i know everyone’s excited about the trailer but a new interview with sam reid just dropped with entertainment weekly and it had first look photos

i don’t wanna be a debbie downer but i think people are having far larger expectations by calling whatever we’re getting today a “trailer” but remember the show isn’t done filming and we would still have 6+ months before the show even airs so don’t expect this teaser to be longer than 30 secs maximum, meaning we’re probably not going to see a whole lot.

why is everyone talking about iwtv stopping production? i thought SAG-AFTRA was an american union and most of the actors aren’t american so i’m not sure it’s affected

twitter is currently broken so i’m ranting about this on here so you could ignore if you prefer but i i get such whiplash in this fandom. i wake up to exciting new photos and new theories and then anger bc those photos were shared. i think it’s so unserious when people get so disgruntled about the sharing of photos from set. i am of the stance that it’s no big deal (especially bc they’re not specifically spoilery i.e. full details of what’s happening or play by play of each ep) and i doubt they’ll be any real pushback from sharing said photos. you guys are not holding super secret nuclear codes, we are ALL going to learn of all this information once the show comes out anyway so what’s the big deal? i get maybe not wanting to have pictures shared that you yourself took, fine but we are starved for content and i think it’s great and fun when we all as a collective can talk about the new season stuff and can finally stop rehashing old s1 stuff. this should be exciting!!! so please for all that is holy, unclench and relax a little.

i will never understand how you can see a character struggle with their addiction with a shitty dad and try to navigate how they can still be with the person they love while dealing with that hard reality and call them manipulative or selfish and still hate them. it feels like we watched a completely different show or you watched those scenes with your ears and eyes closed or something.

destiel shippers are still coming for me bc apparently i’m “lying” or “looking at things out of context” but they fail to realize i’ve been a fan for YEARS and i’ve seen the comments made about destiel for YEARS. i will say it again: DESTIEL WILL NOT BE RECIPROCATED BC JENSEN IS NOT FOR DESTIEL AND NEVER WILL BE FOR DESTIEL IM NOT MAKING IT UP. just bc he agreed to do a scene (that he was warned of 3?? months?? in advance?? of filming) does not mean he’s on board. he was clearly forced into it

also i’m not a bibro i’m trying to figure out why i’m being called that just bc i don’t ship destiel. i honestly don’t ship anything on the show (and incest is gross)

if jensen is so accepting then wtf is this about?? he was always so against destiel and not only bc ppl were shipping him and misha. he seemed genuinely uncomfortable about the idea of dean being anything other straight. if there was any pull back about destiel becoming canon earlier on (as it should have been if it was always the plan to canonize them) it was jensen not just the writers

the convention today confirms that if jensen didn’t want the confession to happen it wouldn’t have (which i bring this up to prove they know jensen has doubts about them writing deancas to be anything more than platonic and yes i am one of those who thinks jensen is homophobic based on past remarks and actions. also, he’s a republican from texas let’s be real), misha isn’t coming back for the last 2 eps, and cas’ feelings are not gonna be reciprocated. destiel is not as canon as you think and i’m not saying that to burst bubbles i’m saying so you don’t get hopes up and feelings hurt.

i’ve been a fan of supernatural for years and let’s be real if they REALLY wanted deancas to be canon they would’ve given a real deal, unambiguous scene seasons ago and we could’ve seen them together in love unapologetically for many episodes, not the third to last ep of the entire show
