Re(f)use, an exhibit by @trianglebookarts opens TODAY! ✨ Opening reception next Friday 2/2 ✨ If you're in the Raleigh area, do check it out. As the show organizer I'm proud to see the work of the past two years come to fruition. 📚 32 artists, over 40 individual book art works!

We filmed a segment about Charlotte Smith and her miniature book collection  with NBC Nightly News yesterday. Greg Prickman, Head of Special Collections, Colleen Theisen, Outreach & Engagement Librarian, and Bethany Kleunder, student in the School of Library and Information Science were all interviewed. Don’t know the air date yet. We’ll update when we know!

In the nick of time, my contribution for the #areyoubookenough challenge for April. The theme was Nature Walk and this woodland fairy was an idea I've had in my sketchbook for a while and is cousin to two other book creatures (a bird and a mysterious unnamed biped) wayyy back in my feed. Her head was my recently found item and the leaves were foraged last year; her wings are pages made from handmade leaf inclusion paper and a section of map from a memorable hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
