"Honestly? …Kind of. It’s only so many times when people treat you like crap because of your job before you stop mentioning it." Lizzie muttered, her gaze darkening. It wasn’t fair; yes, she had a less than savory job, but that was no reason to be abused for it. Constant name calling, boyfriends trying to force her into things, all of it mounted up until it was a far better prospect for her just to lie.
As he pulled her to him, Lizzie nuzzled into his chest, her eyes starting to droop shut. “And to me. I wouldn’t. And stop that… You’re good enough for me. I don’t give a shit what anyone else thinks, including you.” she gave him a squeeze.
"...If you want, but I just...it's not fair on you is all." He sighed, running his fingers through his girlfriend's hair, feeling exhaustion start to overcome him. It'd been a good day, nearly perfect. Sure, it hadn't all gone to plan, but that was the beauty of it. For it to go so wrong and yet still feel content at the end of it.
"Thanks, Lizzie...now-" He snuggled closer and pressed a kiss on his lover's forehead, his eyes starting to close. "Why don't we sleep..so I can see your beautiful face in the morning."
