i get the feeling people want to hate on abusers more than they want to support and help survivors
i don't know if i can explain this well but as a survivor seeing people say they wish zverev won't win a slam 20 times per day quite honestly means nothing, i understand why people don't want that to happen, i don't either of course, but it doesn't really change much. the problem is he's playing at all, the problem is he's hurt women and never faced consequences and him winning a slam wouldn't make that any more or less true. what i would like people to do in the face of all this is denounce the complicity of the atp and also try and turn the anger you have towards zverev into a drive to help survivors around you and to make every space you're in a safer one for survivors. that makes a tangible difference.
re8 isn't a real resident evil game. chris redfield just happens to be there for a second.
this is what I mean about how right now in the united states (won't speak for elsewhere but feel free to lmk in the notes if you'd like) a lot of us trans adults who are able to access transition care can only do so at the direct expense of trans minors. this clinic would not have opened if they held the line and offered equal access to healthcare to trans minors.
"Martin announced the direct-care clinic, calling it “one of the first times a public health department has ever taken that step.” But when Cabán pushed back, pointing out that trans youth are the ones most under attack right now—noting that there are “almost no providers” left for youth the entire city—Martin indicated the clinic would not serve youth, citing the need to “strike a balance” between providing care and avoiding “clawbacks from the federal government.” This morning, EITM can directly confirm that the age cutoff is 19—matching the Trump administration’s executive order threshold, not the standard legal age of adulthood in New York."
a lot of the structural transphobia we are experiencing is hitting minors even worse. their care gets banned first. if you want a preview of what access to healthcare will look like for us trans adults in 2 years, look at what access looks like for legal minors right now.
please have the compassion to show them solidarity now. do for them what you hope a cis person will do for us. like at the very least, talk about it.
Saw this mod and had to draw it
Fandom will see a female character going through turmoil and trauma and think “How can we make this about how a man feels?”
i hate how suicide is framed as selfish. lets deem the people struggling the most as self centered assholes for daring to be pushed to a point where death feels like their only option. you cant be serious
"if you're not nice or useful its a good thing to kill yourself" Are you fucking kidding me. Do you hear yourself
resident evil fandom becoming like 70% ppl who wanna fuck leon that barely even play the games if at all has been about as fun as dumping hydrofluoric acid in your lap sorry. enough is enough
Nigerian Pride 🏳️🌈🇳🇬
I meant to have this out yesterday. Happy belated pride. :)
I'm glad you all like the Nigeria Pride post!
Originally, I went in worried the opposite would happen. Growing up, I've been taught that Nigeria, the country, is homophobic. (I was born in America.) But over time, I learned that there's tons of other queer Nigerians; some are out, and some are in the closet 😭.
I'm also not used to this much attention, lol
Thank you all!
[Image descriptions copied from alt: Image 1: Colored drawing of Nigerian people dressed to represent various pride flags. The Lesbian, (Gay) MLM, Bisexual, Pansexual, Asexual, and Transgender colors are represented in pairs of people. The Nonbinary and Rainbow Gay colors each use one person. A faded Nigerian flag is the background.
Image 2: Colored drawing of a Lesbian couple dressed in Nigerian attire with the flag colors, (Red, oranges, pinks, and white). The two smile at each other.
Image 3: Colored drawing of a Gay couple (two men) dressed in Nigerian attire with the flag colors, (Turquoise, Aquamarine, Blues, and white). They smile at each other, one calm and confident, the other bashful and flustered.
Image 4: Colored drawing of two Trans people dressed in Nigerian attire with the flag colors, (Pink, sky blue, and white). The girl (Right) is dancing and shaking a Shekere (a West African instrument). The boy (Left) dances beside her.
Image 5: Colored drawing of a Nonbinary person dressed in Nigerian attire with the flag colors (Yellow, purple, black and white). They pose elegantly with a cane.

i get why people are skeptical of claims about “rising antisemitism” in a world where a genocidal state is claiming everyone standing up to them is being antisemitic, but the reality is that the average person actually genuinely is being more antisemitic. every comment section on every single post i saw about Holocaust Remembrance Day was like this
israel’s actions ARE causing a rise in antisemitism in the average gentile, because they push the narrative of representing jewish people as a whole, which would make us all culpable for their horrific actions. and even the people who aren’t being antisemitic themselves are certainly more okay with the people around them being antisemitic. it's likely someone you know or are close with believes in some sort of conspiracy about jews running the world or having all the money or controlling the media etc etc. not zionists, not israelis, jews. israel wants jews to believe that everyone hates us and they’re the only safe place for us to exist. as a diaspora jew whose family fled the shoah this is not fucking true and it’s insulting to say that it is, but being a gentile saying this shit only helps israel’s cause because it's what they want us to believe. they want the world to hate jews. don’t fucking fall for it. judaism is not zionism and zionism is not judaism.
