I might make an album

ok so theres this one fanfic I REALLY like, im insane about it and I asked if I could make an album based off it and the author said its ok. I've been making music for like a year and a half now but never made an album. Also I've never written lyrics or made something with a overarching story. I'm planning for it to be a choir/acapella thing. If anyone more experienced in making music has any tips for this, please tell me.
