Last night I went to Avon's "Celebrate The Season" event and it was awesome! I got to do my favorite thing of all time and help women pick out makeup that complimented their existing beauty while also showing them ways to perfectly execute the latest trends easily and effortlessly. Monday Dirty Talk: 9/16

After a crazy (or relaxing) weekend, it’s time to get back to the weekly grind. But who doesn’t like a nice and dirty conversation starter to get them through their case of the Mondays?

Beauty is always evolving as new cosmetic technologies takeover as the latest and greatest ways to wear your favorite product. Last week, Avon and Lady de Cosmetic released lip lines that are all about hydration and color. [Photo courtesy: Avon]

Avon makeup is known for its attention to detail, especially when it comes to skin care. So, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the cosmetic company updated their Ultra Glazewear Lip Gloss with their True Color Technology, which promises to stick to the true color of the gloss from tube to lips. With a range of bright and deep hues, the glosses come in sparkly, creamy, and shimmery finishes that are great for day and night looks. Tangerine Gleam will be filling my purse soon and why not—these suckers are on sale for $3.99 (regularly priced $6)!

In other lipstick news, the online retailer Lady de Cosmetic now sells Moisture Lipstick, a new line from L.A. Colors. Selling for $1.80 each, you can stock-up on 52 brilliant shades, from Grape Crush to Icicle. The major players, Aloe and Vitamin E, will keep lips from drying-out, and the website boasts a long lasting color that is comparable to high-end brands. This sounds to me like the perfect investment for a luxury-head on a budget (me), because Sienna is just calling my damn name.

So tell me, with affordable brands like Avon and Lady de Cosmetic, is it necessary to buy luxury anymore, or will you still hold on to your expensive and reliable favorites?
