I feel like people don't really talk about how the Rotten Four were kind of like Isle royalty, or as close as you could get to it. From other peoples' reactions to them you kind of get the idea that they're the only ones who pull shit like this, at least on a regular basis. And they're not really stealing anything, at least not for necessity, they're literally just harassing people. And they can do this with pretty much no consequence, assumedly because of who their parents are.

Lessons learned: spray paint doesn’t play well with cheap faux leather. It doesn’t dry properly because something something oils in the plastic leach and cause the paint to do weird sticky stuff. SO a little acetone rub, some cornstarch, and a re-paint with acrylic, we just need all the lil greeblie bits added. bonus: the aftermath of painting dcom costumes at an airsoft field because I’m a ~busy gal~ and didn’t have running water at the field lmao

It’s been long enough now that I think I’m allowed to post the show pictures! This build was for my sister’s summer production of Descendants the Musical. She was Evie, and her bestie Mal is also wearing my cosplay.

the back of Mal’s jacket is still one of my favorite cosplay details I’ve ever made.

the back of Evie’s jacket didn’t originally have the green racing stripes, but…..local theater politics happened. (I added adjustable lace up side panels that the costume assistant removed, and then!!! Shockingly!! It was too tight!! So instead of adding the matching, cute panels back in, she added extra space in the back. In bright green. Sigh.)

One last close up shot that technically also had the boys or whatever, but I didn’t make their costumes so they’re cropped out. Isn’t that Evie skirt with the heart cutouts the most darling thing?? She ended up keeping the big jacket sleeves for the whole show because they were more fun to throw around dramatically and y’know what that’s so valid and in character of her.

Jay and mal being so close and truley understanding eachother more than anyone else is so important to me. Like Mal and evie are best friends for life, but jay is her brother. Jay and mal understand eachother without even having to say anything. Out of the core four, its clear to see mal and jay are most alike while Carlos and Evie are most alike. Mal and jay enjoyed isle life while Carlos and evie got used to Auradon far faster than mal and jay did. Mal and jay have a silent understanding in eachothers struggles and life and its so important to me

Mal brings her youger brother Hadie

Carlos and Jay bring Harry and Jace sons of Horace and Jasper

And than Hadie would be the one who will show them where Hades lives since hes his father and unlike Mal Hadie doesnt know Mal is his sister so when he learns he had lot of mixed feelings about it
