A Vamp & Her Dog || Elaine & Jax (closed)
God, this was bullshit. Elaine growled to herself as she trudged up the stairs, leaving behind both Jackson and Celia from the little family get-together theyâd sprung on her. Such a waste of time. But much as she thought, they soon were too wrapped up in each other to notice her slipping back inside the house. A smirk crossed the girlâs lips though as she could smell Jaxâs nerves all the way down the hall. Poor little puppy smelled like he was working up a sweat.
Elaine slowed down a little, taking her time to wander towards her room, reveling in the tension she could almost feel radiating all the way back to the stairs. She pushed her straps off her shoulders and stepped out of her dress, tossing it in a laundry chute as she walked past. It was a nice dress. One of her favorites even. Elaine wasnât about to have Jax tear it in half as he ripped it from her body.Â
She stood in her underwear for a moment outside the door, putting a hand to her chin and just letting the pure heat pulsating from her room wash over her. A grin spread across Elaineâs face and sparkled in her eyes as she finally pushed open the door and stepped inside.

"Oh, well, if thatâs what you meantâŠâ Elaine said with a bit of a chuckle, glancing over her shoulder to the truck bed. âHmm. Actually not that bad. Perhaps Iâd only need three showers instead of five.â She teased. The truth was, Elaine probably wouldnât mind. She put on this air of being high-brow, what with all that leftover gentility still running under her skin after a hundred years, but if Elaine was honest with herselfâŠ
She knew all too well the rough way of life Jax was accusing her of discarding. Elaine had lived that before. Perhaps not for a hundred years, but  she could remember it all like it was yesterday. And, if she was honest, sheâd liked the freedom being a housemaid had given her. Even though she had been working for a Yankee, and that hurt her gentry-bred pride, being a servant had given her anonymity. No one paid attention to the pretty young girl dressed in hand-me-down uniforms.
Except a couple of vampires, that isâŠ
"Oh, excuse me, stealth ninja werewolf. Much more impressive. My mistake.â She grinned again, shaking her head. What a dork. âAnd three days? Well⊠Good to know youâve got an expiration date for your lady friends. So Iâm guessing I wonât have to make weekend plans with you, then?â Elaine raised an eyebrow as she watched Jax drum his thumbs against the steering wheel out of the corner of her eye. Something in her chest twanged a bit. Not that his stupid jokes or dumb grin meant much to herâhe was just an old fling sheâd happened upon againâbut⊠she did find herself settling further into the truck seat as if she had done this before and would find herself here again.
Even so, it didnât feel long enough when they finally stopped outside the mansion. Elaine looked up at the large building that had been her home so many years ago and she had come back to once again as Jax helped her out of the truck. âItâs Motherâs design. She always has had bigger pockets than me, and a moreâŠelegant taste, I guess.â She shrugged a little and grinned over at the boy. âThough to be honest, I think she just wanted to make sure thereâd be enough space between me and her progeny. Doesnât quite want me tearing her little pet in half.â Elaine chuckled darkly to herself before reaching out and taking Jaxâs hand and leading him up the path towards the mansion.
"Câmon. Iâll give you the five-second tour. Most important parts of the house onlyâŠ" The girlâs lips then spread into a sly grin as she turned to look over her shoulder at him. "Namely my room." She then pulled Jax close as they reached the back garden, pressing a hard kiss to his lips before a soft voice calling her name pulled a groan from Elaine. "Shit⊠Mother heard me." Elaine whispered before shouting up towards the balcony overlooking the backyard. "Coming!"
The young woman turned back to Jax, smiling gently and pressing herself a little closer to him, trailing soft kisses along the edge of his jaw. âI have to go say hello, but head right up the big staircase. Second floor, third door on the right, thatâs me.â She grinned up at him, a hand running up under his shirt and trailing soft designs against his skin. âIâll make it worth the wait, I promise. I wonât be too long.â Elaine pulled gently on his belt buckle then before pressing one more kiss against his lips and flitting away, leaving the door open behind her.
Jax was practically drooling as she finally walked away from him. Holy shit, how did she do that? It's like she knew exactly what to do to turn him on. He was pretty sure he had a tent in his pants at this point. He could still feel the ice cold of her fingers on his skin and her lips on his. And he almost fell along to follow after her like a good puppy would. But then he recalled her instructions.
