Post Jaw Surgery Day 8
Eighth day after lower jaw surgery.Â
Less swollen from walking. Sleeping is troublesome when you have to sleep upright and I wake up every morning in a lot of pain. If you have any questions you want me to answer, ask away.

Post Jaw Surgery Day 8
Eighth day after lower jaw surgery.Â
Less swollen from walking. Sleeping is troublesome when you have to sleep upright and I wake up every morning in a lot of pain. If you have any questions you want me to answer, ask away.
Post Jaw Surgery Day 7
Seventh day after lower jaw surgery. More movement, less numbness. More pain.. sorta... Still very swollen. Hopefully the walking helps! If you have any questions you want me to answer, ask away.
Post Jaw Surgery Day 6
Sixth day after lower jaw surgery. Sorry, I didn't make a day 4 or 5. There's not much of a difference in the swelling anyways. Pain is worse though. If you have any questions you want me to answer, ask away.
Post Jaw Surgery Day 3
Third day after lower jaw surgery. Didn't really know what to talk about... If you have any questions you want me to answer, ask away.
Post Jaw Surgery Day 2
Second day after my lower jaw surgery. (the surgery was in the morning the day before, so i considered this as the second day. Sorry it's up late I've been massing with the videos a bit) If you have any questions you want me to answer, ask away.
Pre-Op: The Night Before Surgery
My name is Audrey, I am getting jaw surgery. It has been a long hard struggle to finally get this surgery so I decided to share my journey of recovery with you :)
I have an underbite/cross bite due to the fact one side of my jaw stopped growing while the other did not.
Video taken late night on Sunday July 17th.
*note: This is not from today. I was slacking on updating the blog.
Milwaukee Update
The surgeon from milwaukee seems pretty promising. I had impressions taken for the 5th or 6th time. AWESOME... not really. I'm really hoping things work out this time. I want to finally get it done and out of the way this summer. I want to be able to chew and talk correctly again like I could when I was little. Really REALLY hoping this works!Â
Milwaukee
Although I haven't had time to post anything about my pre-surgery problems yet, I will post this anyways.
Tomorrow morning I'm going to meet my third oral surgeon in Milwaukee. He's in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield so hopefully all goes well this time. I'm nervous because I am really hoping it goes through this time. I've been waiting for so long! If all goes well, I will probably be having the surgery this summer. :D
Hoping things work out!Â
Past Orthodontic and Oral Medical Work:
So far in my life I have had 2 expanders for my top jaw, spacers, 2 built in retainers as well as 3 regular ones (bottom, top, top see through kind that go over all your teeth. You name it!), I’ve had headgear, and I’ve had braces 3 times (have them on currently for jaw surgery). As far as medical work goes, I’ve only had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. I was prescribed codeine/Tylenol and recover time was extremely quick. I went to work the next day!
About this Blog.
This is a blog I decided to create to help those who may be going through the motions to get jaw surgery. I will post all the work I’ve had done already, the troubles I’ve faced trying to get the surgery, and then when the time comes I will post updates on how the surgery is going and how recovering goes. I will also answer any questions that are asked to the best of my ability. This process has been very hard for me, and the people who posted what they went through really helped me out. I thought I should do the same. Who knows! Maybe you are going through similar problems I am and this helps you! Cross-bite/under-bite patient, Audrey Lynn
