“No, thankfully, I’m done.” She smirked as she closed the door behind her. “Going to get a drink actually, you want to join?”
“I’d love to. I could use a drink.” he smiled. “What do you say we go to Lammars? I usually go there.”

They smiled as he kissed their forehead, unwrapping their arms from around him and instead taking his hands in both of theirs. “That sounds perfect. So long as you’re ready to lose.”
"You know I’m totally gonna kick your ass.” he said, chuckling lightly. “Come on, let’s go. I’m sure I parked not too far from here.” Jay said as he started leading them towards where he parked his car. After a couple of minutes, he finally found the red Ferrari that stood out a lot compared to all the other cars parked. He unlocked the car and opened the door for them before he walked around to the driver side and got in, as well. “I moved back to Kingsgate.” he said. Most of his friends already knew because he invited them over after he moved in, but he forgot to mention it to Peyton. Or more like they didn’t talk as often these days. Before he’d text them all the time.
Peyton continued holding onto him, a bit less tightly now as if they had had to make sure he wasn’t going to leave them though they knew he wouldn’t. “I know, I know.” They spoke softly, more to themselves than to him now, their eyes searching for and finding his. “Me too, by the way. If you ever want to talk about anything or just —– or just see someone. I’m here.”
He smiled softly and pressed a kiss on their forehead. “Thank you.” Although he probably wouldn’t go to them to talk, it was nice to know he could go them and not talk. “Do you wanna go somewhere else? We could go to my place and play video games.”
“Jay,” she tested the name on her lips before nodding. “Devyn.”
“Pleasure to meet you, Devyn.” he smiled softly. “Are you on break right now?”
“Oh goodness.” She nodded at his observation, “You’re right. That would be worse.” She took a step back from the mess making sure to give it its due berth, “Maybe I should keep my feet away from it.”
“That’d probably be a good idea.” he nodded his head.
There’s a little gem in Haverford called Soban, specializing in the kind of food that Vera deemed a very close second to what her family’s housekeeper brewed up in her home in Kingsgate. And sure, the now sixty-year-old woman still packaged her homemade kimchi and fermented chili and soybean paste on the monthly from Busan, but Vera’s craving for authentic, full-course fresh Korean meals was a void that demanded to be filled. So even though it felt strange eating alone, she was utterly, and unabashedly content — until a bowl of some sort of stew that she know she didn’t order plopped down on the table next to her at the same time her chopsticks happened to point in that direction.
Her wooden chopsticks dove into the soup and Vera’s gaze immediately veered to her left, viewing the minor catastrophe. An uncharacteristically dumbfounded look crossed her face as she started with an: “Uhhh — I’m so sorry. I’ll pay for your next one and whatever side di —” Vera cut herself off as she decided to finally look up at the man situated on her left. “Hanjae!” she exclaimed jovially, and a dazzling smile replaced her previously perturbed expression as she leaned in and winked. “Trying to scam me for free food, huh?”
@jayyeol
Jay couldn’t help but laugh at her expression. Usually he didn’t go to restaurants by himself, but today everyone just happened to be working when he wanted to go out. The last person he imagine he’d run into was Vera since she was a surgeon. But the second he saw her, he went over to talk to her and catch up. Of course Jay couldn’t just make his presence known, he had to surprise her. “You know it, darling.” he chuckled lightly as he sat down. “How’re you doing? It’s been a while.”
@jayyeol
Devyn glanced at him for a moment before she turned her attention towards the restaurant. The girl nodded her head. “Yeah, I’ve been working here for a little over a year now. It’s… It gets some of the bills paid.”
“Oh~ okay” he said before taking another drag of his cigarette and blew out the smoke away from her. “I’m Jay, by the way.”
“I don’t know if you’ll believe this or not, but like,” the girl smiled, “this is my careful.” She looked down to the food dressing the tops of her shoes, “I mean it could have been worse.”
“Seriously?” he chuckled lightly. “Well, luckily it wasn’t worse. Try to be a little more careful though. It’d be more embarrassing to trip after you dumped the food on the floor.
