how i curl doll hair with pipe cleaners
so @trufflesmushroom wanted a guide on how i do it so here I am
First grab a length of pipe cleaner and fold it in half, twisting a loop at the halfway point
Place your hair in, i do it closer to the roots so i can pull the pipecleaner downwards and twist the loose ends together, making sure not the bunch up the hair and to keep the hair as flat as possible. You can use paper towels to wrap the ends of the hair so you can get a smoother curl at the end
After you tightly rolled up the curl, use the loose ends off the pipercleaner to hold the hair in place. I sometimes fold, I sometimes twist the ends, anything to hold it in place. I also fold up the looped end up to stop the hair escaping from that side.
Anyway if you’re curling Saran, I highly recommend just leaving the doll sitting in the mug of boiled water until it cools down cuz the longer exposure to heat helps it set better than if you just dunk it a couple times.
