose and I went to the Zoo Lake area and took a few photos. She's a really fun friend and a great photographer too. Her details are at the bottom of this post.
I love adding a pop of colour to a monochrome outfit, the black bra under the neon top also helps bring through the monochrome element and add a bit of sass.

Cara Delevingne X Melissa X Karl Lagerfeld
Words from marieclaire.co.uk:
Cara Delevingne can add another high profile shoot to her already bumper CV, as she teams up with Karl Lagerfeld for a magazine spread to mark his collaboration with shoe brand Melissa. The model-of-the-moment turns sexy dominatrix in the fetish-inspired images, which were shot by the Chanel designer himself, to promote the range in the Brazilian label's own magazine, Plastic Dreams.
Looking sexy in a black PVC dress with lace-up sides, fishnet tights and long gloves in one image, Cara poses alongside a white harp with one of the ice cream cone shoes from the collection perched on top. In another, the British catwalk star wears a long-sleeved knitted dress accessorised with the line's 'Ginga' shoes and a superhero-inspired mask whilst sitting on a metal bar.
Lagerfeld said of the collaboration: 'I had never worked with plastic in this way before. It’s not the classic technique, I am used to working with more traditional techniques for Fendi, Chanel and Lagerfeld shoes. My inspiration was the native country of the brand, celebrating the Brazilian joie de vivre.'
The designer has signed up for a four-season deal with the shoe brand, which also counts Vivienne Westwood and Jason Wu amongst its star collaborators.
Here's one of the looks I styled for a fashion shoot I did with Studio KOVO.
