it has been two months since i posted anything which i think says a lot!! major points being: i got into northwestern for grad school. one of the top two graduate journalism programs in the country and i was accepted!! that is so crazy to me. i have definitely had many moments where the future i always dreamed of seems weirdly close to happening and i don't know how to handle that. at the same, my health has continued to get worse which is something that really sucks!! at this point i'm very anemic and might have to undergo another round of chemo. i don't want to do anymore chemo. i'm finally getting to a point where i am accepting how attractive of a woman i am and i would hate to have a round of rough medical things ruin that momentum. i'm seeing childish gambino on wednesday. i'm being a fan girl. my boyfriend is flying home to washington with me on thursday to meet my friends!!

Before you ask me when you have your first kiss or if you’ll ever have a boyfriend, I need to tell you some more important stuff first. What’s more important than a first kiss, you ask? Plenty. First of all, don’t let that kid in your class, Danny, who called you fat, make you self-consciously wear oversized sweatshirts for the next four years to hide your body. That kid is horrible and years from now he will be boring and bald and trying to get in touch with you to come to the set of the TV show you work on. No, you don’t work on “Cheers”.
