Draws Silverwing fan art for the first time in almost twelve years of a full body goofball lady version of my teenage “Ow the Edge™️” OC in half the time it ever took me to draw torso-up fan art with the specific goal of flexing on seventeen-year-old me because teenage me was a bit of a tool.

Which I will lore-dump about if y’all want but for like 95% of you I’ll probably have to dump twice as much lore just for context cuz, like, I only know one of my mutuals was ever into Silverwing cuz that’s how we met over on DeviantArt. Also have an unfiltered photo of the drawing cuz I think I did a decent job w/ the filters to get rid of the paper texture

I have literally not painted since elementary school art class but I got a bug up my ass about doing a weird fiction inspired triptych. And, with my degree in archaeology, making it inspired by Paleolithic art seemed fitting. So, after listening to the entire Far Cry Primal soundtrack on vinyl and a couple glasses of absinthe, I give you this.

I worked from 5pm to 1am last night and it was an incredibly slow Thursday night shift so I finally went ahead and drew for the first time in...what, almost a year and a half? Anyway @yuuzhanbong is doing stuff with their Fallout Alaska setting again so I decided to try my ha d at drawing a ghoul character.

Not a lot of background to this character. I mean I named them obvi, and if your familiar with US Army ranks you can probably guess how they wound up in the North pre-War. You can also probably tell that I’m leaning towards them being some sort of nb or genderfluid since I’m using singular they but I haven’t really decided that yet. “Henri” is not their birth name either, but it’s not far off either since its just the Francophonic form of the name. They’ve spent the last 200+ years since the bomb fell wandering across the northern half of the continent, naturally leading to a hell of a lot of time in former Canada. The revolver (a Ruger Blackhawk in .357) is mostly for show at this point, Henri hasn’t exactly gone out of the way to stock up heavily on ammunition for it. I figure with Fallout’s divergent timeline affecting weapon’s technology in some odd ways that there was a solid likelihood of Canada and the rest of Britain’s former colonies that make up the Commonwealth of Nations still using Lee Enfield rifles for Reserve forces or the Canadian Rangers (who as an aside, have only just started replacing their Lee Enfields after 70 years of use). And with American occupation of Canada for a full decade before the Great War in a timeline where resources are even more scarce than where we’re currently headed, there had to be at least a few hundred Lee Enfield’s rechambered from .303 to .308.

As to the dialogue I wrote: it was 12:55 last night when I scribbled that part in, I have no idea what it means. And man I wish I could do read mores on mobile

In all seriousness probably the only way I'll ever draw serious nsfw art (and definitely the only way I'll stray towards anything stronger than solidly sfw with mlp) is some sort of incentive like cash

Hey look I drew an actual drawing for the first time in almost two years.

Testing the art waters with a new pony OC that’s a tribute to classic science fiction. No idea what colors to pick for her or her space jumpsuit or even if I want to color this. or if her ray guns are like powered by some sort of magic or is some sort of advance magicless technology. All I’ve really decided is her name, rank, organization, and status as plain old earth pony. Almost made her some sort of space alien equivalent of a unicorn by giving her Andorian-style antennae but I decided against it.

I’ll probably be making myself an art blog too btw even though my limited skills are rusty as fuck cuz boy howdy this is bad why did I draw it seriously art I drew back in the ass end of 2012 was better then this ugh

Also I currently headcanon this OC as being voiced by Sigourney Weaver
