It can only be Aya, the character who made MAX Watanabe himself start using smileys like the one in the image above! ^^
I myself have completed sekirara and I have to say that she was my favorite character in the game!
Max Factory’s :
The fun loving Aya is from the PC game, ‘sekirara’, and she is posed here as a 1/7th scale figure based directly off one of the scenes from the game!
Isn’t she incredible! ((( ;゚Д゚)))
It’s as if the illustration just jumped out as a figure!
This is how she looks from the back!
The sculpting of her hair is absolutely fantastic and really makes it look as if the wind is blowing across her!! The straggling hair at the edges are also lovely!
It looks exactly like the original!!
You really come to realize what an art sculpting is when you see a figure that looks so close to the original illustration. It’s not only the figure sculpting though, the paint work is also outstanding – just look at those beautiful eyes!!
Look at that gap between her thighs!
Her skin looks so soft and squishy! I almost can’t resist trying to put my hand through that gap… they are such voluptuous thighs!
She even looks soft beneath her clothes!
I really can’t hold my hands back any longer, I need to feel it for myself!
The paintwork around her breast area and the best beneath it looks great, and the flowing dress is absolutely beautiful to look at from this angle! In fact, it doesn’t matter what angle you look from, the figure looks well-balanced from any position!
A lot of work also went into her boots!
But that is to be expected! Aya’s boots had such a lovely design, so they had to be recreated in figure form perfectly!!
It’s amazing how the sculpting and painting make it look as if the boots are really made from some kind of leather – just look at the part sticking up just above the brown strap!!
Nope, you just can’t see them!
And as a side note – they are not simply white but in fact have a lovely pattern on them! Although you’ll have to wait and see just what pattern that is for yourself!
So on that note, let’s take a look at this lovely Nendoroid:
From, ‘Waiting in the Summer’:
From the same staff that brought the famous ‘Please Teacher” series comes ‘Waiting in the Summer’, and from that lovely series comes a Nendoroid of the 3rd year high school student, Ichika Takatsuki!
As you can see, she has a stunning body!!
This is how she looks from the back!
Ichika has a sort of layering to her hair, which is recreated in figure form by piling multiple parts up on the hair! It gives the hair a lovely layered appearance!
The tied up part of her hair on the left is also fitted with a joint allowing you to move it back and forward!
Posed brushing her hair back!
The arms can be disconnected at the sleeves of her uniform, so you have a very wide choice of poses. In the picture above she is lifting up her arm, but you could lower her shoulder, or spin the arm around completely for a completely different effect!
She also comes with her suitcase-shaped transmitter!
This also comes with a little bonus, which I’ll show a bit later! (`・ω・´)
An embarrassed face and the ray gun!
She looks very distressed along with embarrassed! She also comes with the ‘ray gun’ they used for shooting a film. You can pose her holding the ray gun looking all embarrassed that she is being filmed!
The two puppets!
These two puppets only ever appeared in the main character, Kaito Kirishima’s delusions – but Ichika comes with them as an extra! They both measure just 3cm in height – so tiny, but still such incredible quality!
You simply need to connect the puppet’s backs onto the bent arms to let her hold them like this!
The suitcase transmitter can open up!
The suitcase-shaped transmission device can be opened up just like it did in the show, and the inside is all carefully sculpted as well – the top even features the green circle.
You can even place the mysterious Rinon inside the case!
Today I’ll be taking a look at two separate Cheerful JAPAN! products that were sold to help relief efforts in the Touhoku region after the tsunami and earthquake last year.
A big thank you to everyone who supported the project!
The 8th product in the Cheerful JAPAN! series:
Nendoroid Saber & Rin Tohsaka : Cheerful ver.!
The eighth product to join the Cheerful JAPAN! project is a set of two Nendoroids of TYPE-MOON’s popular characters – Saber and Rin Tohsaka, both wearing adorable cheerleader outfits, and ready to cheer on for everyone who needs it!

This is how the packaging looks!
You can see hoe nicely the two of them match up just by looking at them in the packaging! They each come with pompons that match their image colors, lazy expressions and sitting parts – plus they also come with a Cheerful JAPAN! banner they hold up together!
This version of Saber features a braided ponytail which is fitted with a Nendoroid joint. Rin’s twintails are also as always fitted with joints allowing for a wide variety of poses from both of them!
Takashi Takeuchi’s illustration of a younger version of the two girls!
Takashi Takeuchi specially drew this illustration for the Cheerful JAPAN! project, and a postcard of the illustration is included with the Nendoroids! A rare bonus indeed!
