not to sound like an asshole, but theres no way capcom wants the code veronica remake based off of a game that came out decades ago to actually stand on its own legs. they have proven they would rather retrofit new characters into the decades old foundation (with the best and most egregious example being having miranda be the one to inspire oswell spencer to create umbrella in the first place) than actually strengthen the original stories they already had.

The frist time they go out together some random points out how much she looks like both of them.

When they get back home, the frist thing Manuela does is get in front of a mirror, Leon joins her right after and they stay there for a solid minute, when Krauser comes to check, he sees Manuela staring at the mirror with the most terrifying scowl on her face.

Leon:"Yeah yeah, you have both similar eye colors... and the same death glare."

Krauser:"And you both have both similar silly emo bangs... and the same attitude."

i was talking about this on my server earlier but i really think "cozy" is one of the worst genre labels out there in the gaming space. like people dunk on the terms "metroidvania" and "first person shooter" a lot for being uncreative or limiting but at least those are like... falsifiable descriptors. you can look at a game and go "yeah this game's mechanics and core gameplay loop generally operate like metroid/castlevania" or "yeah this game primarily uses a first person camera paired with some sort of projectile weapon" so i don't think they're completely useless. but "cozy" is just nonsense. fully subjective. i see a lot of games popularly labeled as "cozy" that share almost zero mechanical features between them and don't even always match in tone or aesthetic. hearing a game described as "cozy" doesn't tell you anything about what to expect as a player beyond maybe giving you a sort of forewarning about the fanbase and their discomfort tolerance. "cozy" is not a quantifiable metric. like imagine if someone offered to buy you takeout and asked you what kind of food you'd like and you told them fully unironically, and with no further elaboration, "i want to get yummy food." that's what hearing "cozy games" sounds like to me

i don’t think Lady dmc would or should ever have a child. ever. i am not a fan of the ‘yay happy ending relationship Lady settles down and HAS A CHILD!’ concept.

i really do think people overestimate her ability to be a parent purely because she’s a woman. a child is the worst thing you could give her, which is why i’m not a fan of dmc fans who are upset she never got into a relationship with Dante and/or ‘settled down’. she has bigger issues. creating a family isn’t even in the realm of priorities.

dmc is the worst possible franchise to attempt to positively emulate a nuclear/‘ideal’ family structure in. truly.
