I will forever maintain that writing e^Ïi + 1 = 0 is the mathematical equivalent of putting ketchup on wagyu beef.
e^Ïi = -1 is beautiful and geometric and nice why would you obscure the actual meaning by rewriting it as e^Ïi + 1 = 0 just to forcefully cram some extra numbers you like in there!! you're hurting the equation please stop!!!
e^Ïi = -1 -> "hiiii! we're the complex numbers! we're an incredibly nice and simple way to encode rotations, and euclidean isometries in general! join us in our beautiful world of geometry! we love you!!! ^v^"
e^Ïi + 1 = 0 -> "hey so uhhh did you know that. if you take the unit circle and shift it one to the right then it will be centered at one. and go through zero. waow"
Better yet, show the whole underlying correspondence: e^αi = sin(α)+i*cos(α) = (1,α) (in radial coordinates)
I have already depicted myself as the nimble mountain goat and you as the blundering overturned car
My excellent well-thought-out plan for embettering society:
Disenfranchise a demographic group (it's okay; a lot of them are Bad)
???
look how much fairer and juster our society is now
how it feels to get the short end of the stick by some double standard in exactly the same way you predicted would happen two hours prior
i think this is my magnum opus idk how i can top this
this would be a killer noun phrase to include in the title of a light novel that takes place in some extremely distorted version of the mtg multiverse. something like:
Man who hates the very concept of life and all living beings: I should design portal websites for colleges and job applications

âour age of bronze is collapsingâ is this beautiful random burst of monty python dialogue amidst the drudgery of nolanâs vision and i think it should win the first-ever oscar for best solitary line
[wringing my hands as i look out my window directly overlooking wall street, watching the sun rise on october 29, 1929] aw fuck itâs the great depression
I was reading Emily Wilson's criticism of the movie and when I got to the part where the line was mentioned I had to take a moment to be like "What? what?! they say that in the movie!? they weren't calling it the bronze age exactly were they now??! what on earth?!? why?!" before I could continue to read
girl who narrates everything happening in her Dwarf Fortress world in a really good impression of David Attenborough: "While he doesn't know it yet, this dwarf is about to make what will be the last mistake in his life..."
other girl on the bed: "I'm starting to think when you invited me to 'special fun time in your bedroom' you had something different in mind than what I did"
girl 1: "huh?"
girl 2 (lightly mockingly): "This young female is searching for a mate... but her best efforts to attract one will go unrecognized..."
the huge dragon that has somehow been watching both from an unseen vantage point the entire time: "... EXCEPT BY AN UNWELCOME AUDIENCE..." (devours girl 2 whole. girl 1 does not seem to be fazed and continues navigating designation menus)
[long pause]
girl 1: "I'd be more angry about this, but it's hard because you finished off the bit really cleanly."
dragon: "Thanks; I do my best."

I think leftists need to refer to the United States as a slave (nation) state more often. It has one of the highest prison populations per capita of any nation, slavery is legal as punishment for a crime, and Black people are disproportionately imprisoned and given longer sentences. The prison industrial complex is modern-day slavery
I can't believe home depot literally produced a wildly successful science fiction musical and we all just pretend it didn't happen. on one hand yes it had a boring white guy main character but like.... home depot just... Made it? And it had shit ton of box office sales? and no one even talks about this. this is like avatar (2009) all over again
OK so. After a lot of frantic googling I realized this was all a dream. home depot did not in fact produce a wildly successful science fiction musical. I was on allergy meds and took a nap and my brain simply prophesized this. slightly disappointed because I wanted to watch it.
