Isopods. They are also called sow bugs, or woodlice. Wiki says they have about a dozen other very ridiculous names as well. There are relatives that can roll into balls - pill bugs and roly-polies are names I used as a kid. This is a "dwarf white isopod" with a very big name - Trichorhina tomentosa.
