Ok….
So I am all good for debate and I value everyone’s opinion (unless you are Jakola or Antluke 😂) but it kind of gets me when you don’t like the way I answer an ask. I prefer you DM than send an anon ask It is ok no shade, but if you don’t like don’t read always scroll on not bothered….I am not for everyone. Sometimes I ramble and do not make a lot of sense but I hope I make some feel better.
One thing that has been scratching on the inside of my brain is obviously the adjacent narrative. I still think JD is done and gone. Nic posted the restaurant as a latergram…JD did not post when in previous times he 💯 would have and it was just an unlucky coincidence that there was someone vlog. The thing is as a fandom because of the sub 👿 they are constantly searching for evidence of their ship. This is the craziest thing. The main strongest ship broke off in two small boats that are constantly searching for chaos crumbs that causes drama.
Outside of the fandom no one would know anything we do. If I tried to explain this to my husband or my bestie who is actually a Bridgeton fan she would look at me like I was made. The only reason we know about half the things we do Is because the friends of Adjacents are followed, tags are looked at, people scan crowds it is insane and when someone stands next to a boy at a concert and the tabloids say that it is Nics boyfriend then a fandom runs with it. Someone gives someone a NYE kiss that is your girlfriend.
We in some ways are our own worst enemies because we feed the beast. As soon as the article about 🐜 came out even though not confirmed she went from 2000-14000 JD went from 4000 to over 23000 . JD is at least an actor with some projects of work to his name, a career somewhat deserving, but 🐜 has no reason to have that kind of following no talent as a dancer or model and the only reason people follow is to see if she posts anything for or of Luke which she never did, just insinuating and fan baiting.
I admit I am 💯 one of those who used to follow every movement. That was me I gave it oxygen and fanned the flames. Now I stay away I have actually blocked both 🐜 and the superstar thing. I get the info from followers and X or I stay blissfully ignorant. JD I still follow because he has never been an issue and he is more like a JVN.
I am not sure what exactly is my point except, we fuelled the distraction. The tabloids put a label on it and the fandom swallowed it. It is obviously not the real story but because the GA believes everything they read the sub 👿 will argue till there blue in the face to defend there ship.
I do think the narrative is fading we just have to leave it alone. I agree that it is hard, especially when people comment and repost everything they do. Although it is happening less and less.