He could do this. A determined look came over his face and he adjusted his jeans to try and hid his hard on as much as possible. He went into the house, trying not to scoff at the grandeur of it all. It was just... silly. It honestly just made him want to cackle. He obviously had no taste or sophistication. But that was part of what made him who he was. And hopefully what she would like him for.
Wait, what? No, he didn't care if she liked him or not. Nope. Not at all. This was just sex.
And so, when he found the door and went inside, he peeled his shirt off. First, because he was burning up (was he nervous? No. No not at all), second because he wanted to be nearly ready for her when she returned. But he didn't have much time to think about the rest. Because she walked through the door.
Jax turned to face her, and without a word, he rushed her. His lips caught hers and his hand gripped the door, slamming it shut and pressing her back into it. His hands gripped hold of her waist like she would disappear if he didn't. Every movement was rough and needy. Could he possibly be this addicted to her already?

Elaine raised an eyebrow at Jax as he started ranting about her not insulting his truck. He⊠He had eyes didnât he? He saw the truck she was leaning against, right? It was a veritable rust bucket with what looked like at least three different colored paints chipping away and felt like itâd blow over if she coughed too hard. He couldnât be seriously insulted over a hunk of junk like thisâŠ
"Youâre kidding me, right?" She said finally, letting out a small laugh as he said heâd forgive her this once, a look of disgust and disbelief crossing her face. At least until he called her out for it, earning another eye roll and shake of her head. What the hell was she doing here, hanging out with a wolf who obsessed over a truck that was probably far overdue for the junkyard? She could be spending time with fancy men in suits and ties who drove Porsche sportscars and knew how to treat a girl right.
But then Jax pressed a hard kiss to her lips and grinned that stupid-ass grin of his and something in Elaine knew that she preferred this idiot redneck over any fancy-pants boy sheâd ever meet.
"Yeah, well, youâd have to do a mighty bit of persuading to get me to fuck you in this truck, I can tell you that. Feel like Iâd need about five showers after that." She teased, taking Jaxâs hand in order to boost herself up onto the seat. "Besides, why would I want to spend the night in a cramped truck when Iâve got a perfectly good bed at home? Fits two with lots of room left over." Elaine winked at Jax, leaning a bit out the open window towards him and kissing him hard once more before he went to climb in the driverâs seat.
"Wait⊠did you just say âstealth ninjaâ? Really?" Elaine said, pulling herself out of her own thoughts for a moment to look at Jax and laugh loudly in his face. He was such an idiot. But a charming idiot, a quiet voice in her mind echoed back. âWell, âstealth ninja,â I hate to break it to you, but Mother can smell someone in your condition about five miles away. Itâs not gonna be as easy as shimmying up a tree outside your highschool sweetheartâs window.â Elaine shook her head and chuckled once more, raising her eyebrows a little, thinking of the massive grounds that surrounded the mansion she, Cecilia and Jackson shared. âNot that there arenât massive trees around the house that could be climbed up⊠Itâs just that one of the back entrances is probably a bit more comfortable.â
The girl leaned back into the seat a bit as they pulled out of the parking lot and out onto the streets of Oxford. âYou know where that big mansion is in the middle of town, right? By the old church?â she glanced over at Jax, a small smile on her face as she wondered if he even realized who heâd gotten himself tangled with. ââŠHead there.â She kicked her feet up on the dash then, making herself feel at home as a satisfied smirk crossed the girlâs face.
âŠalright so maybe the truck was kinda comfy in a broken-in-to-death kind of way. Still looked like something thatâd kill her in three seconds if she wasnât already dead. And that was the story she was sticking to.
"I didn't say nothin' bout fuckin' in here," he said, motioning to the cabin of the truck that they sat in. "Nah, there's not enough room in here to fuck a woman proper in here. I was talkin' bout the bed of the truck," he said, motioning through the back window to the bed of his truck which - despite the rest of his truck - was rather clean. "It's pretty great, but I'm also a redneck," he shrugged, "You seem too... Fancy for that." Disappointing, but he'd get over it. Not that he'd ever really expected her to do it in the first place.
"Yeah, stealth ninja," he said with a nod, but then blinked a few times before saying, "Stealth ninja werewolf, even better!" He then couldn't help but burst into laughter, "I didn't have no high school sweetheart. I spent high school fuckin' all the teachers. I ain't never kept no girl past three nights. I ain't wired that way."
