  She can. She has an angelic voice. Maybe if you ask nicely she’d sing you something.

I- Well it’s just music. I can’t see how that would hurt but I doubt I’d be able to keep up with you anymore. 

I wasn’t suggesting it was complex. I can obviously see how many notes are going through it by the way you’re playing.

I have no desire to listen to her sing. I'll pass on that. 

I'm sure you could keep up. I'd go slow if you fell behind. 

At least you can appreciate the music by looking at the player. [smirks]

  We were. [hesitantly thinks about putting her hands on the keys  but decides against it.] You’re the only person I can really duet with. Although Liz and I have some great songs recorded of her singing and me on the Harp. 

[smiles] Very lightly and fluffy.

Queen can sing? Low and behold, I am shocked. [laughs as he continues to play] I'd say that we should play a duet together sometime, but I don't know if your "King" would allow that. 

It's a simple piece, its complexities are seen better on paper.

  Maybe we shouldn’t dance to it but I’d love to hear it. 

[turns around the face the piano as well and lets her hand rest on his leg nonchalantly] 

I haven’t heard you at the piano in a while.

[jasonherbert-rp]

Last time we were at a piano...we were playing a duet together...

[starts to play the slower song. It's very flowy]

  Well my mother would go for the slower one, since it is for her events. Is it something my father and her could make up a routine for? 

Why wouldn’t it be the best idea? [letting her voice rise a little bit and then looking away from him]

[lets go of him and goes to sit on the piano seat then turning her eyes towards him again]

Knowing your parents, it'd be perfect for them. 

What I meant was that...given our...current state of closeness...a slower song might not be the best idea for us. 

[goes to join her on the seat by the piano facing the piano with his hands perched on the keys but not playing anything]

Did you want to hear it?

[smiles a bit because he said please] Right, well. 

Yeah… what else have you been working on?

I have some newer jazz compositions...and another dancing one. But it's slower. I don't know if it'd be best to listen to that one...right now.

If she does… I’ll tell you. We might have to meet up in public… to discuss what my mother wants from you. She’s always is hosting balls… I’m sure she’d love to have your music during them.

  Yes that’s all. What else would you want…? [says softly and nods her head at him slightly]

I- [mulls over that] Okay. That actually sounds good. Should I write a proposal or do you want to handle this by yourself?

I’m sure you’re great at handling things by yourself.

I'll write the proposal, and if she asks questions, feel free to give me a good word.

  Keep you safe. [Emma murmurs honestly] 

I don’t think she’d be able to give you what you want. I think that’s more my fathers department… Maybe Liz’s father could buy? We can ask Liz if her family has a taste for music…

Is that all? [says softly but smiles at her as if to say "thank you"] 

I know she can't, but it'd be a step in the right direction. Strengthen the relationship I have with your parents. Your mother likes me. I'll stick with trying to sell to her.

  I guess I should then. I might not want to though. I am thinking about keeping you for myself. 

Yes… true. [smiles]

I-I’m sure you deserve her. 

Do you want me to ask my mother… or do you want this not to include my family?

And what would you do to me if you were to keep me around? I have to know what I might be getting myself into. 

If your mother would be willing to buy, I could get a connection with her. We could be business partners. Me giving her music, and her owing me one later. Having a business deal might come in handy with...transactions I wish to make in the near future.

  She sounds flawless. 

Is that what you want if we had enough money in the world? Your own concert hall?

[smiles] And what makes you deserve her? 

I was under the impression that you’ve already are selling this piece?

She really is. You should meet her sometime. You remind me a bit of her actually. 

When you dream, got to dream big. 

[smiles back] Truth is...I don't know if I do. But I know that I regret letting her go. And that I don't like seeing her with this other guy. 

I am selling this piece. To who is still uncertain.

  Let’s hope. 

I never do. There is one boy that I’m quite attracted to and simply dancing with another boy won’t really stop that. 

I’m not sure if I’m going to enjoy them. [smirks slightly] 

A gazillon galleons. [says seriously]

Sounds like one hell of a guy. I've been told by quite an amazing girl that I'm hard to resist. [smirks]

A gazillion galleons? Well...if you did pay that much, I'd be able to make my own concert hall, and buy enough publicity to get me fully established. Make a name for myself...

but I'd probably take that gazillion galleons and put it down for a bid on someone so that I can steal her from someone else who doesn't deserve her.

  You’re clearly just too passionate about music without having a foundation voice as a conductor and the music almost seems generic without the usual feeling I get to hear in music. I would want to be wow’d not just dancing. Honestly I can barely hear the music because it blurs into the background. It just makes me focus on my dancing partner…. and we can’t have that. 

[whispers] How can I not? It’s hard forgetting what you say. 

Formal balls and waltzes? It’s hard not to enjoy that. I would certainly agree. [lets her hand hold onto his a bit tighter]

So- [holds her breath for a second] you’re selling these? How much for? [gulps slightly]

I'm only sixteen, I'll get a foundation soon enough. [pulls her in closer] And what's so bad about focusing on your partner? Afraid you'll become entranced? 

I am willing to sell my pieces to people who are going to enjoy them. What are you willing to offer me for this piece? 

[jasonherbert-rp]

  [blushes]

I guess that you might know a bit of something Mister Herbert, it be a crime to punish talent like this so young even if you have some obvious flaws.

[smiles at him and whispers back] Because I pay attention to you. I’ve been trying a bit harder with music… I’ll remember this is from the 1800’s now. 

[goes back to her other voice] So, Mr. Herbert… Since this is clearly from the 1800’s and you weren’t around then, what inspired you to write this? Your love for Merlin? 

[jasonherbert-rp]

I have obvious flaws? And what would those be? 

[whispers] You better remember. 

[in normal voice] Oh, Merlin is definitely what inspired me. [rolls his eyes] No, I was more interested in the style overall. The 1920s is more of a time for jazz in my opinion. the 1800s was more filled with formal balls and perfectly composed waltzes. Wouldn't you agree Miss Vanity?

  Well do try a bit harder. 

Uh- it’s alright. The tempo is reminiscent of 1920’s classical when you’re clearly reaching for of a more 1960’s feel. Clearly you’re an amateur. [smiles because she is actually impressed and is just trying to mimic what he says wrong about music because she really knows nothing]

I"m hardly an amateur Miss Vanity. But it's pleasant to hear someone who knows how to at least spew facts. 

[whispers in her ear] It's actually a waltz reminiscent of a composition that I had once heard my parents dance to. The piece was from the late 1800's. But you had a nice guess..

I'm surprised you even remembered those facts.

Just kidding of course. If I had emotional breakdowns for rejection from girls, that'd be pathetic on my part.
