An advert that I worked on for the Indiegogo campaign ‘Multiple Choice Interactive Film - Horror’ by WatchPlay. (My work starts from 1.38)
Be sure to check them out and support them here
Motion Graphics work for a Indiegogo campaign called WatchPlay, a media streaming platform which allows the user to make choices via a mobile phone app which then affect the outcome in a sort of Chose Your Own Adventure sort of way.
Be sure to give them a look here (my work starts at 1:38)
Over the past 7 months, I animated for a group of student film makers for their film “Petal Child” which follows a girl, Steph, who joins a psych-rock band in the 60s in a story of self-discovery.
As Lead Animator, I oversaw two scenes in the film. A music video in which the main characters experience their own view of space and an LSD trip in which Steph takes LSD and her view of the world begins to distort resulting in her briefly becoming animated. Above are some of the assets I used.
The whole experience was interesting as it was my first time both leading a group and working for a client and there is a lot of things that I would have changed.
My Final Animation, Hunted, for my second year at University.
The theme of our animations was “The Chase” so I based mine on the slower chase between predator and prey. The name “Hunted” refers to both the main character’s hunt for a weapon and the creature’s hunt for the main character.
I built the room and the gun in Autodesk Maya in order to get a better perspective and reference of the items as well as maintain consistency at the more difficult angles.
A few select backgrounds.
My finalised animatic.
I chose to give the organisation that my film takes place in a logo to make it more official-looking. The both designs are based on the Bio hazard symbol below, with the first being an inversion and the second being a triangular redesign.
My monster designs, reworked after the first was called “too cute”.