He knew the house she was talking about. He'd always crinkled his nose at it. Who needed that much space? What did you need any more than a bedroom, a living room, a bathroom, and a kitchen? Anything else seemed stupid. "Alright," he said, his thumbs drumming against the steering wheel as they made their way.
Jax watched her get comfortable in his truck and couldn't help but grin. He knew she'd see how comfy it was eventually. But it didn't take them long to arrive at the place (or hotel as he viewed it) she called home. He pulled to a stop on the street outside, parking on the curb so that her... mother wouldn't see his truck and feel the need to insult it. Jax could take a lot, but nobody insulted Bessie. Mm mm. Nope.
He kicked open his door and walked around, opening hers for her and helping her down from the truck. "This place is pretty..." he stopped, trying to find the right word for it, "Big." His nose crinkled as he looked at it. Luxury and excess like this had never been his thing, "You like stuff like this?"
the day jaxon almost died: jaxon & m.j. (closed)
M.J. flashed him a flippant smile. She didnât say anything in response⊠only rolled up her window slowly, holding eye contact with him as the glass barrier slid up between them. M.J. waved him a girly goodbye before she sped forward. The rest of the day after her run-in (almost literal) with Jax consisted of cooking a poor meatloaf for her momâs dinner, getting mashed potatoes all over the microwave, changing her outfit nine times, and recording three new reality tv shows on the DVR. It was a low place for M.J. She could barely look herself in the mirror⊠except that she thought she was so pretty no amount of shame could keep her away from her own reflection. At least no level of shame she knew yetâŠ
That night, she popped down the sidewalk of a business district of Oxford, her heel clicking on the concrete, her skirt swaying with the repetitive swing of her hips. She was reading The New Yorker on her phone and didnât bother to watch where she was going; if people were smart enough theyâd move out of her way. (So Maybe M.J. had gotten a little full of herself⊠it wasnât the biggest of her problems. The biggest was probably that she was spending the night with Jaxon Joffrey of all people.)
Inside the bar, M.J. flipped her hair over her shoulder, that doing enough to get her a drink from the bartender. Goosebumps rose on her arms as she accounted for the number of cowboy boots around her.Â
Normally, Jax would have been one of those cowboy boots that were surrounding her. He'd already had his meltdown about how he couldn't find his favorite boots, so he wasn't going to think about it now. He'd shown up looking presentable. A simple polo in a dark blue with his dark jeans that hugged his frame in just the right way; and just a plain pair of boots. His sandy hair was washed and actually smelled good for once in his life, and he crawled up into the barstool beside her and ordered a beer.
"Glad to see you actually came," he told her with that stupid, wolfish grin of his, "I thought you mighta just been jerkin' my chain. I mean, I did try for years to get you to give in to me." And he had. He'd tried every move in the book on her; but none had worked. He chose to believe it was just  because she'd had a boyfriend and was like... loyal or something. It couldn't have been an issue with his game. Because his game was on point, dammit.
"I'm still tryin' to convince myself this is real," he told her with a chuckle, "I never thought I'd see the likes of you in this town again. I thought once you were out that you were gone for good."

Elaine smiled a little to herself, pulling her bra and dress straps back over her shoulders and smoothing down her skirt. âWhat can I say? Iâm a girl of simple tastes.â She replied, raising an eyebrow at Jax as she pulled her hair back into a tight high ponytail. âI like hot, interesting boys that know what to do with their dicks.â Elaine turned her gaze back to the young man in front of her, her expression emotionless but a twinkle still glimmering in her eyes. âAnd if you fail on any of those accounts, Iâll become far less ah⊠taken with you, as you so eloquently put it. So donât get ahead of yourself, darlinâ.â She patted Jax on the cheek gently and winked at him before turning on her heel and wandering back out of the alley.
He was fun. This was fun. Hell, Elaine couldnât really remember the last time sheâd felt like she had a goddamned skip in her step. Sheâd gotten very good at controlling herself and her posture of course thanks to years of training by Cecilia, so she still simply glided across the sidewalk, but the feeling was still there. Why exactly this idiot wolf of all beings was the one that she had become⊠well⊠taken with was a bit beyond Elaine right now, but she was sure sheâd tire of him eventually.
After a hundred and fifty years of living, most people bored her after a while. What would make him so different?
