Y’all are always on Team Cap, unless the Cap in question is Sam Wilson, and I just think that’s interesting. Yeah, he and Steve aren’t the same person, but he was on the original Team Cap, was the first person to speak out against the Accords, and was hand picked by Steve to be his successor because of his integrity, morals, skill set, etc etc.

So… what is it? Hmmmm??? What’s the difference?

I can’t believe this has to be said but… you know Sam is upset at the thunderbolts* because he doesn’t want the avengers to be controlled by the government, right? That’s why he was on team cap in civil war. Do you know that? It’s important to me that you know that.

Hmm… I guess my thing is, even if Sam is really and truly suing them, I don’t think that makes him petty, bitter, mean, or vindictive 🤷🏾‍♀️

I have zero problems with it. I think he’s absolutely earned the right to his feelings and opinions regarding the Avengers and who gets to wear that title, and he’s earned the right to attempt to take whatever actions he feels necessary taking based on those feelings and opinions.

I think it’s odd that even a lot of the people “defending” Sam seem to believe he’s in the wrong.

If this lawsuit is happening, it still isn’t “ruining” Sam’s character, not even close. And, if you honestly think it does ruin the character, then maybe you simply never really liked him in the first place.

I just think Disney's pivot away from Diversity is why we are in this new Avengers nightmare right now and I wish more people would notice it and call it what it is.

Look. I get seeing a headline and taking it a certain way. I get the kneejerk reaction to not read what someone says in good faith. But Mackie has been pretty open about a lot of things in his life. So you can find out pretty quickly how he feels about things and that he is teaching his kids non toxic masculinity.

man there was just something so special about the scene where joaquin finally tells sam about the pressure he feels to be perfect, in order to live up to the standards sam set as falcon. like you can just tell from the look on his face that sam really needed to hear that: that as much as he struggles to fill steve’s shoes, somebody else is struggling to fill his. because sam is a hero—someone that kids from all around the world probably look up to, who makes people feel safe, who can always be counted on to get back up and make the right decision, super serum or not.
