Well I thought about this but I also believe that Matthew has a little crush on Jay (e.g. in the episode with team working from season 1) And it’s obvious that Matthew is keeping his mean face even when he’s feeling bad So I have a suspicion that he may not be heartbroken but surely deeply hurt And I believe that this thread will be continued just as you said it has a lot of potential 🤔😏

Well honestly, I think that characters' age is not a thing if it comes to fanfics 'cause there has been SO MANY underage ships like e.g. South Park's boys xD and their authors mostly create AUs in which they are much older So your Matthew and Jay might be 16 and people will still love it 'cause honestly -this ship is just awesomeAnd still this is Big Mouth -this is about horny teenagers and that's the main point people love it, right? 😘And I'm still waiting to read pice of good jathew fanfic 🌹🌹
