Don’t you just love how when someone is upset, Jason is the first one to notice and try to help? Because I sure do. This, this is why Jason was a good leader, because he was genuinely concerned for everyone on his team and always tried to help if he could. It’s not about who kills the most monsters or who’s the most “badass”

what she means: Rick Riordan literally left so much of Jason's backstory unexplained and unexplored. He was thrown into a camp before he reached the developmental milestone of being able to dress himself and we still have no idea who raised him?? Random teenagers?? Foster parents in New Rome?? Unlike all the other main characters, we never get glimpses of him learning his powers like the kid can fly dammit how can there not be an interesting story behind that? And we all know the only characters Rick will continue writing about post-HoO is Percy and Annabeth so we'll probably never get real answers.
