I used to be in the Hazbin fandom and I had three ocs for that who I loved very dearly - recently, I've actually made an original story for them!

Knights of Guinevere mini-theory

So, GLITCH has just teased their first voyage into the realm of 2D animation, Knights of Guinevere! And it’s a sci-fi psychological thriller created by the Dana Terrace? Safe to say, I’m excited for the pilot to drop later this year!

But in all this excited buzz, I haven’t seen many people speculating on what this story could potentially be about just yet. So, with what little information we have, I’m gonna try and take a crack at it!

In a teaser image GLITCH released the day before, they showed a wall of dilapidated posters advertising meeting the Princess (presumably the title character, Guinevere) at a place called Park Planet. I’m guessing that this place is a sort of amusement park like DisneyLand or Universal Studios, where you can have meet and greets with some of the mascots. The posters being torn up and graffitied over could also mean that Park Planet’s probably been losing favor over time, and as to why, I have no idea yet, but deeply earth-destroying pollution is my best guess for now, based on the blue lungs poster.

Now we move on to the teaser itself, which shows us Guinevere sleeping peacefully on a stone bed surrounded by flowers and all her cute little fairytale friends, and when she starts to stir, it cuts to a very messed up amalgamation of a person, with doll like limbs and tentacles where a right arm would be, screaming and flailing as she starts wake up strapped down to an operating table, with the people around her trying (and most likely failing miserably, due to all the screams) to keep her down. We cut back to the princess waking up in her happy world, smiling as screams are still heard in the distance, before cutting to the title card.

So, what could this actually mean for a potential story? Well, I think that the Princess Guinevere and the mystery experiment woman are one and the same. Maybe the stellar folks at Park Planet were looking for a way to drum up some attention from the public, something to “wow” them. And what better way to garner attention than to create a living version of your iconic mascot, something that has certainly never gone wrong ever?!

To get this to work effectively, they might’ve inserted artificial memories/perceptions into the real Guinevere’s head of her more cutesy reality and self, then put her in a deep sleep and got to work making her just right for the public. But, for some reason, this failed, and she started waking up long before they were finished, yet still retains her idyllic fairytale perception of the world, and probably doesn’t realize what’s happening just yet. Maybe as time goes on, it’ll tackle Guinevere grappling with the happy reality she knows vs. the tragic and painful reality she’s living, and how she learns to deal with it.

But who knows? I could be wildly off base, but in the meantime, all we can do is speculate as we wait for the pilot’s release, and support Dana and her wonderful team.

And notice the potato doesn’t guilt you with “if you don’t, something horrible will happen.” Potato wouldn’t betray you like that, because potato is a refined person of good humor and character, and understands that, sometimes, a visit to your dashboard just isn’t convenient right now. Sometimes you just went on a fandom gif reblogging spree or your energy is low, you do not have the time to make your dashboard suitable to guests, and a polite visit just isn’t in the cards. Potato understands this, and doesn’t get upset, or gods forbid, throws a tantrum and wishes ill on your household. I’m jus gonna say this here, but to everyone who is genuinely acting like MatPat publicly acknowledging Welcome Home is him purposefully trying to wreck Clown’s mental state, sending in his fans to destroy the community, and is going to permanently tarnish the reputation of the project just by association, here’s a tip: CHILL THE FUCK OUT. HARASSING/SHITTING ON HIM IS NOT COOL, NO MATTER HOW DUMB HIS BASE REACTIONS SOUND TO YOU, NOR IS HE TRYING TO DESTROY THE FANDOM OR CLOWN’S MENTAL STATE OR MOTIVATION FOR CONTINUING WELCOME HOME WITH AUDIENCE INFLUX.

Welcome Home’s Current Gatekeeping Issue

I’m not really one to make long winded essays on stuff, but I feel like this one needs to be addressed (if my thoughts seem incoherent and rambleish, I am currently writing this at 2 A.M., so if my points come off as confusing, it’s probably sleep deprivation). With MatPat’s current release of his livestream covering Welcome Home, the collective fandom as a whole has been swarming to his video to preach the creator’s boundaries/slander him for even breathing near the project, which has made a lot more issues within the community prevalent, most notably: gatekeeping.

Recently, Clown has been taking a break from the project and social media, due to the sudden boom of popularity surrounding the project, as well as issues with his personal boundaries regarding it, such as NSFW work being made of his characters. The fandom as a whole, has seemingly taken this message to heart, and are doing their best to make sure those boundaries are respected.

Now, this in itself isn’t too much of an issue, But what IS an issue is how most people are going about it. Clown himself stated that he doesn’t want people going around policing people on his behalf, and yet most fans are going around screaming in anyone and everyone’s face and are completely willing to bite off any heads of anyone with a high enough social platform that even speaks of the project(See MatPat), as well as pretty much size up any and all fans post Clown’s Announcement.

I know I made a post joking about how MatPat found out about Welcome Home and the end is nigh and stuff, but, guys, listen to this: MATPAT MAKING A VIDEO ABOUT WELCOME HOME ISN’T HIM HARASSING THE CREATOR, NOR IS IT IMPEDING ANYONE WHO JOINS THE FANDOM POST BREAK ANNOUNCEMENT. Yes, he’s a big creator covering what was a small art project turned online success, which can be stressful, considering that the creator was already stressed from Nightwing bringing attention to it, but calling him and his fans roaches and treating them like hellspawns for even engaging with it is a bit overkill. I know, MatPat ‘s judgements seem a little silly, and we all want to make sure Clown can recover peacefully, but none of what MatPat does is breaching any of Clown’s boundaries. He just made a video, like everyone else, plain and simple. Going around slapping anyone who makes a video on it/new fans with rules and regulations, and acting like them interacting with the media is toxic and impeding on Clown’s rights comes across as telling people, “IF YOU SO MUCH AS BREATHE NEAR THIS MATERIAL, YOU ARE A TOXIC, INVASIVE ASSHOLE!!! CLOWN IS STRESSED, SO IF YOU WANT TO HELP THEM, GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE, AND NEVER SPEAK OF THIS PROJECT AGAIN!!!” Which will alienate people from the project altogether, and also give Clown and the Fandom as a whole a reputation of Oversensitive Pussy who can’t handle having his work out on public platforms and their EchoChambering White Knights who coddle him like he’s a toddler. Clown himself has stated that the attention itself isn’t a bad thing, just overwhelming.

This project means a lot to people, and I know we just want to make sure Clown is okay, but instead of yelling in people’s faces on what they should and shouldn’t do, we should just try to make sure that we follow these rules, with the occasional gentle reminder to anyone breaking them, instead of policing people who didn’t even do anything wrong, which isn’t what Clown wanted.

Okay, is it just me or is the way Bendy’s described always wildly inaccurate compared to how he actually is when shown?

Like, they keep on describing him as a mischievous little twerp, always stirring up trouble, but in the official shorts and BATDR, he acts more like a timid child. Literally, the only time where the whole “mischievous” label actually fits is in the Crack-Up Comics Collection.
