Why Bother?

We’ve had venting channels in resource servers, RP discussion subforums on resource sites, and most recently a tea blog. What do all three have in common? You post what the mods allow you to post. And what the mods allow you to post depends on the mods’ agenda. The mods at jcinkanon don’t care what you post. name drop, blind item, screenshots, confessions, receipts, rumors: whatever. The name of the game here is transparency. Your venting, confessions and tea will be unfiltered, and lightly moderated.

Dreamwidth, as a platform, allows instantaneous posting. No queue, no inbox. You don’t submit a vent, confession, or anything else only to sit around and wonder - will the mod delete it? will they post it? will they push it to the bottom of the queue? will it ‘get lost in the mail’? will it disappear if the mod is on that site or knows that person? You post it, and it’s there.