"Iâm thinking perhaps my place will be a bit⊠ah⊠more suitable if your transport here is any evidence." Elaine said as she leaned gently against the side of Jaxâs truck, crossing her arms across her chest as she waited for the young man to catch up to her. "Of course, weâll have to sneak you past Mother, but if weâre lucky sheâll be too distracted by that douchebag Jackson to catch a whiff of you."
There was a lot of information coming at him at the same time. Mother; a douchebag named Jackson; but the first thing to be addressed was: "Woah, woah, hey now!" he said rushing up and placing a hand on the hood of his truck, "We don't insult a man's truck 'round these parts, woman." He turned his eyes to his truck. It was older (and had obviously seen better days), but he'd paid for it himself and fixed it himself when it had needed repairs. The pride he felt for his truck showed in his eyes and that stupid grin of his.Â
"Now, I'll forgive it once, but this is a damn good truck, so you just hush with those negative words," he said, and then seeing the look on her face added, "And looks. Yeah, that look ain't allowed 'round my truck."
He walked over and quickly leaned in and pressed his lips hard against hers. Jax then pulled back, that stupid grin present on his lips, "It's real nice to fuck in, too. Maybe I'll show ya sometime." He then pulled her up from his truck and opened the passenger door for her, "Your redneck chariot, m'lady." Jax might have been an idiot and a shameless skirt chaser, but he knew how to be courteous and chivalrous when he wanted.
Once she was in, he walked around and climbed into the driver's seat. "And don't worry 'bout sneakin' me past nobody. I'm a stealth ninja," he told her with a wink, turning on the truck and pulling out of his parking spot.

Jax laughed a bit, raising his brow as he gazed at her. "So you went from not rememberin' me at all to bein'Â taken with me?" he grinned, "I knew my dick was good, but this is just a whole other level." He placed her back on her feet and stepped back from her, pulling his pants up and haphazardly doing his belt, that stupid grin on his face. "You're lucky I'm a werewolf and need more than a normal guy, cause that means you're gonna get a lot more of that tonight," he said, his eyes sparkling with happiness (and horniness, too probably).Â
"Now, question is... Your place, or mine?" he asked her with a raised brow, "And don't worry, I'll be sure to get you back to wherever it is you need to be safe before mornin', if we decide to go to my place." His hands started redoing the buttons on his shirt so that he could go back out and not look like he'd just had sex. But... Let's be honest, when had Jax not just had sex? It was a wide known fact around town that he'd screw just about anyone who looked half-way decent. But this, with Elaine, was different.
But he wasn't going to think about that. No. Because, wtf did that even mean? He wasn't going to think about stuff that didn't make sense.
the day jaxon almost died: jaxon & m.j. (closed)
M.J. flashed an annoyed smile. The muscles in her cheeks needed little reminding how to respond to Jaxâs quips. She was right back at home. She had noticed how Jaxon had responded to the sunglasses in her mouth earlier, so naturally she had to press his buttons a bit more. She swirled the end of them around in a circle, holding firm eye contact with him. She was thinking⊠or just delaying. Either way, M.J. was getting a kick out of his expression.Â
Finally, she relented. âYouâre buying my drinks,â M.J. replied decidedly. Even when she lived in Oxford as a teenager, she was the type of girl who knew exactly what she wanted. The only thing that changed when she moved to New York was that she actually had the power to demand it. She may not have been the star of a show or tenant of a high-class apartment anymore, but the essence was still there. âRuffle away,â she said sarcastically. At least sheâd get to forget about being a small town stay at home nurse for a night. Jax was only a minor set back.
Damn it. She knew exactly what she was doing, didn't she? Of course she did. MJ was like... some super genius or something. Or, at least with math. Or he assumed. She'd been 'hired' as his tutor for a reason. He'd never really listened much when she'd tutored. He'd always been trying to think of new ways to get into her pants. Hey, he'd graduated. That's what mattered, right?
"I can do that," he finally nodded, licking his lips a bit before leaning back from her car. He then motioned towards her and the car in a general sweeping motion with his hand, "Try not ta kill anyone, alright?" His stupid, wolfy grin came to his lips and he glanced at the watch he wore on his left hand, "I'll meet ya at the bar... around nine?" It would give him enough time to get home and get a shower before meeting up with her.