The Nendoroids can take the exact same pose as the two from the illustration! The postcard can be found between the inner cardboard of the package, so make sure you don’t accidentally throw it away!
Aren’t they just adorable!?
When you put the lazy expression on both of them along with the sitting parts they look too cute next to each other!! It’s so relaxing to look at them!
She comes with a smiling face, an upset face and a face munching on some of her favorite ‘Rocky’ treats! She also comes with a taiyaki so you can really pose her enjoying her favorite foods!
The Rocky (top right of the packaging) just needs to be pushed into the mouth of the once expression part to complete it. It’s a very tiny part so be careful that it doesn’t pop out and get lost when you open it up!
The disjointed spear!
There is only one spear head included, but you simply need to remove it from the straight spear and attach it to the disjointed one to pose her like this instead!
The handle doesn’t connect specifically to any point on the hand, so you are free to move it up and down and at any angle for all sorts of dynamic and epic poses!
All five Puella Magi Nendoroids!
With the release of Kyouko, all five of the Puella Magi Nendoroids will be released! You can finally complete your collection and display them all together like this!
A quick note about Nendoroid Sayaka – there were some problems that caused a limited number to come out of mass production, so you might have had trouble getting hold of her. Rest assured that more stock is on the way, and we apologize for the delay that may have been caused!
From the popular anime series with a movie on the way, ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’ comes a dynamic 1/8th scale of Madoka’s schoolmate and fellow Puella Magi – Mami Tomoe is the famous pose from the key visual!
This is how she looks from the back!
She looks great from the front, but no matter what angle you look at her from it looks amazing! Just look at those lovely thighs! The stand has a rounded circular base just like the previous figures in the series.
Such a lovely and gentle expression!
She has a lovely relaxed expression that suits Mami’s personality perfectly! Tsukki from the manufacturing team has quite some trouble getting the curly blond hair to look like it does – but it seems to have come out perfectly!
Simply wonderful!!
The musket sculpted with 3D data!
Even the final product version has such incredibly intricate detail! Even the tip of of the gun is separated into two tiny sections!
Three of the Puella Magi together!
Plus I’ve switched Homuhomu and Mami-san’s weapons! The weapons are removable from the figures so you can play around like this as well!
Isn’t it lovely to see a set of figures coming together like this! I can’t wait to get hold of the rest of them as well!
The 5th in the Madoka Magica 1/8th scale figure series:
Kyouko Sakura!
From the anime series that received a number of awards in 2011, ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica’ comes a 1/8th scale figure in a lovely dynamic pose of the Puella Magi with a long red ponytail – Kyouko Sakura!
Following on from the previously released Madoka Kaname, Homura Akemi, Mami Tomoe and Sayaka Miki – Kyouko is here to complete the famous key visual that all the poses are based on! Plus afterwards we also have Ultimate Madoka coming up as well!
A dynamic pose holding her spear!
It’s huge!! ((((;゚Д゚))))
Trying to get the entire spear into the photo was quite a task – it’s almost as long as the monitor!! I love the look of adorable characters like Kyouko with huge weapons like this!
For those who are worried about the spear being too long and taking up too much space – don’t worry! There are some replaceable parts that’ll remove that problem that we’ll take a look at later!
Her cute moe fang! (*゚∀゚)=3
It just wouldn’t be Kyouko without that adorable little tooth!! You can see it nice and clearly on the 1/8th scale figure – just looking at that smile makes me feel all warm and happy inside. (*´ω`*)
Look at that lovely ponytail!
The hair is flowing behind her and really compliments the dynamic pose – each and every strand is so detailed! You really need to look at it from a variety of angles to really appreciate how lovely it looks!
Here we have the replaceable parts!
Instead of holding the spear you can instead display her holding her favorite taiyaki as well!
Plus these hand parts have her hand much further backward when compared to the pose with the spear, creating a considerably different feeling to the figure – nice for a change once in a while!
Everything is so detailed!

She has a lovely body-line!
Her lovely ladylike upper body is complimented brilliantly by these thighs that look so very squishy!! I almost can’t resist trying to touch them to see if they feel as soft as they look!
The five Puella Magi!!
Here we have the complete 1/8th scale series together recreating the famous key visual! Having Kyouko really brings the collection together beautifully!
This pose does differ slightly from the original illustration as they are all holding their weapons!
Let’s try a slightly different angle!
