The deafening roar of the crowd circled around the stadium almost matched his pulse. Even while Blake recovered two floors down where the noise was buffered between thick, cold concrete. No show lights or cameras followed the beasties down here. No UV effects or fire. The werewolf considered it the most peaceful spot on earth… for the moment. Should the fighter fall this round, he could crawl on back to his ‘kennel’ early, but judging by the chants echoing above there was little doubt he’d have to meet for one last final round.

With both elbows pressed against the bars, he spoke to someone walking past him on the other side, “If you’re lookin’ for the bookies, you’re a few levels too deep.“ Seeking a distraction, he was mildly curious to know what they wanted.

Jess loved the thrill of the fights she often came to see, the exhilaration as she watched those participate. Yet, she had never ventured this far down. She caught sight of the man she’d seen fighting not long before, a grin on her lips before her features shifted into more neutral expressions. “Yeah I know, was just wonderin’... hey you were pretty good out there.”
