[Ariel nodded slightly.] I'll talk to him.
Thank you. [Jax said softly, making his way to the door with this things] I'll... see you around.

[Ariel nodded slightly.] I'll talk to him.
Thank you. [Jax said softly, making his way to the door with this things] I'll... see you around.
Like I said, give it a little time and work on yourself. He found Madison again, you can find them both again too.
[Jax nodded, glancing towards the bedroom again]
Um... Will you tell Schuyler that he can just sell my computer set up as repayment for paying for everything please? I Just.... I don't have a need for it when I don't even have somewhere to set it up.
[Ariel returned his hug.] Reach out to Mason though, when you can. He's dealing with some stuff at work right now, but once you both get a little settled... well, siblings are important.
[Jax reached up to wipe at his eyes again and nodded his head a little]
I'll try... I don't want to push my luck with him though.
Of course. Just... be careful out there. And be smart.
[Jax nodded, getting up and gently wrapped his arms around Ariel for a hug, trying to keep it together as best he could still]
It's fine. I've been selling my pieces well lately and... well, I don't really do anything. So it's not a problem. And now you can fully focus on your decisions.
I... thank you. [Jax said seriously] Can I give you a hug before i go?
It's no problem. [Ariel was quiet for a little while longer while she did some searching and set things up.] I found a Holiday Inn here in Brooklyn. I'll forward you the email with the info. I paid for your first week, so you'll have a little time to figure out what you wanna do.
[Jax kept his head down, looking at the table as Ariel looked for the hotel. He looked up when she started talking again and shook his head listening to her]
You didn't have to pay for me... I can pay you back...
I do have severe oldest daughter syndrome. Helping is in my blood. [Ariel half-joked.]
Well I appreciate it. A lot.
[Ariel shot him a look and then went back to searching.] We can find you something decent, I'm sure.
[Jax nodded again]
Thank you for helping me.
I don't want you to die... [Ariel mused, knowing what some of the areas were like where the truly cheapest places are.]
[Jax opened his mouth then closed it, choosing to keep his comment to himself and instead just nodded a little, looking down to the table in front of him]
[Ariel nodded and waved him over to the table.] We can look on the phone. My laptop's upstairs.
[Jax made his way over slowly to her, setting his bag down before taking a seat next to her]
The cheapeset thing is fine.
Yeah. Do you, um-- are you sure you don't need help finding a hotel or anything?
[Jax stopped and glanced to her again. He swallowed before nodding his head a little, his voice weak]
I could use a little help.
[Ariel gave Jaxon time to do what he needed to do, moving back to the kitchen to make herself a snack.] There is like zero wine in this apartment. That is so rude right now.
[It took a while but Jaxon finally managed to get up and gather enough clothes to last for a while. He rubbed at his eyes, trying to wipe the tears away as he walked out of the bedroom, glancing towards Ariel in the kitchen]
Um... Thanks for letting me in... I appreciate it.
Okay. [Ariel said again, shaking her head. This whole thing was exhausting, but it was probably best that it didn't get stuck in limbo.]
[Jaxon disappeared into the bedroom with every intention of just gathering some clothes and leaving. But when he got in there, everything he had been holding back since Schuyler and Mason's visit hit him like a train. He took in a shakey breath, trying to hold it together as he grabbed out his old backpack from the closet. It didn't take long for him to just sit on the floor, completely overwhelmed and at a loss of what to do. He put his back against the wall and brought his legs up, wrapping his arms around them before burrying his face between his knees as the emotions came pouring out of him]
I'm sure you're not the first person to be in a situation without somewhere to go and not being able to afford staying there anymore. That's what they have social workers for. To help with those sorts of things.
[Jaxon shrugged]
That would have cost money too. This was easier. [He motioned towards the bedroom] I'm gonna go pack a bag. I'll figure out my computer set up later.
[Ariel crossed her arms as she looked at him. Lying to doctors didn't seem like a great choice in all this, but he really hadn't been making a lot of great choices. It was frustrating and sad, but there wasn't much she could do about it.] ...okay.
[Jaxon stayed silent for a moment, noticing Ariel's body language. After a moment, he finally spoke again]
They would have kept me there if I told them I didn't have anywhere. I didn't want to be there anymore. Was it a great decision? Probably not. But... [He shrugged, looking back down to the floor] I felt like staying there didn't even help me and I don't want to keep using Schuyler's money.
Really? I'm just surprised they didn't... bring that up at all when talking about your plan from here on out.
...sorry. None of my business. Do your thing.
I told them I had friends I'd be staying with. [Jax mumbled, reaching up to run a hand through his hair] I have some of my own money that I'll get a room somewhere. I just... don't want to bother anyone here.
Do you have somewhere in mind to stay?
[Jax shook his head, clearing his throat again]
I'll figure something out. [He whispered as he made his way in to start to put a bag together]