I absolutely love seeing all of them together like this, so I had to take another picture! I have the two in the back lifted up slightly higher to create this look, but you could also of course just display them all together in a line!

It somehow makes me really happy to see Good Smile products at the front of a convenience store! Just think how many people will see them as they come by now!!
Sakuma Drops: Character Vocal Series Ver.:
Nendoroid Petite Rubber Strap Included!
What a very long name…
In commemoration of Good Smile Company’s 10th anniversary, the delicious treats, ‘Sakuma Drops’ are joining in collaboration with the Character Vocal Series!
The back introduces the straps!
This back was designed by Daamatsu from the design team! Great work! It’s nice to be able to see what straps might be inside!
Each tin comes in a special casing which you can see above as well – which makes sure the tin itself isn’t damaged at all!
Here is what is inside the case!
The black bag is the rubber strap!
You won’t know which character is inside until you open it! Be very careful when cutting open the black bag that you don’t accidentally cut the strap – there is also a little leaflet about this to remind you!
Who will I get!?
The secret character!!
It really must be my lucky day today!
The secret character is illustrated by CHANxCO!
It’s really magical, so if you like the straps I really think you should aim to her hold of it! There are a total of eight to collect including the secret strap!
Let’s move onto some more details about the product!
There are eight tins in each big box!
You can of course by them one-by-one in Circle K Sunkus stores as well, but if you want a box of eight you can grab it here!
KARUWAZA ONLINE:- working on getting some in our online store!
There are two different tins!
The Nendoroid tin and Nendoroid illustration tin!
The straps are based on the same illustrations used on the tin on the right!
This is the reverse sides!
A wonderful collection of all Crypton’s Vocaloid characters! Plus you can see the Good Smile 10th Anniversary logo on the bottom right!
Even the seal is specially made!
A silver bottom which features the Good Smile Seijin! Even within the company it was praised for being cute!
The seven rubber straps!
You’ll find one of these with each tin you buy! The design on the tin doesn’t change which straps are inside, so don’t worry about that!
Miku Hatsune!
As it’s a collaboration with Sakuma Drops, all the straps are holding Sakuma tins and drops! Each and everyone is an original illustration!
Rin & Len Kagamine!
The two twins are like mirror images of one and another! They look so cute side by side!
Luka Megurine and Snow Miku!
The rubber straps this time around pop-out slightly the center of the outlines. It’s incredible quality for a bonus included with Sakuma Drops!
KAITO and MEIKO!
The manufacturing of the rubber straps were done with help from Overdrive! Thanks guys! They really worked with us to create the straps just how we wanted!

Yep! Today we’ll be looking at a much bigger Madoka than normal! But not only is she big, she’s also posable, makes use of real fabric and is overall just amazing!
Such an important product being revealed on my blog is such an honor! Thank you! Today we’re looking at a product made between lots of figure companies, so the pressure is on to play around to the very best of my ability! ^^
Released by MEDICOM TOY:
REAL ACTION HEROES MGM : Madoka Kaname!
MEDICOM TOY is well known for their Kamen Rider and Ultraman toys, and now they are released ‘REAL ACTION HEROES’, the first of which will be Madoka Kaname. It’s a collaboration between three companies which are shown in the initials ‘MGM’ – MEDICOM TOYS. Good Smile Company and Max Factory!
I was thinking they should be called ‘HEROINES’, rather than ‘HEROES’, but whatever!
This is how she looks from the back!
I have been quite involved with the REAL ACTION HEROES series myself.
Her clothes are made from real fabric!
It’s like closing the gap between the world of figures and dolls! You can love her and pose her just a like a doll!
Her skirt’s frills are simply perfect!
Even as a normal figure these frills were hard to get right, but now with real fabric they look perfect! Plus it’s so soft to the touch!
As a side note, not her entire outfit is made from fabric – areas such as the ribbons and gloves are still made from PVC. It all comes together to really create something that looks just like it jumped out from the anime world!
It’s so much fun to move her around!
You can make all sorts of poses like this one – sitting on the edge of a desk! Madoka’s skirt is really big so she sits nice and securely balancing on it!
There are joints in the shoulders, elbows, hips, thighs, knees, ankles and more – you can really pose her around just like any standard action figure!
Expression parts are also included!
Just like figmas, she comes with replaceable expression parts! Here we have a glaring face for Madoka! She also comes with multiple hand parts – so many options to help you recreate your favorite scenes!
She also has a scared expression!
I’m sure some of you will remember this expression!
The head parts were all made by Max Factory based on the figma designs!
