It was quietly called, as if the big twenty six and a half foot robot was afraid of waking up a child. But she had to make her rounds, make sure her family had been okay in her…absence.

It was probably a good thing that there were no sleeping children around, because the surprised squeak that Jayden made would have probably woken up said sleeping child. Eric just giggled at the noise.

Eric squealed in delight and demanded to be put down. Jayden let him go and he came fearlessly racing over as fast as his little legs would take him, falling once but getting right back up. “Well, someone’s happy to see you,” Jayden laughed.

Jayden’s shoulders fell. “She’s not around either? I haven’t even seen Jolt anywhere...”

“Honestly? ...I’m not sure. I haven’t seen him or Phoenix for awhile...” She answered quietly before cleaning her throat.  “Watch out, he still pulls hair,” she warned as Eric reached for a handful of Mack’s hair.

“A pain in the butt,” she answered. Eric giggled at that. “And he knows it too. He’s a handful just like Shadow.”

“Oh, you know...” She didn’t elaborate. Eric hid behind her now, stunning blue eyes blinking at Taylor curiously. “Who else would it be?” Jayden giggled.

She gestures to her son, who currently had the most innocent face a child his age could possibly have. “Kids keep you busy.”

There is a startled squeak from Jayden’s throat as she turns on her heel, face lighting up at the sight of Taylor. “Taylor!” This also caught the attention of a certain young boy, just old enough to walk, who came trotting over to investigate
