His eyes got even wider as Jane smack his forehead. A mare human scaring the hell of the Sorcerer Supreme. There was a lesson to be learnt there, but right now Stephen could not quite picture it. He rubbed his forehead, where it had be hit, and kept holding the book on his other hand.

“I’m no amateur. I’ve treated them. Wong helped me an–” - before he could finish his sentence she was pointing to the solution she took out of her kit. Why was she caring those things around in the first place? Stephen rolled his eyes, deciding that he had already contradicted her enough for a life time. Better not to call out the range of a young lady. He sat back on his chair shaking his head. - “I need to track this energy, and find out we is trying to summon this entity.”

He continued rambling on mostly to himself as he sat down.

Jane carefully addressed Stephen’s feet, uncovering them with only minor sticking and difficulty. The Skin was a skin will be an intense red color, slightly a splotchy. Jane made an irritated clicking sound with her tongue as she noted that some of the boils that the bottom of the feet had burst. She laid out a sheep from her bag on what used to be her own chair and man handled Stephen’s feet into it. “Burn straight through your epidermis and into your damn dermis.” I wasn’t the worst second degree burn she had seen in her career but still. Stephen was an idiot. The man could float why the hell had be been walking on his feet. “We were at a hospital, we could of gotten you a perception for Silvadene Cream but no. You had to stay quiet about your second degree burns all over your feet.” she muttered, more to herself, knowing Stephen most likely wasn’t listening to her as she cleaned and then wrapped the feet in her nonstick antibiotic-infused burn bandages.

“And how to we track his energy?” She asked raising her voice to hopefully grab his attention.

Stephen was truly cared away for his thoughts, to the point that she didn’t hear Jane approaching, he just felt some sort of shiver going up and down his spine as she nurse-voiced on his direction. His eyes slightly widen as he looked at her briefly before continue reading.

“For Hoggoth sake, Jane. This is something really important, much more important than a couple of wounds.” - he said shaking his head and flipping a couple of pages, making a mental note to be more careful around her, that lady could not be fooled. - “It’s nothing I can’t handle. But if I don’t hurry, this kids might not have a chance to get better.”

“A couple off-” Jane through her arms up into the air. No. Nope. This wasn’t happening again. She gave Stephen a light smack on his forehead. “For god’s or whoever’s sake sit down while you flip through that tomb and let me look at your damn feet, Stephen.” This was ridiculous. Matt and the other was bad enough but Stephen had medical training, he should know better. Jane marched off to her bag, she had some burn dressings in her first aid kit. Hopefully he had at least washed the area. Really, some people where just idiots.

“You take care of the kids and I’ll take care of you. How about that? You blind to the world anyways while you are reading.” She added gesturing as she started to pull items out of her kit.

He got lost on the letter of the ancient book, he did hear her question, but he hadn’t all the answers just yet. Gods were powerful beings, and he had sensed the presence of more than one of them around lately. Something was happening on Earth, but he could not tell what was it. All he could say was that off, strange things were happening to often. Like Deities breaking interdepartmental barriers. But how was that even possible? It didn’t make sense. His brain took some time to connect the dots. He slowly moved his eyes from the book back to Jane.

“That’s it. There is someone on this side that wants this entity back! You’re a genius Jane Foster.” - he stood up in a hurry. Of course, this hurt as hell considering his injured feet. He was just so exited that he forgot about it for a moment. He moved to a book shelf near by and started to look at the books names. Looking for something else.

Jane started as Stephen shot up. She wasn’t really sure what she said but apparently Stephen got it. “Someone on this--” Jane stopped herself short, her eyes narrowing. She put down her not book and walked over the where Stephen was focused on scouring the book titles. Slightly pinched brow, noticeable paling of the skin, slight micro-expressions and winces when shifting weight. Jane crossed her arms “Stephen.” she said, adopting her nurse tone. “Is there something you forgot to mention to me?” She asked, disapproval lacing her voice. They had been over this. If Stephen didn’t take care of themselves they wouldn’t be able to help the kids. “Maybe something deal with your run in with a fire-y face in a dream dimension?”