Normally when something is blown-up in size like this the quality suffers, but not when Max Factory is behind the designer’s seat! I believe the face is the most important part of a figure, and Max Factory have made sure that anyone who thinks the same will be impressed with this figure!
Size comparison #1!
Displayed with the 1/8th scale Madoka Kaname!
It’s actually quite a bit larger when you compare them like this. The RAH Madoka measures an amazing 30cm in height!
Size comparison #2!
Displayed with figma Madoka Kaname!
The figma is almost a doll size for the RAH figure! She can sit on her arm with the help of a little double-sided tape!
Released by MEDICOM TOY:
REAL ACTION HEROES MGM : Madoka Kaname!
More info will be up on MEDICOM TOY’s site soon!
Note that this isn’t a product distributed by Good Smile, we just helped with the production! Also watch out in upcoming hobby magazines to see some of the other optional parts she might be coming with!
First things first: you aren't allowed to spoil Fate/Zero in the comments, I haven't watched it yet. That first 45 minutes of high-density fantasy novel exposition hypnotized me into forgetting that there was more of the show to watch. I'm holding you all to a standard, you got that? I can't be told what happens in my cartoons.
So here's the famous Servant Saber as she's seen in the currently airing Fate/Zero prequel series, lookin' smooth and aloof in a black suit. Boy, is she tiny. After last week's deluxe piece it's pretty weird to come back to Figmas!
But it's not just a Figma thing, Saber is just really, really short. It's not something you think about when she's stabbing dudes, but holding a figure brings home all those Nasu descriptions. This is a normal Figma body, except the upper part of the suit is made of soft material and the body is articulated underneath. It's actually quite the same as our very first column with Golgo 13.
The ponytail swivels around on a ball joint in the back of the head so that the stand is never in the way. Nice touch.
For weapons we've got two versions of the Excalibur sword. The first is as we usually see it, under the Invisible Air spell. We can't exactly make a sword invisible and surrounded by swirling winds in real life, so you'll just have to make do with a copy of the Excalibur molded in clear plastic.
For this reason, there's also an effect part that makes it look like Saber is in the middle of a strike. This is more often how we actually see Invisible Air used in the Fate series. The sword slides in. Very nice effect: however, this bit is heavy, isn't held securely in place by anything, and will eventually flop over if you leave it on display.
We also have Excalibur and the Avalon sheath, completing the arsenal. These are molded as separate pieces, Excalibur actually slides into Avalon, and is an extra hand to hold Avalon by itself. Be warned that it doesn't work too well.
Three facial expressions are supplied for Saber, who is really the kind of person who doesn't make a lot of faces. We get neutral, yelling, and a soft smile. A replacement hair piece allows Saber's bangs to blow in the wind as she charges towards the battlefield, or maybe just smiles poigiantly.
That last face is also an extra for the previous, armored Saber Figma, which I'm pretty sure was among the first few releases of the line! A photo on the box indicates that it's definitely supposed to be Saber's expression from the end of one of the stories in Fate/stay night. I don't have that figure (I bought Rin instead), so you're just going to have to settle. The fit on the face feels a little off with this one, like maybe it was made with another figure in mind as well...
As is standard for the Figma line, eight replacement hands are included (on that handy rack!) that allow for a slightly greater variety of expressions from this very stoic character. Mostly, though, they're for holding the weapons.
This is a very competent but also somewhat barebones release: in other words, it is the typical Figma. A couple of accessories, no gimmicks, fifty bucks. It's not like they left anything out, you know? It's just as straightforward and spartan a figure as Saber is a character. Whether this is worth your $50, as usual, depends on your level of affection for the character.
Be aware that Max Factory will be releasing a toy of Saber's bike, the Motored Cuirassier, down the line for this figure to ride on.
As I write this, Saber is sold out at all my usual spots online: I had to preorder months early at Amiami (we paid $50) to get it at all. I wish I could have gotten this review to you guys sooner, but unfortunately that's not the schedule! Happy hunting... but unless you're a huge Type-Moon diehard who must have it, dammit I really don't think this is one worth hunting down and paying a dire markup for online. But I can't think of too many figures in this price range that would be...
Cuter than Casper, Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day's bishoujo ghost Meiko "Menma" Honma is set to join characters from anime like Durarara!! and Panty & Stocking as a high quality Alter figure. According to the figure maker's blog, pre-orders open on Wednesday.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a prototype that is almost the same height as my desk! I remember the Yu-Gi-Oh! dragon being pretty huge, but it is nothing in comparison to the figure we’ll be looking at today!

These figures will be on sale at this event! I’m got to find some private time and go there myself!! ^^
Big, smaller, smallest!
The biggest version is the Giant God Warrior Statue Replica, and its considerably bigger than my monitor! To the right of him is the figma, and then the Vignette version as well!
Giant God Warrior Statue Replica!
He is so big that the lights on the ceiling ended up in the photo as well. A huge 50cm cold-cast statue!
This is a miniature mock-up of a life-size muppet that was used in the film ‘Giant God Warrior Appears in Tokyo’! The life-size version was used for reference and examination while sculpting this smaller replica version!
The sculpting was done by Takayuki Takeya! (`・ω・´)ゞ
What an amazing presence…!!
I really have no idea how to describe it, but once you see it you just can’t look away. I was also stunned at how detailed it was while I was running my finger over it a few seconds ago…
I’m generally more of a fan of cute things, but the sculpting on this is so stunning it’s impossible to not to be impressed!
figma Giant God Warrior!
This is basically the same figure shrunk down to figma size and made just as posable as all other figmas! It’s amazing what kind of poses you can put him into! Plus the price is great!
An optional head part to fire the proton beam!
By the way, this is a 15cm tall figma! The head alone is more than 2cm tall!! An amazing size and stunning quality to boot!!
A rod of light and wing parts!
It might be hard to see from this angle, but the wing span of the wings is actually very big! Plus the wings are just as detailed as the rest of the figure!
You can make use of the figma stand to pose him in mid-air like this, which gives the wing parts that extra bit of realism! I almost want to get a whole bunch of these to line them all up together like this!!
Three different Giant God Warrior Vignettes!
These prototypes literally just arrived! They might be small but they are just as amazing as the other versions! As I mentioned on twitter yesterday, these were the products we were going back and forth with, together with Kaiyodo.
These are in fact Kaiyodo’s products!! (`・ω・´)ゞ
They are about the size of a capsule toy, but they are absolutely fantastic quality! As expected of Kaiyodo!
Today we’ll be playing with this lovely Nendoroid!
From Accel World:
Nendoroid Kuroyukihime!
From the popular anime series Accel World comes a Nendoroid of the beautiful and mysterious vice-president of the student council – Kuroyukihime! She even comes with her beautiful black wings that allow you to pose her in her butterfly form!
Plus, Haruyuki is also included in his cute pink pig form!
This is how she looks from the back!
Those huge butterfly wings are definitely one of the highlights of the figure! The wings look just like a real butterfly’s wing with tiny lines all over them, plus the tips of the wings make use of clear plastic which is absolutely beautiful! She will make use of an arm-type base that will connect through the middle of the wings and into her back.
Her wings cover a lot of her back here, but that by no means that her back is neglected in terms of quality – even without the wings she looks fantastic!
A pouting face with hands on her hips!
Normally Kuroyukihime has a very mature atmosphere about her, but she also gets jealous sometimes and gets this slightly more childish look – isn’t she adorable! Haruyuki’s round piggy body is also lovely!
A smiling face and closed parasol!
Kuroyukihime comes with a lovely parasol that matches her outfit perfectly! You can pose her like the picture above with the specially included arm parts, or you can hand it by the handle from her arm which looks just as cute!
An opened parasol is also included!
Wow! Isn’t she just gorgeous!! I love seeing such impressive optional parts with my Nendoroids!! Just look at the detail on the parasol- from the golden grip to the frills along the edge, plus it really matches her outfit perfectly!
Haruyuki getting some hugs!
Hey! Let me have a turn for hugs too!!
Haruyuki comes with just one head but the two different bodies – you need to switch the head from the standing pose onto this pose!
Snow Miku tries the parasol!
The goth style of the parasol has an fancy look to it that should suit any characters that also wear fancy outfits! If I was any good with repainting I think I’d make a special icy parasol just for Snow Miku!
But even just like this I think it’s more than cute enough – I’m sure it’ll look great with a lot of other Nendoroids as well!
In a move that would surely amuse the not-so-gentlemanly thief himself, Lupin III, along with laconic gunman Daisuke Jigen and femme fatale Fujiko Mine, are set to be reproduced in full-sized (5'5" for Fujiko, 5'9" for Lupin and Jigen), Dive-manufactured figures. Goemon Ishikawa XIII has been left out.
Retailers are taking pre-orders now for the ¥504,000 ($6,310) figures ahead of their July planned release.
